A lot has been said about the hype this song received prior to release. Now we've had it for nearly two days (and the music video for one), does it live up to the hype it had?

Consider the hype you yourself had and your opinions to it..

Yep! It's not ABOVE the hype I had if that makes sense but just at the level. The video goes above and beyond though cheeseblock.png

It took me until the video was released for it to fully hit me, but bloody hell I love it now!!

I voted yes and yes.

The song completely does. I thought the production would've been very jarring because I read it could fit on ARTPOP, but in fact it's taken the best bits of ARTPOP and has been really fine tuned so it's near perfection for me. The length doesn't bother me at all - I just listen multiple times laugh.gif

And the video lives up to it too for me, mainly because I wasn't expecting them to necessarily be together in the same place so when that happened I was overwhelmed. I have rewatched it multiple times and I think it adds so much meaning and joy to the song.

Absolutely wub.gif it's so rare that these collaborations live up to the hype but they actually pulled it off on both counts!

Yes on both counts!

I tried not to have too many preconceptions of the song, although I did think it would take some doing for Ariana and Gaga not to come up with a fantastic song together. I was surprised by the more dance-influenced production and structure, but it works perfectly; it's like a constant stream of euphoria and acts as a wonderful backdrop to Ariana and Gaga's heavenly vocals!

Again, didn't have any expectations for the video but it delivered for me. It has a similar vibe to 'Stupid Love' but a lot more going, lots of great imagery and moments for the fans and the choreography is such fun! That hug at the end is the cutest.

Yes and Yes and I thought I'd be voting no for both because the hype was SO huge and I thought it was going to be impossible to live up to it.

Best song and video Gaga's put out since 2011. Couldn't be a prouder fan heart.gif

This is an odd question to answer because... it doesn't meet the expectations I had, but it's created it's own lane of "okay it's not what I wanted or expected, but I'm really happy with what I got' if that makes any sense. So I've voted yes for the first one.

The second one, I don't want to bark on about for too long because I hate to be needlessly negative in a room of positivity. I thought it was gonna be an epic, so to see a second dance heavy music video in a row from Gaga, alongside an Ari who seemed to struggle to keep up, doesn't really live up to my hopes.

But, the parts of unity and friendship warmed my heart so strongly that those parts did live up and the aesthetic and looks combination is to die for wub.gif so I am ultimately very here for the whole package.

Yes to both! The video is amazing and elevates the song, which is a certified BOP anyway, even more.

There are old gay stans in my social media bubble who think the song is very meh though, they still live in the Bad Romance era and are missing a lot.

The video really sold it to me and made me a full-blown stan and my wig flew through the roof thereafter.

Considering just how much hype this had, the results of this poll are (pleasantly) surprising to see. It had so much build up and yet... it managed to deliver? Slay x

For me, being honest, it's no to both. I am hoping the other songs will peak my interest more.

That's basically exactly where I stand with it!
