Apparently it's also the name of the album coming this fall, Gurfren's first English album since 2013's Loved Me Back To Life.

I've wanted to see Celine for years, but previous opportunities to do so didn't come along at the right time for me... not sure I can miss her again though, so bring on those 2020 UK dates!

Posted by: SKOB 6th April 2019, 08:53 AM

Hope this is proper world tour! Several acts tour months in the US & Canada and then have two gigs in the UK and call it a "world tour"

Posted by: Bjork 6th April 2019, 09:05 AM

album out in November
so long wait

Can’t wait to hear new material from Celine.

Posted by: pippa 15th April 2019, 07:53 PM

Wonderful to hear a new album is coming from Celine.
She always comes back with something strong to offer.

never would have expected Celine dion to do a carpool karaoke!!! <3

just watched! Celine amazing as usual

Posted by: Jonjo 21st May 2019, 05:54 PM

The Carpool was amazing wub.gif

Posted by: pippa 21st May 2019, 05:58 PM

Celine has character but it is often overlooked in her personality.

Posted by: Jay ☆ 21st May 2019, 10:29 PM

Celine is always hilarious! Loved that :')

Posted by: PAJ88 22nd May 2019, 01:42 AM

Was there a new song not yet released sung in that carpool karaoke?

I think it was Won’t Take It Lying Down.

I couldn’t find it on iTunes or Spotify.

Posted by: Bjork 22nd May 2019, 08:20 AM

yes an unreleased

Posted by: slowdown73 22nd May 2019, 10:50 PM

Ashes is an amazing song. I really hope it’s on the new album.

I’m going to see Celine @ Hyde Park so will hopefully get to hear this!

Posted by: Spiceboy 12th June 2019, 02:43 PM

I'm very tempted to book tickets to see Celine at Hyde Park, they are on offer on Groupon!

Posted by: Dane 17th June 2019, 01:46 AM

I’ve got tickets to see her in Hyde Park, can’t wait! Little bit disappointed with her support acts but oh well. Intrigued to see what her set list will be, hopefully she just sticks to classics as most people that will be going won’t be fans that follow her new music. Would love her to stick to the setlist she did in 2018. wub.gif

LOL. It's not "live" at all. The crowd looks dead, too.

I think the new song is awful. It sounds generic, dated & cheap.

Posted by: slowdown73 30th June 2019, 04:10 PM

I like the new song but it’s certainly not what I was expecting from Celine.

Posted by: slowdown73 6th July 2019, 09:22 AM

Anybody else see Celine at Hyde Park last night? She was amazing. Sang loads of her old hits and her new song ‘flying on my own’ and ‘ashes’.

Album pre-order now up on iTunes. Deluxe has 20 tracks!

Posted by: slowdown73 18th September 2019, 02:28 PM

Very excited about this album. There are 4 songs already available for the album and imperfections and lying down both sound amazing. I really Hope ashes is included as a bonus track!

Lying Down is incredible.

While it’s stunning in its current form I’m sure it’d work well as a dance remix.

I've never seen her in concert before, and this is seriously overdue... she was one of the first artists I ever heard and loved (I remember playing one of my mum's Celine cassettes when I was 7, in 1995, and loving it). 25 years after that and I'll finally see her live. heart.gif

Fully agreed. There is a bonus track called Seoul on the Japan version. I haven’t heard the album properly yet as my copy hasn’t arrived from Amazon but heard clips. Didn’t sound as strong as some of her stuff but need to hear it properly.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 16th November 2019, 06:11 PM

Love the album so far - a really solid return.

Posted by: Lomadz 16th November 2019, 07:51 PM

Will give this a listen at some point? Any pop in it or is it mostly ballads? What's the best song?

For The Lover I Lost is beautiful

OMG the deluxe has 20 tracks :DDDDDDDD

Loved seven songs and keeping them; Lovers Never Die, Lying Down, Courage, Imperfections, Change My Mind, The Chase and For the Lover That I Lost.

Posted by: Bjork 16th November 2019, 10:08 PM

the 4 songs we knew before the album are easily the best ones
too much filler

Posted by: SKOB 17th November 2019, 09:15 AM

Projected to debut at #1 in the US with 125k copies or so.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 17th November 2019, 05:25 PM

I think this is a strong album! The deluxe is long and some of the deluxe tracks are better than standard ones but it was a pretty solid listen for me.

Posted by: JosephStyles 17th November 2019, 05:42 PM

It's definitely too long, could've been condensed to a 16 track deluxe album I think? However a few filler songs aside, it's a very good album!! Lying Down remains my comfortable fave but plenty I'll return to heart.gif

Posted by: Bjork 17th November 2019, 05:53 PM

agree Lying Down is the best, this is the Sia/Guetta song right?

