Whilst we're revisiting 00s dance in the chart forum, it's time we ranked the biggest dance hits of the 2000s.
The top 15 best-selling dance songs of each year in the UK have been selected, simply rank them from +15 (favourite) to +01 (least favourite) and the top four of each group will be put into a grand final. 2008 2008 was a funny year for dance music. With three entries here it really was Basshunter who owned the year, starting out with multi-week number one hit 'Now You're Gone' and following that up with number two 'All I Ever Wanted' and a further top 20 'Angel In The Night'. It was a big year for Eurodance with Basshunter as well as Sash, Scooter and September. Meanwhile the biggest dance hit of the year belonged to Dizzee Rascal with the song that turned him into a huge name, 'Dance Wiv Me' in collaboration with Calvin Harris. Eric Prydz scored his final hit with 'Pjanoo', bassline made a resurgence with H "Two" O and Platnum, electro house made its impact with Guru Josh Project and Utah Saints (both remixes of 90s hits), Booty Luv were still a thing, electronic act Hot Chip had a hit and Mint Royale's 'Singin In The Rain' had a re-release following its usage on Britain's Got Talent, going to number one. I've listened to all of these as I don't remember some of them. I don't like the Basshunter tracks at all so they go to the bottom of my list. The younger ones on here may be unaware that the Scooter song has the same tune as A Glass Of Champagne by Sailor from 1975.
