I'm certainly not believing an Adele album until I see it.

I just hope Madonna doesn't release Rebel Heart soon after Adele's album and break her run of No 1 studio albums that stretches back to 1998's Ray Of Light and includes Music, American Life, Confessions On A Dancefloor, Hard Candy and MDNA I honestly think Madge is only going to sell about 30k in week 1 she won't stand a chance if she's in Adeles first two months! |

Adele's 3rd album might not be coming in 2015
QUOTE One of the most anticipated albums in pop history – the follow-up to Adele’s record-breaking 21 – almost certainly won’t be released before the Autumn and may take even longer, sources have told MBW. Adele is understood to be in Los Angeles this week working on new songs. Many had expected her third album to arrive in early 2015, which would follow the pattern of her previous two releases: 19 (January 28, 2008) and 21 (19 January, 2011). And, at some point, it was certainly pencilled in for that release window. But sources have told MBW that all parties working in Team Adele – including management company September, UK label XL/Beggars and US label Columbia – are supportive of her taking her time; to the point that (hold your breath, worldwide industry sales monitors) her third album isn’t even currently guaranteed to arrive this year. A source close to Team Adele told MBW: “The album will be released when it’s ready – [we]hope that will be at some stage in 2015. That’s all I can tell you right now.” Another US source told us that “logically, there is now almost no chance” of the LP being ready for release before the second half of 2015. http://www.musicbusinessworldwide.com/adel...ar-say-sources/ |

Fair enough. She's obviously taking her time trying to come out with another classic, it had just better be damn incredible when it finally surfaces.

Well I'm sure Rihanna's long break from the chart have her some time to write some SPINNING CHOONS this year. We want another We Found Love smash
Btw do the Q# represent quarterly i.e Q1 is Jan-March and Q4 is Oct-Dec? |

I'm actually convinced at this stage that Adele has given up and is living life as a recluse (ala Kate Bush). I mean, she hasn't been seen or heard of in public for so long now and this new album is probably no closer than it was 2 years ago.

I'm pretty sure the album has made progress as she's been in and out of the studio quite a bit. Wouldn't surprise me if she does a Beyoncé-esque release, perhaps the week or two before Christmas and sell by the millions. |

They're doing well to throw people off the scent of a surprise Beyoncé style release, aren't they?
Edit: Just imagine if she did hold back for the Christmas market though? The sales would be insane and would surely give Oasis & Arctic's albums a run for their money? |

lol.
haven't we been waiting for this new Adele album longer than Broke With Expensive Taste? There've been rumours of it being released "shortly" for 2 years now I think, always followed by an 'actually it won't be released for a while' statement. not that it matters, as whenever it gets released it will be massive. |

will cry lots of tears if adele holds off rihanna from #1 tbh i don't think im ready for the comeback of adele, she's going to ruin all of my faves and be #1 for like 20 weeks isn't she.. Yes and she'd certainly hold Rihanna and anyone else off the top! This post has been edited by Common Sense: 16th January 2015, 06:10 PM |
