A few days with the thread for this:
Italy's Luca Wackermann was taken to hospital after a helicopter "flying too low" caused a crash near the end of stage four of the Giro d'Italia. Vini Zabu-KTM's Wackermann and Etienne van Empel both fell in the incident. Dutch rider Van Empel was able to get back up but his team-mate was less fortunate. "Wackermann was sent to the hospital, he was barely conscious," team boss Andrea Citracca told Italian TV station RAI2. "The helicopter was flying too low, the movement of the air blew up the barriers. It is not clear if he has broken his pelvis. The barriers were not tied properly." Vini Zabu-KTM later confirmed that Wackermann had abandoned the race with a broken nose and has a suspected broken back, along with multiple cuts and bruises. |

EXCELLENT win for Ganna today! Great to see him stay away from the group when it seemed very unlikely he could, I hadn't really heard of him wxcept for at the World Championships but he could be a big player in the future.
Also I'd rather not have to listen to Wiggins commentate. |

Jumbo-Visma have withdrawn from the Giro after a positive COVID test.
Decent win from Sagan today though! |

Sorry neglecting this,
France's Arnaud Demare claimed his fourth win of this years tour in a sprint finish on Stage 11. He held off Peter Sagan and Alvaro Jose Hodeg. |

Richard Plugge says Team Jumbo-Visma campaigned their fellow teams to postpone the Giro d’Italia, with the team withdrawing from the race after an unsuccessful bid. Jumbo-Visma leader Steven Kruijswijk tested positive for Covid-19 on the rest day.

Didn't catch yesterday's stage but so glad I saw it today! Kelderman/Hindley did really well but so did Almeida to keep the pink by a handful of seconds. And of course a fab win for Geoghan Hart, a fifth win for Ineos and up to 4th in GC. Would be great to see a British rider get on the podium after the two big name ones dropping out so early

I was rooting for Tratnik yesterday but I did feel a bit for O'Connor finishing second so good to see him take the stage today! A rather disappointing GC stage though...

The Grand Tours are really throwing up the surprises this year aren't they, fab stage to watch! Kelderman, who was 15 seconds behind Almeida, gains two minutes on him, but loses 2 and a half minutes to the two riders directly behind him giving us 15 seconds between 1st and 3rd
 Both Teo and Hindley in a very good position to take the stage now.

If I understand it correctly, Hindley beat Geoghan Hart comfortably on the first, downhill TT, while Geoghan Hart beat Hindley comfortably in the second, uphill TT.
The final one is flat. Could end up being very, very close. |

Would have liked an even smaller gap between him and Hindley after the closeness going into the time trial but a fantastic race nonetheless.
