Only just sneaking into the top 10 is DJ Jonas Blue, with his best single to date Mama. The track features Australian ex-boybander William Singe and has chart sales of over a million in the UK, his second song to achieve this status after Fast Car! With the same number of points, Camila Cabello is at #74 with her debut solo single Crying in the Club, which was annoyingly snubbed from her eventual debut album Camila (which is still amazing tbf). The song made little impact in the US but was almost a UK top 10! Arcade Fire somehow got a multichart top 5 with a song I only heard a couple of weeks ago on Radio 1, and Lorde got a long-runner with Melodrama's second single Perfect Places. Somehow, CamelPhat and Elderbrook's Cola also features here. God knows how considering it's absolute tosh x

Starting out strong, and with this years 75th with more points than lasts years ohmy.gif Will be interesting to see if that pattern continues trough the results or just if this years scores are generally closer together

Mama at 75 is nice to see though tongue.gif It’s a nice song but typical Jonas Blue at this point and isn’t very memorable

That's such a short chart run for Crying In The Club ohmy.gif Can't believe it plummeted out so quickly, would've thought it'd have more longevity here than in the official chart!

It spend 19 weeks in the UK chart, 11 of those in the top 40. Almost as if once it hit ACR Buzzjack just grew tired of it.

Places became a big sleeper hit for DJ Martin Solveig, a departure from the string of future house bangers he returned to prominence with. I was anything but a fan of Charlie Puth's debut era but that's nothing a few cool funktronica tunes can't fix - How Long being one of those and the other still to come. Niall Horan fans will love this batch as we have both the rather good summer hit Slow Hands and the rather forgotten Too Much To Ask which is almost as high for some reason. And finally Ed Sheeran, whose mushy token winter ballad Perfect was essentially forced to the Christmas #1 via duets with Beyoncé and Andrea Bocelli as if solely to spite Buzzjack, the magnificence of this man heart.gif got as high as #3 on the Multi tho so you all clearly liked it anyway x

It's amazing how well 'Perfect' did, at one point when it was #11 it was only in 9 members' charts but was top 10 on all 9 of them! ohmy.gif

'Too Much To Ask' would have been well ahead of 'Slow Hands' if its entire chart run had been included! Its last three weeks were in January so those points don't count here.

One of my favorite #1s of 2017, Sam Smith’s 'Too Good At Goodbyes' predictably doesn’t do so well here. It peaked at #7 and spent only 3 weeks in the top 10. David Guetta’s only entry this year is at #64, with Justin Bieber on '2U'. I managed to avoid this song completely so I can’t give an opinion on it. kink.gif Not so with 'Real Life', another brilliant effort from Duke Dumont and his biggest hit in a few years. Jason Derulo continues to extend his chart career far longer than anyone expected, here with 'Swalla' which had a #6 peak on both the Multichart and official chart. Actually Sean Paul has remained relevant probably twice as long! Buzzjack certainly approved of his collab with Dua Lipa as 'No Lie' charted not only 17 weeks last year but also 5 weeks at the end of 2016.

Zara Larsson's I Would Like ended up split between 2016 and 2017, but the loss of a few weeks hasn't hindered its success here by much as it still impacts the top 60. Selena Gomez's very wordy comeback single Bad Liar made the top 10, before diving out of the top 75 just 4 weeks after its peak (!!). Most recent #1 at the cut-off point, Anywhere by OUR QUEEN AND GODDESS Rita Ora, doesn't have quite enough time to rack up points to feature highly, despite 9 weeks at #1 up to that point. However, it has 4 more weeks of its record-breaking run at the top that will carry over to 2017's countdown, so maybe it'll feature highly next year? Little Mix's No More Sad Songs spent quite a while in the top 10 but had a drop-off similar to that of Bad Liar, while The Chainsmokers had a longer run with only one week in the top 10, at #10, for Paris.

