My Family returns for it's ninth season on Thursday at 8:30pm on BBC One. It will feature all characters from last season, excluding Siobhan Hayes who has left her role of Abi Harper.

Abi was the best thing about it really and it was already going majorly downhill, so I doubt I'll watch it

This hasn't been sharp or witty or even funny for years. I'll watch to see if it's improved, but...

Correction. It was NEVER sharp, witty or funny. Which is a shame because Zoe Wannamaker and the lead bloke (Robert Lindsay?) see perfectly capable actors.

Roger sucks. He's all about the slapstick and I can't stand that. Zoe Wanamaker, Robert Lindsay and Daniella Denby-Ashe (Janey) are all great actors, yes.

tbh i reckon they have quite strong writers for the show, last series was quite funny, also all the actors are really great, i cant see it lasting another series though, its already been downgraded to Thursday :/

second most running British sitcom apparently.

I can't keep up with my family, they play repeats when the show isn't running.... it used to be good, but 9 series? seriously, I'm surprised people even know it's still making new episodes.. But for now...

Hope I don't sound rude in saying this, but surely you don't pay £140 a year, to only recieve 30 minutes of television, on a Thursday evening, between 8.00PM-8.30PM, 'cause that's just stupid, seeing as you hate the program that is aired between those times on Thursday.

My Family returned a couple of weeks ago with a new series and i was wondering whether anyone else is happy to see it back. Now i know Nick (Kris Marshall) was one of the character that made the show however has been gone for a while and won't come back, But It still is funny ain't it maybe not a much as the older but they are trying to continue the success. I Have a boxset of all the complete serieses for my B Day last year and it just cracks me up.
