Keane have announced they have begun their 5th album and it will release some point this year.

Looking forward to their return, they still sounded really good on their Comic Relief performance. biggrin.gif

they've also announced summer festivals, they're playing in my hometown smile.gif

Quite excited by this as the last tom Chaplin was decent.

The Way I Feel is out now! Album is out September 20th

Posted by: Bjork 6th June 2019, 07:42 PM

oh perfect timing, seeing them live on Saturday

Posted by: slowdown73 7th June 2019, 05:45 PM

I like Keane and have a few of their albums. The new song treads familiar ground too!

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 9th June 2019, 01:17 PM

Been playing this loads, really solid return.

Posted by: Bjork 9th June 2019, 01:41 PM

not crazy about the new song, don't think it's up to their past standards, even the flop singles from Strangeland were better

saw them live yesterday and were ok, people loved them, especially the early singles, which are their best

The Way I Feel has got a great upbeat vibe

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 1st July 2019, 01:46 PM

Yeah I'm loving it!

Posted by: Voodoo 30th July 2019, 08:51 AM

Sounds like they were trying to create their own Mr. Brightside. mellow.gif

I hope they can achieve relative success with this album as they may be forgotten for most outside the core fanbase.
I feel they could perform in a similar style to the recent Kaiser Chiefs release and tank on week 2..

Posted by: coi 5th August 2019, 06:18 PM

I really hope they're still able to continue their impressive unbroken run of number one studio albums, but I think this will be the hardest one to achieve.

Posted by: pippa 5th August 2019, 06:23 PM

This will be their hardest to achieve but a 6th Number 1 would be greatly welcomed.

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 5th August 2019, 06:54 PM

Not a chance they'll get to #1 tbh, Liam Gallagher will definitely sell more.

Posted by: pippa 5th August 2019, 08:06 PM

That is the most likely outcome unless Keane completely surprise us.

Posted by: Bjork 5th August 2019, 08:29 PM

no change against Liam, zero really

Posted by: coi 8th August 2019, 12:22 PM

New single out today called Love Too Much!

Posted by: pippa 8th August 2019, 12:55 PM

Currently up to Number 70 on iTunes.
While it is most unlikely, i would hugely welcome Keane getting a Top 100 entry in the singles chart from this campaign.

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 8th August 2019, 07:49 PM

Absolutely love this!

Buzzing for the album, wouldn't have thought that a few months ago!

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 9th August 2019, 11:09 AM

I've always liked Keane and thiscserms like a great return.

Really solid album! A fantastic comeback from them - my fave tracks are Love Too Much, Stupid Things, The Way I Feel and Chase the Night Away.

Posted by: pippa 23rd September 2019, 01:30 PM

I aim to pick up a copy of this tomorrow.

Posted by: pippa 30th September 2019, 06:35 PM

Number 9 in the midweek information today, this is better than expected for week 2 of release.

Posted by: lewistgreen 24th October 2019, 07:52 PM

Single version of Stupid Things is out tomorrow

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 26th October 2019, 07:08 PM

Really like stupid things and back in the day this would have done well for them.

This album totally passed me by when it was released but I picked up a copy on vinyl last week and I’m obsessed! What a solid album from them - shame it hasn’t reached the sales success they have had previously especially as it’s such a good album.
