Great! Maybe it’ll be the first time we see particular performances in HD?

Who watched Live at the BBC?
It was enjoyable - performances of every Spice Girls single apart from Mama and Let Love Lead the Way… plus we got each of the first solo singles (I Want You Back, When You’re Gone, Look at Me, What I Am, Out of Your Mind). |

Yeah it was good. 25 years though, where that did go?

^ Asking myself the same question so many times!
A few of the performances shown, I hadn’t seen them for years, maybe a couple I’d never seen before! |

Yes Jay. Really enjoyed it. So happy they’ve had a bit of recognition for this 25th anniversary outside of the girls label/social media. Tv exposure is always welcome.
The BBC special brought back memories of a simpler time before technology took over our lives and what I really loved was all the different TV/music shows we grew up with - TOTP, Live and Kicking, Noel’s House Party, Ozone, Smash Hits Awards (we were spoiled) ☺️ |

We were! I completely agree. Such a pity that there’s so few TV shows for performances these days!
The Poll Winners Party! 😍 How lucky that audience was to see Spice Girls perform at an arena in 1996. I was kind of surprised they chose the 2007 Strictly performance of 2 Become 1 because I’m pretty sure every other performance used were from during the promotion/release of the singles. But I suppose it was nice for a properly live performance to be used. Towards the end of the show I was worried they’d not have time to fit in Holler, but they did. Nice for Headlines to get some exposure again too. |

Yes it’s nice that all the singles get their time to shine and some of their solo hits too. Kinda sad that LLLTW didn’t get played.

I really enjoyed it, while I get why they played the first single from every girl I felt like some better choices could have been made especially for Mel B and Emma. I was also convinced they were going to end with the Olympics performance since that was broadcast on the BBC so was surprised they finished with Headlines.
If it were me I would have gone with these for solo girls: Melanie C - A Northern Star era performance - 99/00 or maybe the medley from the Take That musical show. Geri - An It's Raining Men performance - 01 Emma - A Free Me era performance (a Maybe one I guess) 2004 Victoria - This Groove or Let your head go performance 2003 Not really sure about Mel B as I want you back is obviously her most successful and high profile however I thought that performance was a bit meh It would have been nice to show the girls had careers beyond just 1996-2000 This post has been edited by spiceboy: 3rd October 2021, 09:43 AM |

Just had chance to watch the BBC special, just a gorgeous trip down memory lane and so well put together.
Headlines has grown on me so much over the years and it was a beautiful performance on Strictly looking back at it. |

Yes it’s nice that all the singles get their time to shine and some of their solo hits too. Kinda sad that LLLTW didn’t get played. If the show had been just that little bit longer we could've had that and Mama as both had a TOTP performance. Let Love also had a Lottery one if memory serves me right |
