The charming and talented frontman/one man band and his cohorts have had a whole host of singles, and here we are to find which one is a fave of you guys! There were quite a few so I just included ones that charted in the UK or US or were certified in either territory (so I am including promo singles too), I doubt anyone will particularly miss the few I took out? From their emo and pop punk beginnings to their recent huge hit High Hopes, which will come out on top?? *.*

- Please rate as many as possible, it doesn't have to be all of them but I've done a Spotify playlist so you can listen and try and rate as many as possible, if you don't know them then they are right there to listen to.
- Rate the below from 0-10, with ONE optional -1 and ONE optional 11, no limits on anything else.
- .5 scores are fine but not 10.5 or -0.5, no other decimals like 8.34 or sth please laugh.gif
- Commentary encouraged, you don't have to do whole essays but some hype or predictions maybe.
- You have until 16th October at 23:59 to rate with results to follow soon after.

They have an impeccable catalogue besides Pretty. Odd that almost made me stop listening to them at that time, there's a few good songs but as whole that era is a NO for me, I'm glad Brendon has established himself and found his own sound for the band. Ryan's big ego to change the sound drastically was a big mistake.

"A Fever You can't Sweat out" is one of the albums that will stay with me forever. wub.gif
"Too Weird to live, too Rare To Die" is one of the best albums titles ever and one of Panic's best song is on there, "This Is Gospel".
I didn't like "Death Of A Bachelor" when it came out but it grew on me a lot and hands down Panic"s third best album.
"Vices & Virtues" has some good gems. The Balllad of Monalisa is one of their best lead singles.

Panic! have solidified themselves as one of my all-time favourite bands this year after I first 'discovered' them in 2015 when the campaign for Death of a Bachelor begun. I'd heard plenty of their music before but this was the album which really pulled me in and hooked me as a fan. It was too hard rating these singles and missing out a handful of singles (although thank you for adding Victorious wub.gif) so I've added a few of my own laugh.gif Not exactly singles anyway for the most part I don't think but standout album tracks/weird releases/songs that got music videos. I'd happily do a full discog rate tbh but I doubt many others would tongue.gif

A Fever You Can't Sweat Out- 8.4
09.0 The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage
10.0 I Write Sins Not Tragedies
07.5 But It's Better If You Do
08.5 Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off
07.0 Build God, Then We'll Talk

Their debut is probably seen by many as their best album, and as much as I'd love to agree I just don't laugh.gif I Write Sins Not Tragedies is an amazing song (as is The Only Difference) and both would be my immediate highlights. I Write Sins rightfully seems to be an 'emo' staple and I'm still mad at the OCC for giving it a #25 peak sad.gif

Pretty. Odd. - 8
09.5 Nine In The Afternoon
07.5 Mad As Rabbits
07.0 That Green Gentleman (Things Have Changed)
08.0 Northern Downpour

A departure from their original sound isn't something you often see when a band releases only their second studio album, but Pretty. Odd. defied the norm and gave us some Beatles/Beach Boys inspired pop music. I guess this is where the big divide climaxes (both in the band and in their fanbase at a time). I love this album and fully consider Nine In The Afternoon one of their best singles, but I admit this is my least favourite album :/

Vices & Virtues - 8.83
10.0 The Ballad Of Mona Lisa
09.0 Let's Kill Tonight
07.5 Ready to Go (Get Me Out of My Mind)

The Ballad Of Mona Lisa is so close to being my 11 here! wub.gif Each one of their albums has lot's of great songs on but they also have that one song that is just amazing and here is it Mona Lisa. Singles wise I suppose this is one of the more forgotten albums, whether thats because there was less singles released or just because the ones that were weren't for the most part the strongest to pick from idk

Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die! - 10.25
10.0 Miss Jackson
11.0 This Is Gospel
10.0 Girls / Girls / Boys
10.0 Nicotine

omggggg my actual favourite Panic! At The Disco album with the BEST single choices ever imaginable. Basically all of my 10's in this rate could be 11's on a different day but This Is Gospel is a song I do generally refer to as my absolute favourite. Everything from the production, the lyrics, and the video which would go on to start an iconic Panic! trio (This Is Gospel, Emperor's New Clothes, Say Amen) is just *.* Miss Jackson is a very very very close second though, as is Girls/Girls/Boys which I found out last week is about Brendan's first threesome laugh.gif. Nicotine was robbed of a normal single release but definitely deserved a proper push dance.gif "I look like Rocky Balboa". For the record Vegas Lights, Girl That You Love and Far Too Young To Die would be 9.5's kink.gif

Death of a Bachelor - 9.33
08.5 Hallelujah
08.5 Victorious
09.5 Emperor's New Clothes
10.0 Death Of A Bachelor
09.5 Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time
10.0 LA Devotee

The true first album I ever listened to in whole and like I said before the one which really hooked me in as a fan. I swear if I had last.fm in 2015 Hallelujah would be at least in my Top 5 most played songs because I remember spamming it soooo much. In fact I spammed most of this album in 2016... and 2017... and 2018 (it's currently #10 in my most players albums of the year). Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time is an absolute tune with the best bridge on the album. Ugh I'm listening to this now and it's so fking good!!! Maybe this is my favourite Panic! album over Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die... Crazy=Genius is a 10 too

Suicide Squad - 8 (Heathens is a solid 11/10 tho)
08.0 Bohemian Rhapsody

The only cover that has ever done the Queen classic any justice, Brendan knows what he's doing and sings this fantastically. Not as good as Freddie Mercury, but almost.

