http://www.breatheheavy.com/camila-cabellos-new-single-reportedly-drops-may-5/
seen quite a few other stuff on the internet as well that Camila is releasing on May 5th!
Really hyped for this if true! <3
READY.
It's been confirmed that the first solo single from former Fifth Harmony star Camilla Cabello will be released this Friday 19th May. There has been no title confirmed as of yet, but the song is set to be influenced heavily by Cuban and Latin music.
Can't wait for this 😍
I hope I like it more than Bad Things.
xx
Apparently called Crying In The Club! http://www.josepvinaixa.com/blog/camila-cabello-crying-in-the-club/
Omg that title gives me Green Light teas, perched *.*
It's indeed called "Crying In the Club". The song impacts US pop radio next week.
READY FOR THIS.
Now, please just deliver! I kinda want it to be one of those dancefloor tearjerkers. Like 'With Every Heartbeat'/'Dancing On My Own'!
My gut tells me this'll be very Marian Hill meets Lorde, a kind of moody r&b pop track with piano's. Regardless I'm excited.
Very very very hyped
I love the artwork!
oh wow- this is shaping up to have the potential to be amazing!
the trailer has me properly hyped!
WRITTEN BY BENNY BLACNO AND SIA THIS IS GOING TO DECIMATE
This is kinda disappointing. Selena's is better. This sounds like a mash up of 4 Sia songs. Given Camila has such a distinctive tone, I find it odd she is doing Sia-isms throughout the song, I feel like more effort should have been made to give this its own stamp.
Camila sounds like Sia and I think the latter is doing background vocals. Also, I'm not sure if the sample of "Genie In A Bottle" is good or not though.
Well this is incredibly disappointing :')
It's not good for her to basically sound like a standard Sia song for her solo debut. It might do something but I hope it doesn't because it's lazy af.
Also the Genie In The Bottle sample
It feels like she's desperate for a hit It's a bit of a banger but she's really emulating Sia's voice which is silly as she has such a distinctive voice herself.
"You think dat you jasajd haghgujd"
EDIT: with more listens this is a banger idc
This is amazing.
Maybe I was pre-warned via your guys comparisons or something but I was expecting it to be a literal direct copy cat of Sia, and although there are certainly some moments in the song, it's nowhere near as much as I feared!
As a debut, this will work perfectly fine, imo. It sounds like it'll be one of those big number 4 hits.
It does make me laugh that she had that big Insta speech about how personal and lethargic this album is and why it is called The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving. and then the first single isn't even written by her and she is literally doing an exact vocal replication of Sia which sounds nothing like her normal voice.
What is the point in leaving the group to release a single this devoid of any individual identity?
I guess it is quite nice but it's a shame it is basically devoid of personality and it sounds nothing like her. I was hoping for something a bit more exciting from her debut as I was expecting her to explode immediately onto the scene as a solo artist whereas this is a bit limp (but still nice). I like the Genie in a Bottle sample though even if it is completely random :')
I can imagine a bit of both, I think she clearly couldn't wait to be out of the group and that probably showed to them, she was only putting up with them until she could make her solo break, but the others also seemed a bit cliquey against Camila. I can see it being a mutual thing where neither side tried to remedy it and it all got way out of hand
It sounds BIG
On first listen she really sounds like Sia, but that's not a bad thing hey? I love it a lot!!!
Should be a big hit, it's incredible.
Can't get over this
The 'hey hey' ksmssksn
Where are you all hearing this??
Is Camila releasing over here... orrrrrr...?
Cannot find it on Spotify anywhere! Is it having one of those radio premiere things? I thought it was released in Australia, hence why we heard it via josephvixna or whatever that site's called So I assumed we'd get it at midnight lmao.
Josepvinaixa said it "leaked" via Tidal but idg how, I think I might be supposed to be out at 5am our time/midnight US and that's when we get it.
This is quite good innit.
I'm liking it.
I think the Sia influence is definitely prominent especially in the "thousand fires" lyric.
I was SCREAMING at the Genie In A Bottle sample but overall it was pretty good. Can't help but think that it's missing G-Eazy though...
Awful quality here but better than I expected from her!
Definitely very Sia and I was hoping she'd come out with something more distinctive but I'm loving it regardless. I actually love the Genie sample, I think it works so well. Seriously no idea what she's even saying at the end of the first line though, that diction :')
You think, that you dawihlaudih
Seriously, this is incred & I'm LOVING it. It's a Sia clone but it still feels like Camilla for me, I really hope this is a huge hit.
the intro is even v 'the greatest'...i don't get how something this obvious can pass through...i actually would love the full blown sia version!
The first song is so much better.
The first song does sound fab, and more her. I am LOVING this song though even if it just feels like the obvious first hit to set up her album as well as possible The video is a bit boring but fits the song quite well I suppose.
It's a great song* but her voice is SO, SO, SO, ANNOYING.
*on first listen in HQ.
Obsessed with this, it is quite Sia but it's good Sia so I love it.
Could they only afford one verse and a chorus from Sia?
I really like it but it's literally the same verse and chorus looped x3!
People like this??? V. repetitive, just like Perfect Ilusion - 'YOU WERE SO PPEEEERFEEEEEECT, PERFECT ILLUSSSSSSIOOOOOON'.
Amma go listen to Genie, much better.
She has another song coming Monday...
The video is fantastic! The way it transitions from 'I Have Questions' to 'Crying In The Club' is so brilliant!
'I Have Questions' is great too! Feels so much more like what she should be doing, but I don't mind 'Crying In The Club' so I'm not too bothered that this is her debut. I understand the criticisms that she left to go solo and does something so faceless. But this is such a strong song, that I don't think it really matters in all honesty (well not to me at least )
Yeah I don't care if she sounds like herself, Sia, Janis Joplin or Julie Andrews, it's a bop and a massive pop song which I am loving. As I said I think this is the safe solid hit to get her career kicked off, then she'll have stuff that sounds more like her. Not that she'll be doing thrash metal or jazz fusion or anything like that on the album, I expect it'll still be pretty safe pop but like if you don't get a hit with a Sia clone, you probably won't get one
I am actually digging this
This is already leagues ahead of any Fifth Harmony output.
This is grown one me massively the more I play it really liking it now . It's literally the love child of 'Cheap Thrills' and 'Shape Of You' though !
I like it a lot more than I thought I would, but to her discredit it's probably because it sounds like she's just singing the same version that Sia likely provided on demo. Considering that Camila co-wrote on this it really just sounds like a Sia track through and through.
'I Have Questions' is coming tomorrow!
YAS can't wait to hear it in full
I'm bored of this already
Incredible pop song!
I was really impressed with her first performance of this on the BBMAs!
Just watched her performance and oh my LORD. Sounds absolutely HUGE when being performed.
Those extra drums 😍
She's such a star.
Yeah the live performance was brilliant!
Loving both this and 'I Have Questions' a lot right now!
Loving this. Looking forward to seeing what she brings to her BGT performance.
name has me crying lol
Am I alright to say I'm....erm....liking this? I was all ready to be bored of it but it's catchy and really reminds me of Eurovision!
i actually love this but would much prefer it if it were a sia lead single, it has no camilla identity!!
such a good sample as well!
she's a total star as well i hope it works out for her
I hate the way she says "ain't true"... "ay choo"
Performed on Jimmy Fallon last night. Turned the performance off midway through due to classic Cabello doing the rounds of vocal gymnastics
Her iHeart performance was super good! Made me like the song again! Great to see this go top 20 in the UK!
