#SlayberryTop50!!! Chart Show!
With Cody Christian!

Week Ending: April 12, 2015
http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=176626

Last week was pretty hectic. And here's what happened:
1.) (7.) (7) Fifth Harmony & Kid Ink - Worth It *1 week @ #1*
2.) (1.) (5) Conor Maynard - Talking About *2 weeks @ #1*
3.) (2.) (6) Zedd & Selena Gomez - I Want You To Know *2 weeks @ #1*

Fifth Harmony smashed it this week, becoming a dark horse #1 contender among extremely strong March debuts. Will they take it again?
Also: four debuts coming up this week.

The battle begins.

50 ne.gif 01
OMI - "Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix)"
Non-album single
Chart Run: 50- (1 week)

So first up is a new entry from OMI, which is pretty much the next "Waves"/"Prayer In C". It has already topped the Australian charts, so we've already gotten a major English country giving this major support. It's a pretty soft track, and it's going off against Conor come release week. Good God.

49 ne.gif 01
Rihanna - "Bitch Better Have My Money"
2nd single, TBA
Chart Run: 49- (1 week)

Rihanna charts once more with her second single from her latest album, "Bitch Better Have My Money", and boy is this amazing. How fitting that this entered the "whore out" section of my playlist right when I go to Vegas. Also, her April Fools prank on Jimmy Kimmel really boosted my awareness for this song. It's slowly inching back onto US airplay, so expect this to move up a bit more soon.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 10 2015, 10:22 PM

48 ne.gif 01
Ed Sheeran & Rudimental - "Bloodstream"
4th single, X
Chart Run: 48- (1 week)

Next up is the song that flopped at getting to #1 even with some pretty nice pre-orders: Ed and Rudimental. Would he have gotten #1 without the remix? Who knows. The UK would have combined the copies anyway. Will this become huge in the US? Who knows.

47 arrow down.gif 33 12
Ne-Yo f/Juicy J - "She Knows"
Lead single, Non-Fiction
Chart Run: 46-34-28-18-9-7-9-11-16-25-33-47... (12 weeks)

The biggest dropper this week goes to Ne-Yo with a song that's miles better than his UK lead single, "Coming With You" (a.k.a. the second US single). However, this got knocked down by lack of pop support and the fact that I've started debuting 4-5 singles off my butt. So... I guess that's why it's where it is sad.gif

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 10 2015, 10:42 PM

46 arrow up.gif 47 02
Martin Garrix f/Usher - "Don't Look Down"
2nd single, +x
Chart Run: 47-46... (02 weeks)

I'd like to say that Martin Garrix is getting more situated with his new sound, and it's pretty banging. So much that it can make Usher redeem himself from the annoying monstrosity that is "I Don't Mind" sick2.gif Usher's vocals blend nicely with this, and Martin's production is spot-on (then again, when isn't it?). Now that this is getting some radio support, Martin should be well on his way to a second US hit cheer.gif

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 10 2015, 10:55 PM

45 arrow up.gif 46 03
Fall Out Boy - "Uma Thurman"
2nd single, American Beauty/American Psycho
Chart Run: 49-46-45... (03 weeks)

Current US Alternative single "Uma Thurman" remains in the bottom 10 positions this week, being slaughtered by the amount of freshness within this chart. Seeing her name keeps reminding me about how I need to catch up on The Slap oops.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 10 2015, 11:11 PM

44 arrow down.gif 36 20
Mark Ronson f/Bruno Mars - "Uptown Funk"
Lead single, Uptown Special
Chart Run: 45-32-9-1-1-2-1-1-2-4-6-10-14-14-18-19-22-30-36-44... (20 weeks)

SUCH A GOOD SONG. This song is on its way to smashing the record on most weeks at #1 on Billboard (which probably won't happen because of Wiz Khalifa), but its longevity is pretty remarkable. Still relevant within the country due to massive performances and the fact that this is Bruno Mars. Too bad that it means Mark Ronson might become a one-hit wonder oops.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 10 2015, 11:27 PM

