I remember when I first heard this, I was in the car on the way home from school and thought "omg, what a brilliant song" It was the first Gaga single I propeerly loved

I vividly remember the first time I downloaded the leaked demo and listened to it, and vividly remember when it properly came out too and being sat on my bed when I first listened to it, incredible from the first listen and now easily one of my absolute favourite songs of all time. 5 years ago is crazy though :/ To think I was in year 8!

Gah, if only we could go back to these days when I was obsessed with Gaga and this song. I think it's aged incredibly well and I'll never not think it's her best song, I don't think. I wish she could find something, dig deep and make somethng as killer as this in the future; her ear for a great melody is still there, still a super and creative lyricist, it's just not as good.

I was saying to Bal though, I remember being disappointed when this leaked purely because I'd been obsessed with the demo for weeks, playing it on repeat, so when bits like the male 'woaaah woaaah' bits were removed from the chorus, I was like WHAT?! Obviously I soon saw the light.

The club I go to still plays that demo

When 'Bad Romance' premiered on radio I remember the dj saying "and this is what Lady Gaga sounds like when she's drunk"

I can still remember exactly where I was when I first heard this. It was on the radio on the way to a 9 o'clock lecture and the entire lecture I was just BUZZING and itching to replay it when I left lmao.

Like pretty much the entire universe, I adored this when it was released... it just kinda hasn't aged that well for me. It's still good and I'd never turn it off but it saddens me a bit that I don't think of it in the 11/10 way that I used to.

'Bad Romance' has since gone on to win 2 Grammy Awards, be certified 11-times platinum in the US, topped the charts in more than 20 countries, sold 12 million copies worldwide, have one of the most highly rated music videos of all time, won 7 MTV VMAs and countless other accolades.
