with Senorita set to hit ACR, it's an open race for #1 between Kygo/Whitney Houston, Ed/Khalid, Dominic Fike and possibly Ed/Stormzy's 'Take Me Back to London' following a new remix. New releases include 5 Seconds of Summer's Teeth and The 1975 with People, and tracks from Craig David and Charlie Puth
Taylor Swift is set to pick up a fourth consecutive #1 album with Lover, with new releases from Headie One's debut Music x Road and Brockhampton with Ginger looking to make an impact

Taylor sold 17k on day 1 (streams not included) according to ATRL
hopefully 3 Nights can somehow sneak ahead of Ed Sheeran this week, we could really use an actually good number one for once.
(or Higher Love but I think 3N is more likely)
Not Monday update till Tuesday bank holiday Monday
First look is still on Radio 1 tomorrow at 6pm.
Higher Love is increasing streams. Currently number 2 on Apple, number 3 Amazon, number 6 Spotify and number 1 iTunes. There’s also an official video coming. It may push it to the top spot!
Currently Ed and Stormzy are number 1 and Kygo and Whitney are number 2 on the first look at the chart.
Taylor Swift - "Lover" (Fri-Sat)
Physical: 11,036
Digital: 8,600
Streaming equivalent*: 3,544
Total: 23,180
(*Missing from APPLE STRM, SAINSBURYS, SPOTIFY STRM, YOUTUBE for Sat, AMAZON HD, AMAZON STRM for Fri, Sat.)
Friday pure sales:
Physical: 9,173
Digital: 7,694
Total: 16,867
Saturday pure sales (missing sales from Sainsburys):
Physical: 1,863
Digital: 906
Total: 2,769
Pure sales (Fri-Sat): 19,636
Thanks to "popmusic" from ATRL.
Surely those Saturday sales are incorrect!!!
Ouch if they're true
Freya has dropped quite a bit on iTunes today so unfortunately it looks like Castles may nave to have a 16 peak when I thought it deserved more
Fingers crossed 3 taylor stay top 40 bit suprised one isnt YNTCD, also she looking like Slipknot kind of sales maybe a little bit better if not as frontloaded but should be enough to go number 1 regardless
OMG Whitney is gonna rule the charts again!!!finally uk charts are interesting again
Higher love video has been released, Really hope it's this weeks number 1 ☺️
Bit late for the Higher love video
Yesterday Higher love did like 160k less than Ed on
Spotify, so no chance sadly :/
Ed bloody Sheeran has to ruin everything doesn’t he. Not Kygo coming to peak at number two although I’m pleasantly surprised he’s got this high.
At least it won't be Beautiful People again. Though without seeing the sales, I'd say an Ed 1-2 with Higher Love at #3 is still possible...
I hope "Higher Love" can somehow manage to get to #1 with the release of the music video. I assume it'll have a few more oppotunities over the next few weeks to get to #1 if it doesn't get there this week?
I hope "Torn" charts!
Second time Ed has denied a late pop legend a glorious posthumous chart-topper. I don't actually the mind this song compared to his other singles but he has reached peak smugness in the video. He needs a long break, but obviously won't have one as terrified of people moving on from him. Capaldi was properly on the cusp of stealing his thunder prior to him remembering his hip-hop roots or something.
Yep, looking like a total megalomaniac at this point. I was looking forward to his bubble bursting before but now I'm really looking forward to it since the "half a billi" line. And he has the most awful legacy already considering the sheer number of dressed-down balladeering 'ordinary' heartbroken young men dominating the pop scene.
Sam is dropping hard on ITunes thx to the numerous singles going discount...
Dont a lot of artists release pointless remixes these days that just dont seem to take off and have much effect (YNTCD clean bandit remixes by taylor swift, bounce back little mix had a dozen off the top of my head) so why is Ed suddenly satan reincarnated because his are being effective, didnt OTR get a few weeks dye to the billy ray cyrus version being released? Or is that fair game because Lil nash hasnt been around as long
I can see Ava missing the top 100 ffs
3 Nights and Ritual are both 59p. Does Dominic Fike have a shot at No1 or are we resigned to a month of Take Me Back to London at the summit?
People just don't like Ed on here because they sit in certain artists forums begging for their fave to be as savvy as he is but they aren't, they don't sell anywhere near what Ed does and you can feel the bitterness ooze out.
Ed is smart and talented.
Yes agree ed’s label are very smart
A bit like Westlife used to be
Talented? Sure but as a money-maker machine
Nothing to do with good songwriting or real music
Actually you can say he isn’t a good songwriter if you don’t like any of his songs. I can’t stand his writing and I don’t think it’s that impressive. There are so many great songwriters out there who just get ignored.
1 Taylor Swift – Lover (36k)
2 Ed Sheeran – No 6 Collaborations Project
3 Lewis Capaldi – Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent
4 New Model Army – From Here

