Today marks the 8th year that Little Mix were formed on X Factor.

The best thing XF has ever done was putting these 4 together. wub.gif

Do you guys have any memories of first seeing them being put together? Were you a fan during X Factor or a fan when they started releasing their music after winning the show?

Wow 8 years already! I've been a fan ever since their 'E.T.' performance on X Factor, everything clicked into place with that wub.gif

I remember seeing them being put together and thinking "great another girl group that will only last about 4 shows". But it seemed that the public were ready for a new girl group. I don't think they were ever bottom 2 but their peaks came at exactly the right times and exactly when they needed them.

Superbass got a pass for being their first big performance together, but it was otherwise a performance which would have eliminated them/other girl groups in the past. 'I'm Like A Bird' showed their growth after being together for just a few weeks. 'E.T.' gave us a PERFORMANCE with great vocals and ever since 'Don't Let Go (Love)' it was all systems go and they were firm favourites with people.

The ideology of a group ever winning the XF after 1D failed to do so seemed very unrealistic. But they did it thankfully and have become one of the biggest groups of all time with over 50m records sold WW. We stan!!

Imagine the money you’d have made betting on them to win at like Live Show 1 stage!

Doesn’t feel like 8 years at all. I remember South Shields going crazy the night they won! (And also the night Joe won in 2009 as well)

Definitely the best UK girl group vocally and one of the biggest acts of this decade.

They also had such a rare X Factor like career where they peaked at albums 3 and 4 where as most acts have a big debut then get less successful with each release. They really done the opposite.

Props to them for still being together too. 8 years for a girl group is impressive especially as they’ve been together the whole time and they’re all still as committed as one another.

Probably my second favourite winner after Leona but definitely one of the best acts to come from the show.

Don’t Let Go is one of the best ever live show performances.

Yeah, 8 consecutive years is insane for a manufactured pop group. wub.gif It's so refreshing to see the girls still as into it as they were all those years ago too!

I remember being so mad when they were renamed to Little Mix, rhythmix remains the superior name.
Tulisa made some bad choices in the beginning with their song choices but when they performed ET *.*
I was rooting for them from the beginning as I have a soft spot for girlbands (surprising isnt it) but that performance made me a stan

I forgot they were called Rhythmix why did they change the name? I can’t imagine them not being Little Mix now.

I think they had one of the best X Factor journeys. Like their career after they didn’t peak immediately. It wasn’t until ET that they became a force on the show, the other boy bands were initially more popular. I’m so impressed with them and hope they keep going for many more years, they seem smart enough to realise that they are stronger together than apart.

I think Rhythmix was taken by someone else so they were forced to change it

WROOONG.

you are inflating their maudlin sales with STREAMING. They weren't very big, weren't worldwide, and will be forgotten aboot as soon as they FINALLY split and go full time Instagram models. They're no Spice. They're no TLC. They're not even a Saturdays.

They were huge here during Get Weird / Glory Days in the Uk. Literally one of the biggest UK acts for a good few years.
