Choose and your wish will be granted!

Michael Jackson for me... although would be happy with The Beatles too.

Please god no more Queen!

I think we're Queened out for now laugh.gif

I'd like to see The Beatles! I feel like they don't have a super obvious signature song so it may be interesting (and I don't recall I've ever seen a poll/rate for them on here before which is ludicrous).

The Beatles, it would be interesting to see tastes of younger folk not around for the originals. I've been toying with quickie rates for both Beatles & Jacko though ( a la the Abba one I did a couple of years back) so maybe I can hold off those and go for madonna, prince or some other big name

I vote Michael Jackson

Posted by: dobbo 13th February 2019, 10:46 AM

MJ

Ooh I offered to host a Beatles '1' rate a while ago but that never came to fruition (no worries, I forgot about it myself tbh) so my vote 100% goes to that for the next poll wub.gif

(failing that I'd also be more than happy with MJ so it's all good *.*)

Good idea, I’ll do MJ and the Beatles for the next 2 (the order depends on who wins here), so a quicker other one in tandem could be done too!

I would like to see a Bob Marley 'Legend' rate at some point too as that's another one of those albums that's been in and out the chart for nearly 30 years. smile.gif

Okey doke, I'll get my holiday out the way first - I'll get my wrist slapped if I go online too much when there's sunshine and sand outside, so I'm going to have to sneak doing the BJSC while a certain someone is in the shower each day and extra would really be pushing my luck laugh.gif

After MJ and The Beatles could we do Elton John 'Diamonds' to coincide with the biopic release?

Although to avoid doing the entire set (51 songs!), there could be a nomination section beforehand to limit it to 20 (and doing just disc one would take out quite a few of his big hits).

You’re welcome to do that after I’ve done the other 2 Dan.

Alternatively you could run three rounds (starting with 17 songs each) simultaneously. You can then go down to a single round for the last dozen or so.

So, in this order next:

Michael Jackson Number 1s JESTER
The Beatles 1 JESTER
Elton John Diamonds DANG

Plus an extra or 2 in tandem (Madonna and Prince) JOHN

Beatles - 1
+ any greatest hits compilation from Blondie in future.

Some great suggestions here, looking forward to these. I agree, I think we have had enough Queen for the time being...

Posted by: Popchartfreak 14th March 2019, 04:06 PM

okey doke! smile.gif

I'll wait for the first one to get underway then interrupt it for a week long Quickie Rate of.....Madonna!

Just to remind in advance of the format, 5 fave songs in order, the points system is designed to bias towards absolute faves rather than consistently being liked but not loved - fave song is 10 points 2nd 7 points
3rd 5 points 4th 3 points 5th 1 point. So order matters! smile.gif
