 There's so much love for 'Shine' on Buzzjack! I don't think it's a bad song but still I can't properly connect with it. Looking forward to hearing the album nonetheless. Poor Little Mix stalling at #11, at the expense of Fifth Harmony! I think 'Worth It' is probably the better of the two songs actually, and I'm glad it's done well for them. Nice to see Birdy re-enter, I remember it being #1 on your chart actually, and a very worthy #1 too. So happy it finally got that much deserved Top 10 peak officially too! How on earth is 'Chains' flopping so badly? I (probably along with everyone else) thought it would definitely be Top 20 and possibly Top 10. It's a nice enough song but I'd rank it quite a way below 'Jealous'. Good stuff as always! |

Chains is really nice actually, much less in-your-face than Jealous but I think it works as a change in tempo for him so it's so disappointing to me to see it being so low on iTunes at the moment, missing the top 40 for this would just be devastating and sadly that seems likely. Jealous is obviously stronger but there's no way Chains is THAT much weaker. Great re-entry for Wings too, love how this is a real revival and suddenly everyone on here and public is getting into it (again). It was always a beautiful song so it was shame to see it overshadowed by Skinny Love, luckily it now has its time to shine

Hey Liam! Hope all is good.
'Shine' proving to be quite the grower right now! There seems to be a unanimous Years & Years high surrounding the forum at the moment, I'm yet to hear the album but have really enjoy their singles thus far, including the The Magician collab. 'Chains' is a fabulous new entry, SUCH a shame to see it flopping so hard as I was sure he'd bagged another hit for himself after 'Jealous'. The Birdy re-entry is lovely too, really glad she's got herself a top 10 with her best song by far! Fab chart.

As you can guess from its chart run, 'Shine' has grown on me significantly since airplay started increasing. Love both the song and video and I think, like 'King', it's going to be a long runner on my chart. I had a listen to the album and it definitely seems to be more lyric focused so I think will take a few listens to get properly into it, but I've no doubt the album will grow on me. I think Little Mix will squeeze into my Top 10 soon enough. I've been hearing 'Worth It' a lot at work so that's hugely part of the reason it has grown on me so much! Both songs are a little on the safe/generic side - 'Black Magic' caters for the Capital sound and 'Worth It' is straight out of 2013 - but both are good nonetheless. I saw that it had re-entered a lot of charts on here so I just thought why not join the bandwagon, because it is after all a stunning song and I too am thrilled it has gotten another lease of life and received a Top 10 peak in the process! Yeah, I'm shocked too! I'm not sure if Capital were supporting it, but even if they were, I'm sure they are still playing 'Jealous' a lot so people have probably just not realised he has a new single. It is a drop definite in quality from 'Jealous' but is catchy enough. I'm pretty confident it's not going to damage Nick Jonas' career as I reckon he'll have a hit on his hands when he releases a brand new song.