43 arrow down.gif 42 04
Oliver Heldens - "Melody"
Non-album single
Chart Run: 49-47-42-43... (04 weeks)

This is three things: one of the best from Oliver Heldens, a song by him that's not named after an animal, and an "Adagio For Strings"-esque house song with a seriously trippy video. It's what I wanna do on my spring break. It hasn't outpeaked "Koala" yet oops.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 10 2015, 11:51 PM

42 arrow down.gif 35 14
Fifth Harmony - "Sledgehammer"
2nd single, Reflection
Chart Run: 48-37-26-22-17-14-6-9-13-17-21-28-35-42... (14 weeks)

The one giant song that really sparked up due to Cody Christian getting on Teen Wolf. Well that and "Worth It". Anyway, this was pretty iconic for lasting so long with the general public in the US, especially with radio airplay. It stil flopped oops. BUT LAUREN LOOKS SO GOOD IN THIS wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif

YAAAAAS LAUREN YOU LOOK SO GOOD wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif

41 arrow up.gif 44 02
Jess Glynne - "Hold My Hand"
2nd single, TBA
Chart Run: 44-41... (02 weeks)

The current UK #1 is just shy of top 40 this week, and you'll get to see what blocked it later on. Anyway, this is an amazing breakthrough for Jess, getting the "Rather Be" singer her first #1 as a solo artist, and possibly aiming to smash in the US (and possibly stripping her of her one-hit wonder status there).

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 11 2015, 01:28 AM

Recap:

41.) (44.) (2) Jess Glynne - Hold My Hand
42.) (35.) (14) Fifth Harmony - Sledgehammer
43.) (42.) (4) Oliver Heldens - Melody
44.) (36.) (20) Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk *4 weeks @ #1*
45.) (46.) (3) Fall Out Boy - Uma Thurman
46.) (47.) (2) Martin Garrix & Usher - Don't Look Down
47.) (33.) (12) Ne-Yo & Juicy J - She Knows
48.) NEW (1) Ed Sheeran & Rudimental - Bloodstream
49.) NEW (1) Rihanna - Bitch Better Have My Money
50.) NEW (1) OMI - Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Radio Edit)

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 11 2015, 01:41 AM

40 :new: 01
Hilary Duff - "Sparks"
3rd Single, TBA
Chart Run: 40... (01 week)

Hilary scores the highest debut this week, and this is the second week in a row that the highest debut comes in at #40. Rightfully so because this sounds like it comes straight out of Dignity, which is what we as Hilary stans have been waiting for.

39 arrow up.gif 48 02
Brielle - "Catch A Star For You"
Lead Single, TBA
Chart Run: 48-39... (02 weeks)

38 arrow up.gif 39 05
Iggy Azalea f/Jennifer Hudson - "Trouble"
7th Single, The New Classic/Reclassified
Chart Run: 50-45-39-39-38... (05 weeks)

Okay, gotta say this: the single cover actually looks pretty cool. The "Trouble" video is what the "Change Your Life" video should have probably been (despite it being fab as f*ck). J-Hudd's lipstick color is EVERYTHING. J-Hudd is EVERYTHING.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 11 2015, 02:56 AM

37 arrow up.gif 38 03
Clean Bandit - "Stronger"
8th Single, New Eyes
Chart Run: 40-38-37... (03 weeks)

Up next is the Clean Bandit song featuring the lead singer for Years & Years, but then re-recorded to feature vocals from Unique Wade Adams. Either way, that re-recorded version is giving me LIFE.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 11 2015, 03:10 AM

36 arrow up.gif 41 04
Shaggy f/Mohombi, Faydee & Costi - "I Need Your Love"
Non-album Single
Chart Run: 50-48-41-36... (04 weeks)

