Getting this in before anyone pipes up
A couple of the tracks have appeared in other forum contests before; we've let them in because they're different to the original tracks and are perhaps less known  *waits for the pitchforks* |

Well I could've gone a bit cheaper looking at some of these names! (Granted Lana Del Rey would probably be too far, everyone should check out the Oxford remix of Diet Mountain Dew though <3)

Good thing I remembered to get an entry in! Was in a mild panic when I woke up to get it in (thanks for accepting my ever so slightly late confirmation ) poor internet access this week didn't allow me to do as much searching as I'd have liked but my song is cool so I'm comfortable.
Uh, for myself, as there are a couple of names I recognise - if I do know the original, I'll judge if the remix improves it or is different enough for points evaluation. might have had an easier time of thinking of an entry if I'd allowed myself to be a little cheaper, as with others, I normally only end up listening to remixes when they're sent my way rather than me seeking them out, so at the least this contest will be educational |

I've just noticed this but scanning thru the entrants in the confirmations thread did Mattias not take part? Shame if so, I enjoy our ongoing ding-dong at the top of scoreboard.

I know quite a few of these! Looks like people struggled to find entries, which I have to say I'm surprised by!

I’ve just clicked the link and flicked through. It’s sacrilege!!!!!!! had the same thought! I've quite liked Seven Lions before but yikes, what have they done to my beauty (though perhaps it's just the new structure, maybe i'll get used to it idk) sorry whoever sent it |

Aw at us not hitting the 20 mark this time. I hope that's just because it was a surprisingly tough theme and we'll get back there again next time ~ I think we're missing 3 of the people who had entered every previous edition (BridgeCow, Mattias and TheSnake) </3 perhaps we might still get votes from people who didn't enter to have a chance of getting to 20 votes... (looking at coi again who I really thought would have made his debut this time!!)
Lew told me I'd know what his entry is and can confirm I do and it may already have my 12 xx This list actually looks much more inspired than I expected, I thought mine would stick out for a mile being more obscure than the rest but there's a decent enough field of inspired entries for me to conceal my identity within. Not expecting much of my entry anyway as I'm not really 100% super behind it myself (though I'm glad I did think of this as I do like it way more than what was my previous 'backup if I can find nothing better' lol). A couple of the tracks have appeared in other forum contests before; we've let them in because they're different to the original tracks and are perhaps less known  *waits for the pitchforks* I recognise 2 off the top of my head, one is different to the version in the other contest but the Detour song is the exact same version that was in BJSC -grabs pitchfork- (it's no big deal though, made barely any impact on BJSC to begin with so not begrudging it a second chance xx). |

PS I would have sent this if it was by less well-known artists, one of the best remixes I have heard in a long time (and perfect for Halloween x)
((arguable whether it really counts as a dance song anyway I guess but Hot Chip are a dance-y act sometimes!!1)) |

Hyped for this!
I loved 'Bloodless Y' in its contest so my expectations are extremely high with that one! |
