Indeed a big week of New Album Releases, surprised 1-2 of those didn't hold back to next couple of weeks where the competition is not as strong. Looking forward to seeing Sigrid and Dido in Top 5 but wonder whether Tom Walker will hold on with about 20k.

I think Sigrid will do really well - she seems to have quite a lot of stans!
Also she had a 2 day pop up shop and lots of different formats and bundles (Picture Disc, Splatter Vinyl, Standard Vinyl, CD, Cassette etc.,). |

Dido's previous studio Album ('Girl Who Got Away') opened in March 2013 with nearly 33k of Sales. This time she seems to have stepped up the promotional activities but overall Sales have dropped off a bit since 2013...

I’d like to see Dido keep up her top 5 streak. The album is really very good. 6 years later, I doubt she’ll be seeing 33k again. Probably be lucky to hit 13k

It's a crazy competitive week in albums, not sure why everybody chose this week, then there's almost no big releases til the end of April besides Billie Eilish
hoping Dido can open with 20K at least also rooting for David Gray, even if he doesn't seem to be as popular as before This post has been edited by Bjork: Mar 10 2019, 05:37 PM |

Pink is supposed to release her album in April but for some reason hasn’t announced a release date.

Catfish and the Bottlemen and Khalid are also releasing in April, Catfish will almost certainly get a #1.

Foals or Dave for #1 this week surely? Hard to tell who’s going to open on the bigger sales. Would be nice to see Dido, Sigrid and Tom Walker complete the T5 too, if only to keep things fresh!

I think it should be between Dido and Tom Walker for the number 1 spot, they are both in the top 2 on iTunes and Amazon. Don't know who this Dave is and I can't see anyone else being number 1.

Daves streams will be high so that could help him compared to the rest.
Think a lot of artists wait until March to start the year nearly with album releases while January is quiet and Feb is awards season! |

Sometimes when somebody says they haven't heard of an act, I would suggest googling them. In this case, however... Googling Dave still brings up mostly results about him (a couple about the TV channel, but otherwise it's all reviews of his album and his social medias). Using just Dave as his stage name was a bold move but he's established enough now to pull it off. |

Doesn't Google skew your results based on your previous searches though?
Oh well, I reserve the right to recycle that joke if anyone says they don't know who A are. Or the XX Teens. |
