He was on The Masked Singer and i'm just curious as to why he's chosen to do this... maybe i'm being a bit selfish but i feel like he's leaning too hard into a legacy artist at the moment whereas he should just keep releasing new music? I suppose that's where more of the money is for someone at his career stage :/ |

Huh Will Young was on the masked singer and somehow didn't win it with his voice!?!? What world do we live in?

He disguised it because his voice is too distinctive and it undid his vocal in the second week. He sang more like himself in the sing off, but then Jonathan Ross identified his voice immediately! |

Ah fair enough... I think the singers have a harder challenge that way the likes of Mel B, Sophie Ellis Bextor and obs Will Young have to disguise their more recognisable voices. |

I think Sophie is quite an underrated vocalist TBH. I've seen her live a few times and she's so distinguised.

I don't think appearing on The Masked Singer is anything bad, especially not after seeing that quite a few big names have appeared on it on the first two seasons (Nicola Roberts, Melanie B, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Skin, Kelis, Cee-Lo Green). None of them are the hottest act in town, but neither is Will, which makes total sense after doing this for 20 years! He is still doing very well for himself but is in another phase of his career compared to 10, 15 years ago. |

I’m very happy he’s releasing a new album in the autumn! He always manages to surprise.

I agree with you there is quite a range of music acts who, while not in their prime, have all been rather big artists and can still chart well in the albums chart - Joss Stone - Gabrielle - Jake Shears - Sophie Ellis Bextor - Will Young - Cee-Lo Green - Melanie B - Nicola Roberts - Aston Merrygold |

It's a bit... unremarkable. Pleasant enough, but nothing to make me want to go back to it really.

Does Will not care for Switch It On? Seems like an odd omission from a best of to me.

Love it. That voice is so special. And the song is such a bloody earworm. |