Posted by: slowdown73 17th November 2019, 07:05 PM

Well I’ve heard the album and I’m afraid I think it’s one of her weakest albums to date. First half is particularly poor. Lying down is a great song though and my highlight. There are a couple of other good tracks but quite a few forgettable bland tracks.

That’s pretty good it’s a shame it’ll be #2 here in UK. I bet it’ll outsell a good few #1 albums this year though and I can see her holding up well over Q4 maybe staying top 20 till Xmas chart?

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 17th November 2019, 09:13 PM

Lying Down is the best on the album but i do agree its no her best album and i was hoping for better. Great to see that its on track for US number 1. Top 3 in the UK will be a good start for the album, hopefully it can make gold.

Posted by: slowdown73 18th November 2019, 09:08 AM

I wonder why ashes wasn’t included. It’s an amazing song and better than anything on the new album so disappointed that they didn’t include it.

Posted by: Bjork 18th November 2019, 10:03 AM

agree that's a strange choice
maybe they couldn't? depends if the soundtrack was on a different label maybe

Posted by: pippa 18th November 2019, 03:18 PM

Ashes is better than the tracks on the album and it is disappointing it is not on the album, whatever the reason.

Posted by: pippa 18th November 2019, 05:39 PM

Celine is sandwiched inbetween 2 boybands in the midweek chart information released today.
Westlife are Number 1 and Take That Number 3.

Posted by: slowdown73 18th November 2019, 05:45 PM

No2 is a good position and I think it will outsell Westlife in the long run.

Posted by: pippa 18th November 2019, 07:41 PM

12k she is on at Number 2 and Westlife are on 53k.
Westlife will open with at least 40k ahead soi cant see Celine outselling them in the long run in the UK unless Westlifes sales completely crumble after this week.

It's a soundtrack single, that's likely why it wasn't included. Of course, some soundtrack singles end up featuring on artist albums, but it's not often really.

Having heard Flying on My Own in the summer...i was so pumped for this album.

I literally can only listen to Flying on My Own and Courage....the rest is very much off the mark for me.

Westlife will not sustain that amount every week though and likely to drop off considerably next week. Celine tends to hang around with her albums and if they promote the album well, it could have some longevity.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 19th November 2019, 02:03 AM

Celine hasn't had a top 2 album since 2002 so I think she is safe as I'd be surprised if the live take that album over takes her.

Posted by: Medellíam 19th November 2019, 06:36 AM

I'll be shocked if Celine manages to outsell Westlife. As Pippa said, Westlife already have a huge lead, they're likely to have more UK based promo over the coming month and both albums are likely to drop hard after Christmas. Don't know about Westlife but Celine hasn't exactly had glowing reviews for this album either.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 19th November 2019, 01:26 PM

I cant see celine selling anything more than 100k, that's good for celine. Westlife will prob sell close to 200k unless sales completely plummet for them.

Posted by: Jay ☆ 19th November 2019, 05:58 PM

Haven't got around to hearing the album yet, but I'm pleased to see her at midweek #2! wub.gif If it stays put, that'll make it her highest peaking album since A New Day Has Come from 2002, which reached #1.

It looks as though Celine will close the week out on 21k sales.
I think this is a positive result for Celine in 2019 and also her highest charting album in 17 years.

Posted by: Bjork 20th November 2019, 07:48 PM

it's a great result, wasn't expecting much more
hope she keeps the #2 and the awful Boe/Ball don't catch her

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 21st November 2019, 12:58 AM

Il be disappointed she loses the number 2.

Posted by: pippa 22nd November 2019, 06:59 PM

Celine has broken her 17 year drought and returned to the Top 2 in the album chart officially this week.

Posted by: slowdown73 22nd November 2019, 09:49 PM

Her album sales are quite poor for a no2 at this time of year.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 22nd November 2019, 09:51 PM

Happy for her to get that #2.

But sales wise I thought she’d do more. Love Me Back To Life sold way more in week one didn’t it despite peaking lower.

Posted by: Medellíam 23rd November 2019, 03:40 AM

She actually had UK promo near release week last time though, like X Factor which saw her peak at #14 with the lead single which was really impressive considering, plus she was on Jonathan Ross. Looks like it'll be a year until she's in the UK again according to her touring schedule, fingers crossed she'll be here earlier than that.

I did think she'd do more though. Radio 2's Hyde Park was a big gig and I'm sure the album was up to pre-order at that point. Hopefully it can sell decently over Christmas and make its way past Gold at least.

Posted by: WinterFreeze 23rd November 2019, 06:16 AM

Debuted at #2 in Australia.

