Now that Ariana has officially been given a seventh UK #1, let's see how she does against other similarly big names! There's a mix of both classic and current names so it could get interesting.
Every performer with seven (no more, no less) UK #1s will go head-to-head to see which of these had the best. Here's each of their 4th #1 hits.. Ariana Grande Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored Elton John Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word {Blue feat. Elton} George Michael Somebody To Love {from "Five Live"} Jess Glynne Don't Be So Hard on Yourself Justin Bieber I'm the One Kylie Minogue Spinning Around McFly Don't Stop Me Now Michael Jackson You Are Not Alone Robbie Williams Somethin' Stupid Sam Smith Writing's on the Wall Tinie Tempah Crazy Stupid Love U2 Take Me to the Clouds Above Which of these is your fave? She's clearly got a brigade going and doesn't need my vote...but I did vote Kylie this time.

Definitely Spinning Around - first time voting for Kylie! Take Me to the Clouds Above second (wouldnt count this as a number one for U2 though) and Something Stupid third.

U2 Take Me to the Clouds Above [FAVE - but not really because of them!]
Elton John Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word {Blue feat. Elton} [love the song in either version] Kylie Minogue Spinning Around [really great early 00s pop track] Michael Jackson You Are Not Alone [nice ballad, very dramatic] Robbie Williams Somethin' Stupid [pretty decent duet as far as they go] Sam Smith Writing's on the Wall [the best bond theme but most of them suck tbf] Jess Glynne Don't Be So Hard on Yourself [not bad but don't really revisit it] Justin Bieber I'm the One [never was a big fan, Bieber's parts are the only good parts] Ariana Grande Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored [bang average] George Michael Somebody To Love {from "Five Live"} [unnecessary Queen cover] Tinie Tempah Crazy Stupid Love [dreadful] McFly Don't Stop Me Now [rather pull my ears off] |

Difficult one this week... 'Spinning Around' was such a big comeback single for Kylie. Robbie & Nicole's 'Something Stupid' was a really lovely version. McFly's 'Don't Stop Me Now' was a great cover. But this is literally the only time I'll go for Sam Smith in these polls. 'Writing's On The Wall' is my favourite Sam Smith single and one of my favourite Bond themes!

U2's only multi-week #1 and they're merely sampled on it
Voted Jess Glynne, for me that's her best song. |

I think I'll go for Kylie this time but MJ, Robbie and Jess all come close.
Ranking. Kylie Michael Jackson Robbie & Nicole Jess Glynne George Michael Elton & Blue Ariana Grande U2 McFly Justin Bieber Sam Smith Tinie Tempah Don't rate any of the last three as they are all mediocre imo. |

Gone for Ariana this time but this is Kylie's best song included so far so not mad at it landsliding (between that and Jess Glynne for my 2nd fave here).
RIP my 4 for 4 streak of voting for the winner but still could go 5 for 5 on my vote advancing as Ariana is currently 2nd (although only just). |
