British Female never seems to be a very strong category.
As well as Mabel, I'd put Jade Bird, Marina, Freya Ridings and Emeli Sandé as possible nominations. |

Ideally given the strength of the material, Dido would be nominated. But the Brits have ignored her since she stopped being commercially successful so I won’t hold my breath

I’m predicting Coldplay to get the outstanding contribution award.

Dido should win based on album quality, I wouldn't mind Freya her album is very good too
I think they'll also add FKA Twigs just to show they're cool guess Emeli Sande will be nominated too even if her album was so uneventful, after all she won best female for Long Live the Angels but knowing the Brits sure Mabel's label has already bought it there's too much payola and label shenanigans involved in the Brits |

Yeah she's a bit dull, not really looking forward to her performance.

The BRITs Are Coming nominations launch will take place on January 11th on ITV. Alice Levine will host with Liam Payne, Aitch, Dermot Kennedy, Mabel and Freya Ridings performing.

British Male is gonna be tough. Hopefully Sam Fender will win but I think it might be Dermot Kennedy!
I'm thinking the list will probs be: - Aitch > He's performing on the nominations show for a reason, right? < - Dermot Kennedy - Ed Sheeran - Sam Fender - Stormzy BUT where will Harry Styles fit? I can't see any of those not getting nominated, but I really can't see them not nominating Harry... GAH. I'd cancel out Ed personally, considering it wasn't a solo album and just all features. EDIT: WAIT. When is the Brits deadline actually? Maybe Stormzy and Harry have to wait until next year? |

I think Dermot Kennedy may object to being nominated for best British male...

Don't think Aitch will as it's always people who have released albums that year, he only released an EP.

I’m not sure what the eligibility/cut-off period is, it was 14 months this year overlapping the 2018 one and allowing Sam Smith to be nominated

I mean, I’m imagining Lewis Capaldi will sweep up - surprised he’s been missed from that prediction entirely.

Is the obvious Irish accent in 'Outnumbered' not a giveaway? I could see him being nominated for the international male award I guess ~

I've heard the song just a couple of times and I just assumed he was another James Arthur/Lewis Capaldi and had a gravelly/grating voice Didn't really pay attention too much as to whether he had an accent or not.
