San Marino Anita Simoncini & Michele Perniola - Chain Of Lights San Marino will be announcing their 2015 artist next month and is considering a collaboration with Luxembourg in which San Marino will enter a duet, a male singer from Luxembourg and a female singer from San Marino. It remains to be seen whether this will happen. Full details of the artist announcement and the potential Luxembourg collaboration can be found here. Valentina Monetta has posted on her Facebook page that the San Marino broadcaster did offer her the chance to participate again in 2015 but she declined, although she said she would've liked to write a song to be performed by someone else instead - although she says that she wasn't asked to do that. |

It's a Junior Eurovision duo with Michele Perniola who was their Junior Eurovision 2013 representative and Anita Simoncini who was the sole Sammarinese member of 'The Peppermints' who represented San Marino in Malta a couple of weeks ago. Michele is currently 16 and Anita is 15 (but will be 16 by the time of the contest) - so they will probably be the 2 youngest contestants next year! I look forward to seeing what they come up with
QUOTE Sammarinese broadcaster SMRTV have selected Michele Perniola and Anita Simoncini for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. The two former Junior Eurovision singers will join forces for Vienna. Michele Perniola is a sixteen year old Italian singer. He became famous in Italy for winning a talent show, Ti Lascio Una Canzone. After that, he was selected to represent San Marino in their Junior Eurovision début in 2013. He then finished in tenth place with his song O-o-O Solo Intorno A Me. He will be joined on stage by Anita Simoncini. At the time of the contest in Vienna, she will be sixteen, possibly making her the youngest artist for Eurovision 2015 already. Anita recently entered the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with The Peppermints, where the song Breaking My Heart finished in fifteenth place. She is the only Sammarinese member of The Peppermints. Anita stated that it is a great responsibility to represent the country in Eurovision, and Michele said, when asked if he would consider representing Italy, that he was honoured that he had been offered the opportunity to represent San Marino. It will be the first time that an artist enters Junior Eurovision and Eurovision in consecutive years. Only two acts have previously entered both the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and the Eurovision Song Contest. The Tolmachevy Twins (Junior Eurovision 2006, Eurovision 2014) and Nevena Božović (Junior Eurovision 2007, Eurovision 2013) were the only two acts to do so until now. The song Michele and Anita will sing will be revealed at a later date. http://escxtra.com/2014/11/michele-perniol...cini-to-vienna/ |

Michele is Italian, but yes Anita is Sammarinese (and was the stand-out member in The Peppermints for me)!

Eh, I don't completely dislike it but it doesn't strike me as something with much hope. Try again next year Michele & Anita |

You don't even need a time machine to get you back to 2002.

It's a little dated! It does remind me of several Israeli entries, most obviously 'Light A Candle' of course!

I'm not saying it's dated but it does seem like it could have been released before both of the singers were born.

Oh my. Now this isn't good at all.
I really want to like San Marino as who doesn't love an underdog but I doubt this will qualify. Awful song, lyrics, instrumental, technical production etc I think I would prefer valentina monetta to participate every year until she wins 😂 it would defiantly happen if she tried for long enough ! Let's all pray she returns next year. |

It's not even especially dated, it's just a type of ballad that isn't really era-specific.
UNTIL THAT KEY CHANGE |

This will surely go down as one of the most iconic performances in recent years. Everyone shouting "NO!" at the beginning and Anita's "YES WE SHOULD!" being my personal highlights.
I was smiling all the way through the performance, it was enjoyable which is more than can be said for a few others. |
