Why are those Live Lounge songs A-Listed?

Very bizarre of them to add those live lounge performances to the A-list, I don't really get the point and I doubt they'll keep them on there for that long.
Also quite strange of them not to add 'Rockstar' this week given how well it's doing and given how heavily they've supported him, they'll surely add it next week if it still looks like being #1.

Weird, So I guess it's a single. RFI, All goes wrong, if it's a single and for me it's a super great song, why to release it so close to LWYMMD? Like now would have been making more sense or even in 2-3 weeks. All goes wrong in this era so far.

Yeah, I echo that it's odd to playlist live lounge songs that'll get 3 weeks max, especially when it means kicking some songs off that probably had a little more life in them/ stopping newer songs from being added. They could just play the live lounges anyway.

To be fair they haven't kicked any songs off to make way for them, they've added them in addition to the usual 15 songs on the A-list. Plus they've added a healthy number of songs lower down!

Tbf they would be kicked off anyway 4 from A-list gone out and 4 have moved up

Great to see Bugzy Malone added, I have a feeling he could have a big breakthrough very soon.
'Memory Lane' is the most mainstream thing he's done (with the Wonderwall sample).

I'm so hugely disappointed they haven't gone for Tom Zanetti/Karen Harding, why haven't they? His last single was a big hit. 
Is it because Karen Harding is poison to Radio 1? I remember they did this with a Blonde single she featured on when both they and her had very recently had huge singles.

Well they playlisted her collab with Wilkinson so I wouldn't say she is poison

I don't get their dislike for Karen Harding considering they supported 'Say Something', but it isn't a song they ever play anymore either!

Interesting to see the Live Lounge performances being added to the main playlist - not sure if some of the younger listeners would remember (feel old saying that) but radio 1 used to quite regularly add big new albums to the C list and play tracks from them for 1/2 weeks. Radio 6 still do this a lot.
Good to see Bugzy Malone getting more support along with Tom Grennan!
