Wildfire, the track that was tragically relegated to b-side status (and even worse, for one of their biggest career crushing singles) and later bonus track status, deserves its own appreciation thread. This bop would've easily entered the Top 10 had it been released after What About Us and the rest of the Living For The Weekend era might've played out very differently. Our final gift from the match made in heaven that was The Saturdays and The Alias, Wildfire will go down in history as the only Sats non-single to be featured on three releases AND performed on tour. This track could've done so much more.

The album track and "other" singles medley could so easily have been an amazing Hits medley for so many people.

I always look at 'View New Posts', so I thought this was a literal wildfire appreciation thread before I saw it was in The Saturdays Forum (which would be in poor taste because wildfires can kill people and destroy houses).

Living For The Weekend Era should have been:
30 Days (it can stay) What About Us Wildfire Not Giving Up (Released album week after?) Disco Love Re-release: 808 |

Disco Love Re-release: 808 Mostly agree with this, although I'd keep Not Giving Up after Disco Love (and maybe not, you know, wait six months between singles and kill all momentum). |

I enjoy it, but I'm unsure if I agree with some of you saying it should have been a single (I suppose it might have done vaguely better than 'Gentleman').
What they actually should have done is released 'Not Giving Up' instead of 'Gentleman' and let that be a top 5 follow-up to 'What About Us', and then they'd have had 'Disco Love' (unless that was literally recorded during the summer as a panic single?) I bet they'll all spend the rest of their lives regretting 'Gentleman' happened. |

Still appreciating this six years on.
I'd also like to add that I've attempted to expose several of my friends to the Sats over the years and this is the only song they seem to get into. I still think this would've been a hit. I think Wildfire would've been "cool" enough to connect with a wider audience than many of their other later singles. It's a little darker and edgier and not so pure pop. It would sound less out of place at a club or a party than a Not Giving Up or even a Disco Love. |

Same, my ex best friend really didn’t like The Sats but she loved Wildfire |

What About Us - Not Giving Up - Wildfire - Disco Love
Would be a killer single run to be honest. |

Well... yes! Does anyone else feel 30 Days was a little unnecessary? I mean, cute bop, but... for me it was their most "Meh" single. I'm a huge 30 Days fan. I think it will always be viewed as a weird release but I do think it could've done so much more with the right momentum and as a third or fourth single. |