So earlier this year, I was actually reminded that Shaggy still exists. Wow. Anyway, here's the single by him that has managed to crack the US top 40 airplay charts, ending a drought of his songs spanning up to 12/13 years! Crazy. Also the first for the other three as well.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 11 2015, 03:19 AM

35 arrow down.gif 27 14
AronChupa - "I'm An Albatraoz"
Non-album Single
Chart Run: 23-16-15-12-10-7-5-5-10-13-17-21-27-35... (14 weeks)

This was part of the large song debut influx that came about during the beginning of the year, and this was also one of the best-performing ones, "Time Of Our Lives", "Up" and "Sledgehammer" also doing the best with it. This was a song that I was partially against because I thought this was gonna become another deep house song (which I thought was overused by the fall of last year), but giving this a chance, it became such an instant hit for me.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 11 2015, 03:38 AM

34 arrow down.gif 24 10
Imagine Dragons - "I Bet My Life"
Lead Single, Smoke + Mirrors
Chart Run: 42-39-32-31-33-27-28-26-24-34... (14 weeks)

Up next, dropping 10 spots is Imagine Dragons with "I Bet My Life". They have really redeemed themselves from the pukefest that is "Demons" and the borefest that is "On Top Of The World". This sounds like the latter but better. Even more appealing is the fact that Dane DeHaan is in this video. I still think Dylan Sprayberry is in this video.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 11 2015, 03:43 AM

33 arrow up.gif 45 02
Krewella - "Somewhere To Run"
Non-album Single
Chart Run: 45-33... (02 weeks)

Getting greatest gainer honors this week are the comeback queens themselves, Krewella! The Yousaf sisters are back with a vengeance and here to prove their naysayers wrong after a dirty split with former third member Rain Man. This was pretty much all the difference. It's in your face, it's just as hard-hitting as "Alive", and it's powerful. Ladies, we've missed you.

32 arrow left.gif 32 05
DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge - "You Know You Like It"
Non-album Single
Chart Run: 49-39-33-32-32... (05 weeks)

So personal story: I was sorta into the original version after it became a free single on iTunes because, you know, I like paying attention to things that I got with a budget. I like saving money tbh. Sadly, it was rampaged by the influx of summer songs that I was listening back in '13. Then this remix came and it started impacting radio, and I was a bit shocked. Now I kinda like this a lot more than I should.

31 arrow up.gif 40 02
David Gueta f/Nicki Minaj & Afrojack - "Hey Mama"
6th Single, Listen
Chart Run: 40-31... (02 weeks)

This was, for me, the standout single-turned-guilty pleasure for me with this album, mainly because it found a bunch of opposition. This becoming a single changed that, I believe. Not only does Nicki slay in her verses, but so does Bebe Rexha in delivering such a jungle-like atmosphere. It's absolutely brilliant.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 11 2015, 04:13 AM

Recap:

31.) (40.) (2) David Guetta & Afrojack w/Nicki Minaj - Hey Mama
32.) (32.) (5) DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge - You Know You Like It
33.) (45.) (2) Krewella - Somewhere To Run
34.) (24.) (10) Imagine Dragons - I Bet My Life

Flashback Track #1:

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 11 2015, 04:24 AM

30 arrow up.gif 34 03
Meghan Trainor - "Dear Future Husband"
3rd Single, Title
Chart Run: 38-34-30... (03 weeks)

From a standout in her EP to a single in her actual album. I called that sh*t.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 11 2015, 04:56 AM

29 arrow left.gif 29 06
LunchMoney Lewis - "Bills"
Non-album Single
Chart Run: 49-43-33-32-29-29... (06 weeks)

This was actually a surprise for me. I never knew a song like this would be so damn catchy, yet so fresh and innovating. It kinda sounds like something that would be in a cartoon. And I kinda like that aspect.

