This still feels really recent to me! Doesn’t at all feel like five years since this!
I’ve always liked it for what it is. It doesn’t necessarily have a huge vocal moment what I tend to love from her but it’s joyous, fun, not necessarily to be taken seriously and I think a song like this probably really helped at her at the time of release when she was experiencing what she was experiencing. I probably prefer a chunk of the album tracks of the thank u, next era to the singles though but can definitely also see why she chose those tracks to be the singles (and they all become UK #1s so she chose well). |

I think my pre-Covid job situation feeling like a lifetime ago has a knock on effect for my perception of time towards this era, as I heavily associate the two I was obsessed with this song at the time but I'm not as fond of the trap sound now. I think 'ghostin' will be the most evergreen track from the album for me <3 |