Pray for the Wicked - 9
09.5 Say Amen (Saturday Night)
09.5 Hey Look Ma, I Made It
10.0 High Hopes
07.5 (F*** A) Silver Lining
08.5 King Of The Clouds

High Hopes has really become a huge hit for them hasn't it? Highest charting single in Aus and the UK and probably/eventually more places. Brendan's brief broadway stint really shines on this whole album - one of the first thoughts I had was "wow this is so theatrical" and I love every second of it. Roaring 20s really deserves to be the next single, or Hey Look Ma, I Made It. (F*** A) Silver Lining is a bop too despite me not being too keen at first, it definitely grew on me as the album opener although I think it still overshadowed by Say Amen (Saturday Night). The album has 355 plays on my last.fm so far this year, not including the any plays from before April...

a simple c/p layout
09.0 The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage
10.0 I Write Sins Not Tragedies
07.5 But It's Better If You Do
08.5 Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off
07.0 Build God, Then We'll Talk
09.5 Nine In The Afternoon
07.5 Mad As Rabbits
07.0 That Green Gentleman (Things Have Changed)
10.0 The Ballad Of Mona Lisa
09.0 Let's Kill Tonight
10.0 Miss Jackson
11.0 This Is Gospel
10.0 Girls / Girls / Boys
08.5 Hallelujah
08.5 Victorious
09.5 Emperor's New Clothes
10.0 Death Of A Bachelor
09.5 Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time
10.0 LA Devotee
08.0 Bohemian Rhapsody
09.5 Say Amen (Saturday Night)
09.5 Hey Look Ma, I Made It
10.0 High Hopes

wow ok these are all high scores

Totally agree on AFYCSO, I think maybe the people who say that have the nostalgia factor whereas I only got into them this era and then went back to the albums, and quality wise the first three are my weakest (Pretty Odd then V&V and then A Fever). I can imagine it being a lot stronger if you had your emo phase then and grew up with it but those three don't compare to the most recent 3!

08.5 The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage

10 I Write Sins Not Tragedies - absolute classic, always loved this even long before I got into them, it was always the song I knew them for.

07 But It's Better If You Do

08 Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off

06 Build God, Then We'll Talk

09 Nine In The Afternoon - a really good track from a bit of a dud era, it was admirable they changed so much for a second era but I'm glad it was only for that one era laugh.gif

06 Mad As Rabbits

07 That Green Gentleman (Things Have Changed)

09 The Ballad Of Mona Lisa

08 Miss Jackson

10 This Is Gospel - tough competition this was almost my 11 too, for all the emotion and power in it and I think this is possibly the song that shows Brendan's vocal strength the best wub.gif

09 Girls / Girls / Boys - bisexual anthem x

08 Hallelujah

08 Victorious

07 Emperor's New Clothes

08 Death Of A Bachelor

10 Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time - one of my absolute faves of theirs, the sample riff really lifts it wub.gif

07 LA Devotee

09 Bohemian Rhapsody - an astounding cover, there's been a couple of really decent ones (P!nk, Saara Aalto) but I can't believe how much justice this does to a song I hold so dear, one of my absolute all time faves and undeniably one of the biggest and greatest songs of all time.

10 Say Amen (Saturday Night) - the song that really kicked off me loving them, I instantly loved it, checked out the album and their other stuff!

08 Hey Look Ma, I Made It - bop, would be a solid third single, such a fun video too!

11High Hopes - a real pop money shot without "selling out", one of my most played songs of the year and i'm gonna give it that 11 *.*

10 The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage - Pop-punk at its best.

10 I Write Sins Not Tragedies

07 But It's Better If You Do

08 Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off - I love the chorus, but the verses are a bit weak.

06 Build God, Then We'll Talk

10 Nine In The Afternoon - The whole Pretty. Odd. album is underrated, and this is brilliant.

08 Mad As Rabbits

09 That Green Gentleman (Things Have Changed)

10 The Ballad Of Mona Lisa

04 Miss Jackson - Can't stand this one, probably my least favourite Panic single.

08 This Is Gospel

05.5 Girls / Girls / Boys

05 Hallelujah

08 Victorious

09 Emperor's New Clothes

07 Death Of A Bachelor - Never quite seen the popularity of this one, it's quite good, but nowhere near their best

11 Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time - Absolute banger

07.5 LA Devotee

04 Bohemian Rhapsody - I hate the original, so this version can only be marginally better.

08 Say Amen (Saturday Night)

10 Hey Look Ma, I Made It

10 High Hopes - Belter and their biggest UK chart hit now!

i love the praise for "Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time" here, this song is absolutely a banger. The B-52's sample is so good.