Top 100 albums update is in https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/taylor-swift-s-lover-is-heading-straight-for-number-1-on-the-official-albums-chart__27135/.
The midweek chart hasn’t updated on the OCC site yet - where is Kylie please?
#46 - the entire top 100 is available through the link coi posted.
G'won BROCKHAMPTON *.* 'iridescence' ended up at #20 so hopefully this will out-peak that. Massive Attack also
Dua at #20 :’)
Decent sales for Taylor, probably 50k by Friday!
What did Taylor's last album open with? Early sales look decent for her.
#12 at this stage is great for 'GINGER', hopefully should be safe to outpeak 'iridescence' now then (especially as that album actually climbed during the mids due to being very much stream-dependent which this one will be too so it hopefully at least won't drop much), wasn't expecting that to happen so yay!! Impatiently awaiting the top 100 singles update to see if its Spotify performance has been enough for 'NO HALO' to get them a first 'hit' single.
Taylor's sales looking decent if a bit of a dip from the last era, I think this album could stick around pretty well for her though especially if they do push the title track as a proper single as it seems like a good album selling song. Cool to see Headie One in the top 5 as well!
Brockhampton are #66 AND #99 in the singles chart update!
Sam Feldt at #21!
Cruel Summer completes the Taylor Swift threesome at #24
Lauv & Anne-Marie climb to #30
Wiley also in at #40
#42 The 1975, #44 Regard, #45 5SOS, #48 Becky Hill & Weiss, #49 Solardo & Eli Brown, #61 Lana Del Rey
Tones & I #41 as well. Also Ladbroke Grove above Beautiful People for a potential new peak at #3!

Not sure how AJ has overtaken Ed and Dominic but not gonna complain at it getting a top 3 peak...!
Ugh can we not at Lauv/Anne entering, I was hoping that was gonna be stuck at its original #43 peak. Not really a fan of this new Wiley single either so I hope the Taylor album tracks are decent x
(Also hope Regard can sneak into the top 40 by Friday! Happy that The 1975 should be missing out tho, Tones And I to stay away as well pls xx)

Some great songs climbing into the top 50 this week, hopefully they can continue going to the top 40.
I hope Lalala can sneak a week in the top 40 after its video release. Up at #43, I think it has a good chance.
Lizzo at 32 and 62, both would be highest peaks yet with both songs,. Hope they don't fall
Good sales for Taylor
Shocking flop for The 1975 after all the payola
The 1975 being as high as #42 in the midweeks is honestly pretty impressive for such a terrible uncommercial song. This and Slipknot's couple of charting songs are pretty far outside the limits of how heavy chart music usually gets these days.
And Rammstien making it to #98
Great sales for Taylor after all! Deserved though. Reputation was Q4 too so I think the sales decrease is actually pretty on point considering where sales are at now and that this isn't Q4! I can def see this album holding up as 'Lover' gets more airplay etc.. I just hope heart are on board straight away!
I think Tool's Fear Innoculum would have made it as well, had it not been released on a Wednesday.
Nah I doubt TOOL's first 7 days would have been enough to make the top 100. (Forgot about Rammstein of course x)
Oh f*** off Ed being greedy and trying to get a #1. Stopping the dead from getting a #1 AGAIN
It's almost as if he wants his music to be successful
Nah, he just really wants to spite dead people apparently.
If it's 'again' - has there been a first time?
There's a film based on the song Last Christmas out this year - wouldn't surprise me if it has another shot.
But remember that Ed doesn't promote his music! All the success he's getting is without any promotion whatsoever.
I remember when Ed Sheeran was the rapper on Evacuate The Dancefloor
Ed WISHES he had a Cascada collaboration under his belt.
HL was used on tonight’s e4/tomorrows c4 Hollyoaks so I hope that gives it a boost
Hope New Model Army can stay in the Top 10 albums 👍
Music week seems be late this week
Up but behind a paywall

#5 hasn't even sold 3k... ouch
WTF is this song at #1 looool
Taylor should finish around 50k a decent start reputation did 84k during Q4 release
That's Ed & Stormzy at #1 for a few weeks then - we may as well all just accept it now!
Wow didnt realise ed had such a lead
Whoever gets #2 will probably have the lowest weekly sale for a #2 this year - currently held by Nothing Breaks Like A Heart which sold 40.3k in its week there, just checked and it had done 24.7k by the Wednesday mid.
Is señorita Still out top 10
Ugh. I'm really surprised Ed is SO far ahead. Poor Whit </3
Fair enough!
I thought Taylor would do 100k easily, she is a worldwide megastar, 40k is nothing! just 4k yesterday?
Even '1989' didn't open with 100k, that's a pretty absurd prediction especially with the singles from this album not being as big as the leads from her last couple
At least this will be the last #01 from Ed for a while as he's going for a long break. Thank the LORD.
He's releasing some songs from Yesterday in November
Ed is taking a break from touring
Not from releasing songs
Oh man, I had no idea the lead was that big either.
The song isn't that bad (aside from the rather woeful lyrics), but seriously DAMN HIM for blocking 'Higher Love' from #1.

Strike a Pose closing in for a top 10... wouldn't surprise me if Kygo is down to 4 by tomorrow's chart as I can see AJ and Dominic overtaking
Think it's safe to say 3 Nights will be #4 tomorrow.
Higher Love and Ladbroke Grove will both get new peaks in the Top 3. Only question is who will get #2, they are both likely to end close to 40k but whoever gets most is sure to have the lowest weekly sale for a #2 since January. So rather than Higher Love being unlucky to be kept off #1, it would be lucky to be #2 with those sales.
How these done please

Really hope AJ can get the #2 but doesn't look like he's quite catching up fast enough.
Really hoping taylor has done enough for triple taylor tommorrow (also hope we get trivia of where the other tracks could have been)
How has Ed Sheeran got such high numbers when he’s behind other songs on Apple, Amazon, Spotify and ITunes Charts this week?
Ed hass 3 versions of the song on the Spotify 200, combined he's doing more than 500K per day, while Kygo is doing around 350K most days, so huge difference