I remember that X Factor slot! Round about the last year (or one of the last years) of that show where you actually got an impact from performing. I remember getting a few albums that week too. Didn’t ARTPOP block it from #1 and LM Salute album I think was released the same week too laugh.gif

I’m happy Celine managed a #2 debut though! I do think gold is possible as well. I’m going to give it another listen over the week as I’m at work it’ll help time pass by a bit quicker.

Record breaking Queen. yahoo.gif

Honestly though, with sparse streaming numbers and Christmas coming up I'm not surprised. I hope it can continue to sell in the long run. Maybe Black Friday will help it as it gets people out buying physical copies.

Posted by: Medellíam 3rd December 2019, 09:57 AM

Not that it makes it any better but Bon Jovi also dropped from #1 to outside the Top 100, although this wasn't it's second week. It dropped 1-43 initially and then re-entered at #1 a few months later as part of a "concert ticket redemption offer for the album", only to fall out the Top 100 again!

The Billboard 200 really is strange with its tour bundle thing.

This! The album has performed really well so far in the UK but she desperately needs some promo before her U.K. tour which is not until September 2020.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 29th December 2019, 11:39 PM

She usually doesn't do alot of promo so cant see that changing huh.gif

Posted by: pippa 3rd January 2020, 06:42 PM

After a steady UK chart run since its release the album suffered a big tumble this week to Number 49.
With no UK promotion on the horizon it may take some time for Celine to achieve a further Gold selling album.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 4th January 2020, 12:30 PM

I didn't think she would have such a big drop this week but with other albums selling cheaper it cost her positions. Is the album still full price everywhere.

Posted by: slowdown73 4th January 2020, 05:04 PM

The deluxe was £9.99 and £4.99 for standard in my local HMV. I think it’s going to drop out of the charts due to no promotion basically.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 6th January 2020, 02:31 AM

Ya it needs something to keep it in the charts, it should eventually go gold though.

Posted by: Medellíam 6th January 2020, 02:59 AM

Loved Me Back to Life dropped from the Top 15 to outside of the Top 40 after Christmas 2013, so the drop for Courage isn't anything out of the ordinary. Hopefully there will be more Radio 2 support as I can't see Celine being in the UK to promote until the tour starts.

Posted by: tommie 6th January 2020, 09:57 AM

Honestly, ~70k so far isn't horrific for Celine. It could sell Gold in a few months which would put her on par with people like Kylie.

I just think the days of multiplatinum is over for her.

Posted by: Bjork 6th January 2020, 10:04 AM

I don't think she'll get Gold :/

Posted by: pippa 6th January 2020, 05:11 PM

I doubt it to be honest. It will be too late by then. The tour isn’t till September and the album will be largely forgotten. They need a promotional strategy ASAP to avoid the momentum dropping off completely.

CELINE DION EUROPEAN COURAGE WORLD TOUR ANNOUNCES CANCELLATION OF REMAINING SHOWS IN 2023 AND 2024

With a sense of tremendous disappointment, Celine Dion’s Courage World Tour today announced the cancellation of all remaining dates currently on sale for 2023 and 2024. As the world has emerged from the pandemic, Celine has continued to be treated for a diagnosed medical condition that prevents her from performing. Celine is working hard on her recovery, but at this time is unable to successfully prepare for and perform the remainder of the tour, which was scheduled to run from August 26, 2023 in Amsterdam through October 4, 2023 in Helsinki; then continuing from March 6, 2024 in Prague through April 22, 2024 in London. We do have every hope that someday soon, Celine will be able to come to all of these cities in Europe to perform for her amazing fans, but that time simply is not now.

“I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again. I’m working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re 100%. It’s not fair to you to keep postponing the shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again. I want you all to know, I’m not giving up… and I can’t wait to see you again!” said Celine.

Celine had completed the first 52 dates of the Courage World Tour in North America before the pandemic emerged and paused the tour in March 2020. In early 2021, when the entertainment industry was still working under tight COVID restrictions, Celine filmed her first motion picture, Love Again, co- starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan. Since then, Celine has revealed that she has been diagnosed with a rare condition called Stiff Person’s Syndrome, which causes severe and persistent muscle spasms, and which has prevented her from performing. Celine’s medical team continues to evaluate and treat the condition.

Tickets purchased for the forty-two cancelled dates will be refunded via the original point of sale. For further ticket inquiries or options, ticketholders should reach out to their original point of purchase.

Poor Celine! sad.gif

There's no cure for Stiff Persons Syndrome. The symptoms can be managed to improve quality of life, but unfortunately I've thought for a while now that the likelihood of her reaching the point of being able to perform multiple shows over a period of months was never realistic... even if the thought of this was something for Celine to strive for.

I guess we can only wait and see, hopefully it is something she'll be able to do again.

Im not surprised by this and i really cant see Celine touring again, if she does i think she will scale it down as she will need to really look after her health, i really hope her health improves for her.
