New Zealand secured their second World Cup win in a row with a nervy two-wicket win over a spirited Bangladesh in a thriller at The Oval.
India also won by six wickets thanks to a Rohat Sharma 122 not out century. |

A record third match of the World Cup was abandoned because of rain as Bangladesh's game against Sri Lanka was called off without a ball being bowled.
With persistent rain falling in Bristol, the match - due to start at 10:30 BST - was called off shortly before 14:00. Sri Lanka's game against Pakistan at Bristol on 7 June was also washed out. Only 7.3 overs were possible in the match between West Indies and South Africa at Southampton on Monday. The previous highest number of abandoned games in a World Cup was two, in 1992 and 2003. |

The rain is ruining this World Cup at the moment. I hope the weather improves soon.

India and New Zealand's World Cup match was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
Both teams were hoping to extend their 100% winning record in the competition, but regular showers and a wet outfield at Trent Bridge prevented any play. The abandonment is the fourth in this World Cup. |

England captain Eoin Morgan has hit 17 sixes in his innings of 148 off just 71 balls against Afghanistan. It's a world record for the most sixes hit by one batsman in a one day international. After a relatively slow start,England scored 397 for 6. They also broke the record for most sixes by a team in an ODI (25).
It's good that the weather seems to be improving now. It's looking like England,Australia,India and New Zealand will be the semi-finalists. One of the other six teams needs to put a run of wins together to catch up,Bangladesh seem to be the most likely to do that. Pakistan,West Indies and South Africa have all under performed. |

Quite remarkable from Eoin Morgan. Regarding the rain, what can you do about it? Unfortunately there is not much you can do.

England won by 150 runs over Afghanistan. Victory over Sri Lanka on Friday would put them on the brink of a semi-final.

Should be looking likely an Australia victory. |

Yesterday's match between South Africa and New Zealand was the best match so far with Kane Williamson scoring a six in the final over to win the match for NZ. He was caught by the wicketkeeper earlier on in his innings of 106 but the umpire didn't spot it and South Africa didn't use their review.

Sri Lanka beating England, yes it may be a surprise but it is the fourth World Cup in a row that they have beaten England.