*files under guilty pleasure*

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 11 2015, 05:01 AM

28 arrow up.gif 31 03
Galantis - "Runaway (U & I)"
Non-album Single
Chart Run: 41-31-28... (03 weeks)

This is, no doubt, a sure fire smash. It's as euphoric as some of the other EDM big shots yet it doesn't stay too generic. The duo's style is incredible: a touch of hard-hitting drops and bass with the soft melodies existent within this song.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 11 2015, 05:40 AM

27 arrow down.gif 21 09
Madonna - "Living For Love""
Lead Single, Rebel Heart
Chart Run: 28-21-13-11-8-9-11-21-27... (09 weeks)

Well, we all know that Madonna pretty much fell on her butt during the BRITs after she was dragged by her cape and sent flying. She can make even a fall iconic. That's how powerful this woman is. But enough about her: while this song didn't gain the longevity most people think it deserved, it surely pleased us when she performed it whenever she did.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 11 2015, 05:47 AM

26 arrow down.gif 22 19
Calvin Harris f/HAIM - "Pray To God
4th Single, Motion
Chart Run: 3-3-6-5-6-6-4-5-5-1-1-2-4-6-9-11-17-22-26... (19 weeks)

Pretty impressive chart run. This song first charted when I believed that it was gaining some attention in the US, due to it getting added in my local stations' playlists. They went with "Outside" first, which was why this lingered outside the top 5 for a few weeks, but then the video came and sent the song shooting up to #1. Right when it has became tiring to keep this song so high up, it became the next US single. Where this will take it, I do not know yet.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 11 2015, 05:54 AM

25 arrow down.gif 23 22
Lilly Wood & the Prick f/Robin Schulz - "Prayer In C"
2nd Single, Prayer
Chart Run: 45-39-36-31-14-9-8-4-4-3-1-1-3-5-7-10-12-16-18-20-23-25... (22 weeks)

From one song about prayer to another. And this one stuck around longer than the previous song! This was also a UK #1 that somehow made a late transfer to the US, but I wasn't too concerned about that. This is the second time a Robin Schulz track has mesmerized me as much as "Waves" did. I wonder why he didn't bother releasing a third single from that album to the UK and US...

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 11 2015, 06:01 AM

Chart Contender:

Tinashe - "All Hands On Deck"
3rd single, Aquarius

This new and hot track by Tinashe is one of three of this week's chart contenders of the week. When it comes to songs that are absolutely hard-hitting and dance-worthy, she's your girl. And boy is she good at what she does best. Will this chart? Will it go high? We'll see.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 11 2015, 06:14 AM

24 arrow up.gif 28 05
Years & Years - "King"
2nd Single, Communion
Chart Run: 44-35-31-28-24... (05 weeks)

From one UK #1 to another. It just seems like we're playing a game of Chain Reaction here. Anyway, this is the trio's first entry into the chart, let alone their first top 30. This is also starting to take off in the US, with a San Diego station on board. Guess I know which one I'll be tuning in for this song. tongue.gif

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 11 2015, 06:21 AM

23 arrow up.gif 26 23
Taylor Swift - "Blank Space"
2nd Single, 1989
Chart Run: 34-2-1-1-1-1-2-2-3-2-2-4-6-7-9-11-15-20-22-23-24-26-23... (23 weeks)

Since senior year, I've always thought that Taylor Swift has spoken to me at a spiritual level. It's like she got me. This song was pretty much the bulk of my high school career. And that was the most bad-ass part of loving this song. There is that guy I had a rivalry with and it did seem like I wanted to kill him at times. But y'know, every page always has a blank space. It's up to you whether or not to sign your life away.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 11 2015, 06:37 AM

22 arrow up.gif 25 07
Charli XCX f/Rita Ora - "Doing It"
3rd Single, Sucker
Chart Run: 48-45-40-30-29-25-22... (07 weeks)

Charli XCX is absolutely brilliant. She explained in a radio spot for Pepsi that this song was supposed to bring a euphoric 80's summer sound, almost like The Breakfast Club meets Clueless. Rita is like the seasoning to this already amazing track, tbh.