Rita Ora returned and became everyone's new favourite seemingly, Your Song wasn't able to knock Malibu from the #1 spot though. Those who still craved more dance pop Gaga were given their wish when 'The Cure' was dropped out of nowhere in April, it's her 14th Multi #1 to date. Rag'n'Bone Man scored breakout success with soulful pop anthem "Human", and then The xx rather impressively made a dent in the multichart top 10 with "On Hold"! Shawn Mendes decided to redeem himself in 2017 by releasing an enjoyable piece of music~ his second top 5 single after Stitches

We here at Buzzjack are oblivious to Carly Rae Jepsen no longer being popular, as ‘Cut To The Feeling’ got to #3 without being even remotely a hit. Even ‘Run Away With Me’ only reached #4 on the Multichart! Fellow Canadian Justin Bieber is at #49 with ‘Friends’, a song which simply deserved better (including a full music video and A-list on Radio 1 [/hadji]). The Ryan Riback remix of Starley’s ‘Call On Me’ turned it into one of the first hit songs of 2017; in fact the next two songs are from Q1 too. ‘Ciao Adios’ is by far Anne-Marie’s biggest solo hit on the Multichart. You’d be surprised to know that ‘Alarm’ only peaked at #20! And at #46 we have Zedd and Alessia Cara (another Canadian!) with ‘Stay’, which has recently returned to the chart after the vocals were re-recorded by Maren Morris—although some sources say they’re actually two different songs unsure.gif

Just outside the top 40 now, and we see Buzzjack favourites Little Mix team up with Latin sensations CNCO to score another big hit. Strangely though, Reggaetón Lento stalled at #7 on four occasions, never making it any higher! MK scored a huge hit with 17 in the official charts and the multi followed, even matching in terms of its peak. UK #1 rockstar proved Buzzjack don't hate urban songs as much as they make out, as it made it up to #4 with solid longevity. Back to this site's comfort zone though, Demi Lovato scored a big top 10 with her love/hate comeback track Sorry Not Sorry (I love it *.*), and Taylor scores this year's 2nd highest non-top 10 hit with Ready For It.

we enter the top 40 with the third of four Little Mix appearances, album highlight Power with added Stormzy cool.gif that peaked at #2 in the summer as did Sigala & Ella Eyre's collab Came Here For Love. ZAYN & Taylor's Fifty Shades whateveritwas single reached a peak of #9 twice- perhaps a reflection of quality that Liam & Rita's soundtrack single only took two weeks to achieve a higher position. Kesha's soaring and emotional ballad Praying went down a storm- picking up four weeks at #3. DJ Khaled brought a bit of Santana back to the charts with Wild Thoughts, one of the year's big summer anthems. I'm The One hasn't made the cut so it's not quite ~ANOTHER ONE~ but one is better than none amiriteeee

Marshmello has become the most recent in-demand DJ, with his big marshmallow mask that totally isn't copying off of Deadmau5. He and Khalid both had a massive breakthrough hit last autumn with 'Silence'. House trio Disciples really impressed Buzzjack with their song 'On My Mind', as they spent three weeks at #3 (behind 'The Cure' and 'Symphony')! Martin Garrix catered to Buzzjack's tastes more blatantly, with a Dua Lipa collab that got to #2, kept from #1 by Dua herself ('Be The One') as well as Katy Perry. But it's Martin Jensen who wins the battle of the Martins at #32 with 'Solo Dance'. This peaked at #7 both officially and on the Multichart, but it had three weeks at #7 here compared to just one in the UK. And the only non-dance song in this section, Harry Styles' brilliant solo debut 'Sign Of The Times' is at #31, best known for finally dethroning Ed Sheeran's 'Shape Of You' after its 13th week at #1 in the UK!

Matching its UK peak, Julia Michaels' Issues racked up an impressive 20 weeks in the multichart despite only one of those being in the top 10. Clean Bandit's Rockabye was a huge #1 and spent the final of its eight weeks at the top in 2017, before a very good run amonst the rest of the chart. Charlie Puth's second appearance is at #28, proving he can convince the haters he'd amassed on Buzzjack after the (criminally underrated) Nine Track Mind era. Katy Perry's comeback was unsurprisingly a multi-week #1 smash, but its longevity left a lot to be desired. FREEZE! J Balvin and Willy William's Latin crossover smash Mi Gente was the only foreign language hit of last year not to require an English feature (although it eventually got one anyway when Beyoncé decided to ruin it). It's not the highest non-top 10 track in the countdown even...!

