After a quite good year for animation, but not too many entries, this year is mad with loads of animations from original properties to many great franchises returning! What are you anticipating the most and what else are you anticipating?
Kung Fu Panda 3- Next entry in the Kung Fu Panda franchise Norm Of The North- Critically hated movie about (supposedly) a polar bear that twerks Zootropolis- Disney's next movie which has been getting fantastic trailer reactions and fantastic reviews Robinson Crusoe- Animated movie of Robinson Crusoe which isn't by a big studio Angry Birds: The Movie- Animated movie based off the popular game Angry Birds The Secret Life Of Pets- Illumination Entertainment's (Despicable Me franchise) next movie which is about what Pets do when left at home Ice Age: Collision Course- Next entry in the massive Ice Age franchise Finding Dory- Sequel to Pixar favourite Finding Nemo Kubo And The Two Strings- Laika's new offering which is set in ancient Japan Sausage Party- Seth Rogan/James Franco/Jonah Hill adult comedy Storks- Not really too sure on this one, Andy Samberg is voicing the lead Trolls- Dreamworks movie with Anna Kendrick & Justin Timberlake voicing Moana- (Maybe 2016) Ratchet & Clank- Based on the video game (Has an American release date but not a UK one yet) Sing- Talent show comedy with an all star voice cast (2016 in America, 2017 in UK but wouldn't be surprised if it moved forward) Untitled Sony Pictures Animation- There's one on the schedule |

I'll also be using this thread throughout the year to see what ones lived up to hype and who crumbled!
My ordering: BEYOND EXCITED 1. Zootropolis 2. Finding Dory 3. Sing 4. Ice Age: Collision Course 5. The Secret Life Of Pets Beyond hyped for Zootropolis at the moment, looks incredible and so funny! Finding Dory I have high expectations for after the incredible 1st movie, Sing looks so fun and has a killer voice cast, the Ice Age franchise is always incredible and I love the concept for Secret Life Of Pets! REALLY EXCITED 6. Angry Birds: The Movie 7. Moana Angry Birds should be a bunch of fun and Disney are on fire at the moment so have high hopes for Moana. HYPED 8. Kubo And The Two Strings 9. Kung Fu Panda 3 10. Norm Of The North 11. Trolls 12. Sausage Party Laika are usually good so hopefully Kubo will be good, Kung Fu Panda 3 I'll see but I'm not the biggest fan of the franchise, Norm Of The North should be fun but nothing more, Trolls I'm not sold on yet and Sausage Party I need to see something before making an opinion on that but it will either be fantastic or dreadful. NOT TOO EXCITED YET 13. Storks 14. Untitled Sony Animated Movie 15. Ratchet & Clank 16. Robinson Crusoe Need to see something of Storks before it moves up a category here as not much about it on the internet, the Sony one will depend on whatever it is and not really anticipating the other two and not sure I'll see either! |

'Finding Dory', by quite a distance!
'Zootropolis', 'Secret Life of Pets', 'Finding Dory', 'Trolls', 'Moana' & 'Sing' are the ones I'm anticipating somewhat! |

Finding Dory!
Not heard of a few of these, for multiple choice I voted Finding Dory, Zootropolis, Secret Life of Pets and Ice Age (I'll probably go and see it, but I'm not sure whether I saw the last one that was released ). Will likely see Trolls and Angry Birds (and maybe some others) but the teasers don't have me that hyped. |

Definitely Finding Dory just because I love the original so much and Pixar have a good track record so far.
Also pretty excited for Kung Fu Panda 3 (the action scenes are always a lot of fun to watch but not one of my favourite animated franchises), Zootropolis (looks like it has so many fun easter eggs and Disney have been excellen so far this decade), The Secret Life of Pets (the first trailer was great but I sort of forgot that there has to be an actual story too so thought the more recent trailer wasn't as good :/), Ice Age (always a laugh or two to get from these and I love all the characters) and Moana (Disney again!) I'll probably end up watching a lot more of these though and enjoying them. Norm of the North, Angry Birds, Trolls, Sing and Ratchet and Clank look cool too I suppose. |

I have a suspicion Studio Ghibli will be releasing something out of the blue this year too, so I'll be holding out for that