Posted by: Cody Slayberry Apr 11 2015, 06:58 AM

21 arrow up.gif 30 06
Walk The Moon - "Shut Up And Dance"
Lead Single, Talking Is Hard
Chart Run: 50-48-43-35-30-21... (07 weeks)

Now this was a surprise. I never thought I'd be getting into this song when it was first released, but I thought, "Why not buy it as a free single and wait until it actually clicks with me?" It eventually did when I kept hearing it on the radio. Such a banger, it is.

Tori Kelly - "Nobody Love"
Non-album Single
Chart Run: 49-36-36-25-25-18-18-20... (08 weeks)

Many people on Buzzjack know Tori Kelly as the vocalist on Professor Green's "Lullaby". Now, she's got her own single and a lot of spunk to prove it. It's a pretty nice song and the production kinda reminds me of "Problem".

Alesso f/Roy English - "Cool"
4th Single, Forever
Chart Run: 43-37-33-31-27-19-19... (07 weeks)

Well, I just realized that Alesso has already announced his album, so I may have to end up changing my Best & Worst Of 2014 thread as well oops tongue.gif Anyway, this is a pretty cool song with a pretty cool Kylie sample.

18 arrow down.gif 14 09
Nicki Minaj f/Drake & Lil Wayne - "Truffle Butter"
5th Single, The Pinkprint
Chart Run: 48-37-29-24-20-14-12-14-18... (09 weeks)

A shock single for the album is the #18 song this week. This somehow got an exorbitant amount of airplay after "Bed Of Lies" barely received a push in the US. It also entered the top 10 in US Rhythmic airplay at around the same time "Only" reached the top 5. This won out. Not surprised though: the song is beyond catchy.

17 arrow up.gif 20 04
Cash Cash - "Surrender"
Non-album single
Chart Run: 44-34-20-17... (04 weeks)

Y'know, for four weeks, its chart run is rather impressive. The trio landed themselves their third charter last month, and it only took them three weeks for this to out peak "Take Me Home". That just proves that the US is mishandling them unlike what they're doing in other countries.

Ellie Goulding - "Love Me Like You Do"
Soundtrack single, Fifty Shades Of Grey
Chart Run: 48-31-23-14-3-1-3-8-10-13-14-15-16... (04 weeks)

This was obviously shaping up to become Ellie's biggest hit yet. It obviously was in the UK. Will she transcend her previous record in the US? Who knows. Keep in mind she did this with a soundtrack song. Now, Fifty Shades was a GIANT movie. One other song from the soundtrack will appear later. Ellie... KILLED IT with this song.

Nick Jonas - "Chains"
2nd single, Nick Jonas
Chart Run: 46-44-34-27-19-17-15... (07 weeks)

I'M IN LOVE WITH HIS ALBUM. I had always thought that his team was going to return to this single when he first released "Jealous", and because that became a huge hit they decided to release this. My theory still holds true. This song is pretty hard-hitting and kinda reminds me of a Bastille song.

Posted by: Josh. Apr 11 2015, 08:46 AM

Hi Cody, don't have time to comment properly this week (hence why my chart is only up in my archive and I will do that for a few more weeks too) but let me just say it's lovely seeing your commentary and the reasons you love songs, I agree with a lot of itl It's also nice seeeing actual chart runs for you, make that permanent thing pls, they're glorious!

First off, it had a little bit of extra chart run room due to it charting as a cherry-pick from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, despite some duds like the extremel boring "Atlas" and the utterly typical "We Remain". Second off, PRAISE MADDIE. If this video wasn't released with such controversy, it probably wouldn't have been on my chart right now. Hey, same peak at the UK!

Next up is another contender from the urban-ish side:

Chart Contender:
Fetty Wap - "Trap Queen"

Urban has become so IN with me these days! This made an impressive journey from guilty pleasure to new addition to one of my most played go-to tracks that have not made my chart yet. Must say, with the quality hip-hop people have been producing, the genre may just get a bit of the respect they deserve.

