This is kind of blowing up pretty quickly on Twitter, I'm really quite concerned for her at this stage and it brought me tears. I don't think I've ever cared about a popstar before in the way a lot of you have had connections with Britney or Gaga but for me, the only person I've ever really obsessed over is Katy Perry and this really does upset me.

A lot of Britney fans slating her in the comments because of Katy talking about hair in the video, which I guess is to be expected after her comments before, but really does prove how hypocritical all fans can be - two wrongs don't make a right in any fanbase.

How does this make you feel? Definitely a big discussion point at this stage in her career.

And any rather disrespectful comments will be deleted, I'm all for opinion and not censoring people's opinions on her music in this forum, but here really isn't the place.

This is quite sad to see - she comes across as so strong and held together with a catalogue of music to reflect that! sad.gif

A heartbreaking watch for someone that has always exhumed positivity and happiness. I hope she gets the support she needs sad.gif

This really is her ARTPOP in that she is in a really bad state and her music is an attempt to free herself from it. The light at the end is that if she perseveres and has good people around her, she'll come out on the other side much stronger and level headed.

I think the tour will help her to re-connect with what matters - music, fans, herself.

I think the last tour might be part of the problem given she was on the road for so long and didn't have enough downtime but hopefully seeing fans might help her reconnect a bit more sad.gif

This video is so heartbreaking to watch no one should want to feel down about their job or their passion so hopefully, she can find a way to reconnect with her music and the fans. I just want her to be okay.

I feel awful for her sad.gif I really hope she can take some time off just to be HERSELF, obviously more important than album sales lmao.

Shame to see the reaction by a certain fanbase.

I'm really angry at the Britney stans. Really, incredibly angry! We should be SUPPORTING her and HELPING her through this situation. Not tearing her down even more. It's always heartbreaking to see a popstar reduced to this much, mentally. It just shows how much pressure there is on popstars. Especially female popstars! sad.gif

It's a case with all stans though, in all honesty. I'm pretty sure Katy stans were rude to Gaga when she was going through this phase, but it's a shame to see from fans at any point. It's one thing to enjoy someone flopping and another thing to revel in their dangerous mental state.

It's really saddening to see her like this sad.gif It's awful that people view the big popstars are sort of commodities, owned by us, as if we can dictate what music they make, how they style their hair, what their personality is like, to the point that people feel under so much pressure that it affects their mental health. At the end of the day, whatever public image she crafts, whatever music she puts out, whatever her persona is, Katy is a human underneath it sad.gif

This greatly proves how toxic stan culture can be sometimes. This has happened to so many celebrities that at this point I'm not surprised, but it's still horrible in every way. I was so honored to have the opportunity to meet Katy at the red carpet of the BillBoard Music Awards and she was an absolute ray of sunshine. That's what people should be seeing!

I'm rooting for her and hoping that she'll get through whatever she's going through.

Stan culture is awful. It's acts like Katy/Taylor or even Little Mix/Fifth harmony, perhaps Mariah and JLo where unnecessary vile criticisms are thrown around that aren't even based on music but dedication over conflict. Like others have said she's a ray of sunshine and people need to embrace that again!

I feel sad watching the video and can relate, so I hope she can continue to get the help she needs to cope.

I have to wonder why she feels so bad having to try and be Katy Perry but then releases an album, performs and tours under that name?

Well, she's hardly going to change her stage name at this point in her career is she?

No but she doesn't have to put herself in a position that is causing her unhappiness.
