I was going to open this last week, off the back of Ultron hype, but discussed with the mods and decided to wait another week, so more people had seen Age of Ultron. I'll leave this first round open until Sunday night - so that anyone who still hasn't seen it can make a dash to the cinema. (This is just from the Marvel Cinematic Universe canon, which is why there is no Spider-Man, X-Men, etc) Get voting! This post has been edited by Joe.: 6th May 2015, 11:39 AM |

'Thor' gets my first vote! Controversial I know, but it's the only one I found my mind wandering elsewhere throughout the film. It's ok, just everything feels anti-climatic, especially the main baddie towards the end. WTF was that?!
It probably would have been 'Iron Man 2' for me, if I hadn't watched it again not too long ago. That's actually alright. Still a lot of lost potential went into it, but it wasn't as bad as I remembered it being on my first viewing. I have 'Thor' & 'Thor 2' to rewatch (I'm having a Marvel CU binge lately) so maybe the same thing will happen to 'Thor' as to what happened with IM2 for me? WHO KNOWS. |

I went for Iron Man 2, though it has its moments.

'Thor: The Dark World' for me. Easily the worst imo.

Thor 2 is AMAZING, definitely among the very best there.
I've voted for Captain America: The First Avenger, utterly boring, forgettable and just generally not very good. I have little interest in Cap anyway, but The Winter Soldier was amazing so it proves even a bad character CAN be good if they do everything else right. TFA has a weak bad guy and just lurches along with terrible pacing, acting and characterisation (beyond the brilliant Peggy Carter). |

Fwoot, I found Thor II I found was great, too!
I agree Captain America: First Avenger is quite boring - but Winter Soldier, funnily enough is a stand out to me. I expected The Incredible Hulk would pick up all the votes here (even though I really enjoyed it) |

I've just realised that I've not enjoyed any Marvel film I've seen? They all fall into some combination of overblown, boring and mediocre.

I haven't seen any of the first 2 Iron Man films or The Incredible Hulk. Iron Man 3 was the most 'average' out of the ones I have seen so I'll go for one of the Iron Man films on that basis.

The Incredible Hulk, I found it boring. Mind you it was 7 years ago when I saw it, I'd probably enjoy it more now.

You should watch the 'Iron Man' films when you can. Well, the first one at least! I think you'd really enjoy it.Oh and CAN WE NOT target 'Thor 2' so early on, thanks! |

Never liked the original and RDJ annoys the shit out of me. Hope the Hulk stays in, I much prefer Ed Norton as Banner to Mark Ruffalo. |

Hulk has to go first. It's easily the worst, followed closely by the 1st Cap Am and Iron Man 2.
I love both Thor movies so hope they stay in for a bit. |

Avengers.
Cheap plastic invincible men who can't even be scratched smashing an enemy that SOMEHOW against ALL THE ODDS lasts more than 5 minutes against invincible creatures that take no damage. These invincible creatures then wail on each other for 15 minutes at a time, doing no damage of course, unless it's Robbie Downey Jr, their fave due to his box office revenue in Iron Man, who can knock teeth out from the invincible men, but these grow back anyway like sharks. Cheap wafer-thin plots that would blow away on a slight summer's breeze on flat land away from the coast that stops for 10/ 15 minutes a time due to some cheesy, explosion-ridden, dramaless (as they cannot be injured in anyway, except see above regarding their fave Iron Man) fight where the Avengers pound on the enemy and bully it until it barely escapes with its life or pound on each other, not making even a scratch. Age of Ultron to be even more specific as the worst offender of the lot. These Avenger plastic blocks of shit are worse even than the Hulk.
