So apparently all pre-2005 world record could be rewritten by a purposal from European Athletics.

No. Just no. That's like saying there weren't any good athletes before 2005. I get why they want to do it, but if I was a clean athlete who had held a record for 20 years I would be in despair.

You are taking away a record from someone and giving them a bad name. If there is no proof of wrong doing on the part of the athlete, I think they have no grounds to do this.
