With the first single of the new era coming imminently, and only hints as to what we may expect... what do YOU want from it? A beautiful ballad, a banging party track, an abrasive politic number or something else?

I want no feature from a rapper (even tho i love them, just not as a first single).

I want the song to be creative and not tracing trends.

I would love a party banger, but I feel like a very strong ballad is what would be best for her commercially.

Ideally something which doesn't sound like her trying too hard to be cool or following a current trend (or even worse still, a trend from two years ago).

This is exactly how I feel. I'm really hoping for something that doesn't sound like her vocals were recorded in a tin can, too.

Party banger! Something with energy would be great.

I've gone for ballad! I absolutely LOVE her party bangers but I think the way things are right now, a ballad would be perfect. Something very, very stripped back like Promise to Try or something huge like Live to Tell. Less is more sort of vibe ~

I think we will be getting the political rant, but regardless, I'd be happy with ANY of the above :')

This is exactly how I feel. I'm really hoping for something that doesn't sound like her vocals were recorded in a tin can, too.

That's my main concern too. The recording / mixing / mastering / whatever on the last two albums has been really dodgy and spoils what could have been really good songs in some cases. I know I've kinda gone off 'Living for Love' as the vocal is really quite bad. I'm hoping that has been addressed and sorted out.

I too don't want something too try hard or anything that's too bandwagon-jumping but I do feel relatively confident we'll be getting something that's fresh and exciting, from the album at least if not the lead single. It's pretty much confirmed that there's going to be some Latin inspiration this era but at least this is a style Madonna has worked with before, so I feel it'll be done in a way that's authentic to her and not just seem like a 'Despacito' redux.

Not sure what to expect exactly from the lead single sound-wise but in terms of my own preferences I'd definitely be down for a ballad. Those were the vibes I got when I saw her new look for what I'm guessing is the single's music video. We've not had a ballad lead single for 20 years so I reckon it would really pack a punch and make a statement. Got a feeling that the video will be more political than the song itself, too.

There are rumours floating about that she maybe dropped from eurovision because organisers are not happy with the political message in the song. Not sue i believe this though.