Steps brought us the campest of all comeback singles with Scared of the Dark, for which there was plenty of demand as it reached the Multi top 3. More comeback singles follow with Paloma Faith's Crybaby scoring four almost-consecutive weeks at #9, while Miley Cyrus's Malibu managed a whopping 6 weeks at the #1 spot (quite deserved as it's one of the better hits of last year x). The Chainsmokers & Coldplay premiered their big collab single on the Brits last year, it went on to reach #3. Jax Jones got out the tribal drums for his summer hit Instruction with Demi & Stefflon (there's an even bigger track from him still to come)

Two more Multichart #1s drop out in this section, the first being perhaps my favorite of them all, Dua Lipa's 'Be The One'! This was first released in 2015 and had generated a following here back then, but that didn't stop the song from smashing the Multichart the second time around! Another of my 2017 faves, 'Unforgettable' had a slow-burning official chart run and here as well, although Buzzjack didn't let it peak nearly as high. You might have expected higher for 'Touch' considering its 5 weeks at #1, but it was disadvantaged from being a late 2016 release and later dropped out of the Multichart from #44! ohmy.gif Taylor Swift's comeback 'Look What You Made Me Do' did not earn her a Multi #1 like it did officially (stuck behind 'New Rules'), but it did rather well aside from that 8-30 drop. And at #16 we have Buzzjack's FAVOURITE artist, Ed Sheeran! The numbers don't lie, no matter how much people moan in the chart forum they still chart his songs...not only 'Castle On The Hill' but also 'Shape Of You' which, believe it or not, is still to come! mellow.gif

Just outside the top 10 now! Zayn surprised everyone and scored a #1 hit with Dusk Till Dawn last year, helped of course by some guest vocals from Sia. He became the first solo 1D member to get a #1 hit, and in fact, he managed to outdo all of 1D's singles too! Kygo and Selena Gomez teamed up for the instant hit It Ain't Me, which made #2. Surprisingly, Lorde's Green Light never actually made #1, stuck at #2 for a huge seven weeks! Its huge Buzzjack following could only get it so far. P!nk's comeback was another long-running #2, never quite making the top spot but an undeniable smash hit. Finally, only just missing the top 10, Jax Jones scored a #1 at the start of 2017 with You Don't Know Me, sneaking one week between Little Mix's Touch and Dua Lipa's Be the One.

Ooh, and here we have a carry-over from 2016 that still managed enough points in 2017 for a year-end top 10! This was my second-favorite song of last year so I'm thrilled to see it do so well, peaking at #2 behind 'Touch' for a week. It was The Weeknd's second consecutive collab with Daft Punk following 'Starboy', and you can much more clearly recognize Daft Punk's contribution on this one. Katy Perry scored two #1s on the multichart last year, and here we have the second! However, it's not her last song to appear ohmy.gif #spoilers. Katy teamed up with Calvin Harris, who led the way in this star-studded collaboration also featuring Pharrell and Big Sean. Feels was the third official single from the Funk Wav Bounces, Vol. 1 album, and became a UK #1 single last summer. It had a very lengthy top 10 run here, but dropped off surprisingly quick after it left the top tier!

SheeranMania swept the nation in 2017, and Shape Of You was the worldwide chart topper that set the stage for it all. A song originally written in mind for Rihanna, someone you wouldn't expect to sing about putting 'Van the Man' on the jukebox so in the end it was Ed's. It's his second-highest peaker on the Multi behind Thinking Out Loud (#2)

You might be surprised that Katy Perry's highest appearance isn't with six-week Multi #1 'Chained To The Rhythm' but with her third Witness single 'Swish Swish'! Of course it benefits from going top 10 before it was even an official single, and it hung around the Multichart up until that point while her other singles were long gone. In fact, it was top 40 for its entire 22-week run (i.e. never charting between #41 and #75) AND, like 'Feel It Still' its EOY peak is higher than it ever charted in a given week!

Unless you live in a cave, it's a guarantee that you will have heard Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's huge Latin-crossover smash Despacito at some point last summer. It was already a huge hit in Latin America when Justin Bieber jumped on a remix of the track, sending it stratospheric on a global scale. It went to #1 in the UK, even managing a couple of weeks at #1 after being hit by ACR. In the multichart, it didn't quite make the top spot, but nonetheless spent nine weeks in the top 10 and a huge 27 weeks in the top 75 (including its original version).