Ryn Weaver - "OctaHate"
Lead single, The Fool
Chart Run: 41-29-22-16-13... (05 weeks)

Just like "Shut Up And Dance", I was a bit resistant to checking this song out, with my main concern being that it wasn't going to be on iTunes. At least it did now. Anyway, she's about to release The Fool later on this year, but hey, a little bit of pre-summer promo never hurt nobody. It was so different from all the other songs released this ear: it was more avant-grade.

The Weeknd - "Earned It"
Soundtrack single, Fifty Shades Of Grey
Chart Run: 45-30-28-24-24-16-13-12... (08 weeks)

The second of the soundtrack songs from Fifty Shades Of Grey as well as the second Weeknd song comes on at #12. It's the sultry R&B/soul type of songs that become his identity, and I think that's what made this song pop out so much. Right now, the song is aiming for #1 in US pop airplay, so we'll see if it gets there.

Tove Lo - "Talking Body"
3rd single, Queen Of The Clouds
Chart Run: 15-3-3-2-2-3-2-5-6-8-9-9-11... (13 weeks)

I have been saying this since the album was released: this is the best song she's ever put her name into. It's upbeat, it's fun, and more importantly, it's HOT. I fell in love with this when I first listened to the album, and I had been waiting anxiously for it to become a single. Y'all can tell just from that chart run what happened when it finally did. This picking up on US radio should give this song some serious longevity.

Top 10 next! Any predictions?

Taylor Swift - "Style"
3rd single, 1989
Chart Run: 38-18-8-4-4-6-7-5-5-6-8-10... (12 weeks)

Just about anything from that album is perfection, but this was one of the true standouts of 1989. It kinda sounded like a country version of a mix between "Jealous" and "Do What U Want" in the production, and tbh this is one of the most country songs on the album - being that it sounds like it could come out of her last three albums. Taylor looks beautiful in the video, the effects are trippy, and the aesthetics are spot-on.

Natalie La Rose f/Jeremih - "Somebody"
Lead single, TBA
Chart Run: 49-40-37-28-27-22-21-19-15-10-9... (11 weeks)

Natalie ha Rose. *.* I am probably one of the only people on this forum who didn't discover this song through BJSC but through other means - US radio. That phrase has been coming up a lot lately - shall we play a drinking game? I kid. But this song is a party-starter. Now it's gotten so big, even people saying her name is ikonek in a sense! Jason DeRulo teas ohmy.gif Also, Jeremih, I somewhat forgive you for "Don't Tell Em".

Flo Rida f/Sage The Gemini & Lookas - "GDFR"
Lead single, My House EP
Chart Run: 47-40-38-35-30-23-12-8-7-8... (10 weeks)

This is probably the best Flo Rida has done in AGES and it's SEVERELY underrated here in BuzzJack. I don't understand. Anyway, I first heard this song back in August, and this didn't get a pop push until January. So that took a long time to grow on me. I think it was on my reserve playlist for a few months before I actually began to chart it (and subsequently whore it out). But yeah, a bunch of people here need to re-listen to this, because I don't get the hate.

Ariana Grande - "One Last Time"
5th single, My Everything
Chart Run: 29-10-8-4-4-4-4-5-7... (9 weeks)

Liam will probably be happy at this doing so well. However, releasing near the same time as Conor, Carly and Zedd really hurt the song's performance, as flawless as the song actually is. cry.gif The video was pretty simplistic and gave me The Fray teas, especially with the meteor scene. I still think this will be a pretty big song, though.

Taylor Swift - "New Romantics"

Chart Run: 39-26-20-13-22-6... (9 weeks)

Audio Here:
http://www.vidostream.com/music/listenone/6114/New-Romantics/

This will probably be the first EVER jameela.jpg song that does not have a valid YouTube or VEVO link that has peaked this high (unless I decide to go back to the other promo singles lol). This song is fun and high-spirited, just like my high school career. You can tell that Taylor is a brilliant lyricist with this.

