Welcome to Round 9 of Least Fave Disney Animated Classic, as we are now down to just 26 movies and we say goodbye to another 2 in yet another close battle. "The Princess and The Frog" bows out with 5 votes and plus we say goodbye to the first of the official Disney Princesses, and another total shocker "Big Hero 6" also leaves us with just 4 votes. Just goes to show how tough and severe this competition is getting as we are now losing some of the best ones.

As for the others, there weren't any high votes for the last round, with "Pocahontas" gaining 3 votes, which was probably the closest to getting voted out. "Robin Hood", "Tarzan" and "Wreck It Ralph" each gain 2, while 7 others gains 1 vote each, including for the first time "The Lion King" after 7 rounds of 0 votes.

28th The Princess and the Frog = 6 Votes

At the #28 spot is "The Princess and The Frog", which was Disney's first 2D animation film since 2004 and marked a true return to form for them, after several years of not so great movies that didn't make much of an impression. I think going back to basics with the Princess theme was the smart move to make and it definitely worked and marked a new revival for the Disney animation company. The character of Tiana the first black princess was just astounding and well deserves the praise and she has truly earned her place amongst the other princesses and plus the bad guy was great too as well as the comic relief side kicks, as well as the musical numbers, the animation, just everything works in this and there is nothing bad I can say about it.

27th Big Hero 6 = 4 Votes

At #27 is another personal fave of mine the ever brilliant "Big Hero 6", I really wished that this lasted longer in this poll, but oh well. This was Disney's first attempt at the superhero genre and it totally works, with such great and interesting characters, awesome animation and who could forget Baymax he was just wonderful. This was released a year after the mega smash "Frozen", so this had a lot to live up too, and happily it does, everything about this works, the story was great, the villain had a really great menacing presence, okay it was really easy to figure out who was behind the mask, but who cares, this was just a fun ride through and through.

Right then guys with 28 gone and 26 left, same rules apply just vote for your least fave Disney movie out of the remaining ones left and just 1 will be going in this round and then we will be down to the final 25. I'll be keeping this open for 3 days so until Tuesday 8th December.

Yay PATF is out and I'd've voted it out soon enough anyway. Not that fussed on Big Hero 6 leaving as there's still so many amazing films here. I chose Dumbo again even though it's probably going to stay for quite a while longer kink.gif

Big Hero 6 going is just bizzare. It won best animated picture this year, deservedly so!

Peter Pan for me, annoying title character in the Disney film although I like him in the live-action versions.

This is horrific taste by Buzzjack. In the past we've had extremely questionable choices, but this one is unforgiveable! cry.gif cry.gif Absolutely stunning! sad.gif

I voted 'Pocahontas'! Most of the bland and basic Disney princess stories are all on my list to go next.

I accept your right to vote for it (this is getting very hard now and i need to stop disagreeing with people's choices), but "bland" and "basic" does not describe Pocahontas! The film is intricate and beautiful and the soundtrack alone puts it above most of the other standard princess ones (Cinderella being the worst - can that go soonish please). The only thing that lets Pocahontas down is the ending for me, but it's based on the true story where she did actually leave her society but it's still a kick in the teeth imo no matter how they try to spin John Smith as a heroic figure.

I was actually deciding between 'Pocahontas', 'Cinderella' & 'Sleeping Beauty' and couldn't decide, so I opted for the choice I thought would have a better chance of going first. 'Pocahontas' has always been quite poo for me. I really don't understand why so many people rate it so highly? Similarly, I think the same about 'Mulan' (although not to the extent of 'Pocahontas'). I really don't get why it's raved about so much? At least IRL, I don't think I've seen too many people's opinions on it online to really decide if it's "raved about" or not laugh.gif

BUT OMFG. NO. First 'Big Hero 6' and now 'Wreck-It Ralph'!? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU ALL sob.gif

Thank god it's a single elimination. Wreck-It Ralph definitely shouldn't be going so soon. It's already bad enough Big Hero 6 is already out.

Anyway, Pocahontas.

Pocahontas' soundtrack is the only thing that really stands out for me, and it's the reason I've got voted for it thus far, but outside of that it wasn't very memorable for me, so I'll probably have to start voting for it soon, as it's getting more difficult.
