Sounds amazing, I fear this will take the same route as Viva Forever, but I hope i'm proved wrong.

The reviews have been mostly positive from what I've seen! I think the audience is there too. It's not quite as niche as a Spice Girls musical, so I feel like it will succeed.

It's supposed to be so uplifting (it's not a surprise when you see the song list) and joyous.

Think me and my mates are gonna go sometime next year.

I went to see this on the day it opened in the West End last Saturday and it’s honestly the best show I’ve seen. It’s really funny and uplifting.

I nervously met Max Martin there too as he was in the audience. He agreed to a photo with me

OMG what a legend!!! I'd die if I saw him tbh. I can't thank him enough for basically being the reason why I love pop music as much as I do. He literally shaped my life laugh.gif

I saw this last night and was actually really disappointed. The idea is such a good one and it could’ve been done so well but I thought it felt really amateur and pantomime-esque quite a lot of the time! A lot of the songs felt really shoehorned in for the sake of it and there were way too many ‘yaaaas’, ‘I’m LIVING for it’, ‘this party is LIT’ lines that just came across quite cringeworthy :’)

The singer who played Juliet was incredible though, as was the Anne Hathaway character and many of the others, I just wish the whole thing had been executed better. It was great seeing so many great songs being performed on the stage but some of them fell really flat (poor ‘Overprotected’ 😭).

I'm FINALLY going to see this on the last day (at the 14:30 performance though) on March 25th. Gutted it's ending it's West End run, but it's now up and running on Broadway in the US though! (Their soundtrack is available on Spotify & Apple Music too).

There's talk about this doing a full production tour too so if you haven't been able to make it to the London shows, then there's a high chance they'll be coming to a city near you soon!

I'm just ready to have an absolute BLAST!

Just got back from seeing this today in Melbourne and it was brilliant. I took my mum and she wasn’t sure what to expect, but walking it she said it was fantastic. She absolutely loved it too.

Very glad to hear that! My friends were in a similar position to your mum and they also said the same thing pretty much!

Just such a feel good, party! One of my fave theatre going experiences!

That’s great to hear!

She also came out of it say that she knew far more of the songs then she expected to know. Which shouldn’t have been a surprise. laugh.gif