Conor Maynard - "Talking About"
2nd single, TBA
Chart Run: 1-3-2-1-2-5... (6 weeks)

*insert something about stanning for him and "YAAAAAS CONOR YOU LOOK SO GOOD" wub.gif wub.gif cheer.gif cheer.gif* As you can tell, Conor has had an amazing track record in my chart, with him logging in two more weeks at the #1 spot for him with this song, let alone his first #1 debut. As much as I want his song to go to #1, I hope it does well to prove the naysayers that Conor is back and can still make a splash on the charts.

Contender #3:
Wiz Khalifa f/Charlie Puth - "See You Again"

The last of the three contenders for next week is probably one of the most emotional songs of the entire year. Paul Walker's death left a hole in the Fast & Furious saga, and the most recent film was dedicated to his work in the franchise. This is one of the songs from said soundtrack.

Carly Rae Jepsen - "I Really Like You"
Lead single, E•MO•TION
Chart Run: 2-2-1-3-4-4... (06 weeks)

Up next is a former #1 - the 50th #1 of the chart, "I Really Like You". It's a fun and light track for Carly and I'm so relieved that she's returned to the spotlight. This seems poised to become a huge UK #1, so to you guys, I say, "Lucky!"

3 arrow up.gif 6 06
Deorro f/Chris Brown - "Five More Hours"
Non-album Single
Chart Run: 29-7-6-5-6-3... (06 weeks)

The highest of the songs that lasted exactly 6 weeks on the chart is here: I first heard this version after looking up Deorro following his random cameo on Teen Wolf. This guy is crazy talented. I first heard this song as the vocal version with DyCy. Now it's being reworked for the pop audience, and this is the one track that has somehow worked as a rework.

So... Zedd vs. Fifth Harmony! Who will take the top?

Zedd f/Selena Gomez - "I Want You To Know"
Lead Single, True Colors
Chart Run: 1-3-1-3-2-3-2... (07 weeks)

Everyone knows I love Zedd. We share the same birthday. He's my spirit animal. And all I want for him is to be happy. And I'm hearing that he and Selena split?! PLEASE TELL ME IT ISN'T TRUE.

Fifth Harmony f/Kid Ink - "Worth It"
3rd Single, Reflection
Chart Run: 27-20-15-12-7-7-1-1... (08 weeks)

The #1 song for the second week goes to: Fifth Harmony! They recently received their first EVER #1 jameela.jpg last year, and they do it again this week biggrin.gif OBSESSED WITH THIS.

Cheerleader ... I already have an overdose of that track, been number 1 and on the radio all the time the past 4-5 monts. Decent poptrack, better than the majority of popreleases these days imo.

Ello Lewis!
"One Last Time": Weakest single yes, but still flawless in a way, wish she would release "Hands On Me" already
"Truffle Butter": It's already peaked tho
QUOTE(PopDroid @ Apr 11 2015, 03:50 PM) *
Cheerleader ... I already have an overdose of that track, been number 1 and on the radio all the time the past 4-5 monts. Decent poptrack, better than the majority of popreleases these days imo.
Hi PopDroid!
"Cheerleader": Probably won't make #1 in the UK tho

2.) (2.) (2) Madeon - Adventure
3.) (3.) (4) Marina & the Diamonds - Froot
4.) (4.) (2) The Prodigy - The Day Is My Enemy
5.) (5.) (5) Madonna - Rebel Heart
6.) (6.) (7) Taylor Swift - 1989
7.) (9.) (4) Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp A Butterfly

9.) (7.) (4) Charli XCX - Sucker
10.) (10.) (7) Fifth Harmony - Reflection

Droppers:
OUT (8.) (1) Ludacris - Ludaversal

Pretty boring week compared to last week's album upheaval as Armin van Buuren takes #1 for a second week. Madeon almost made it though! The top 6 stay stagnant while Charli and Kendrick switch places and Flo Rida's EP My House debuts.

New Releases:
Shawn Mendes - Handwritten
