My chart only began in the first week of 2010, had I done prior to that, I'd imagine Kelly Clarkson would be on like 7, Gaga would be on a few more and The Sats would be up at least one or two, as would Rihanna and K-Pez. There'd likely be many more artists added too!

06 The Saturdays (Ego, Missing You, Higher, All Fired Up and My Heart Takes Over, Faster)
05 Lady Gaga (Telephone, Alejandro, Born This Way, Judas and Marry The Night) - BR, Paparazzi, PF and JD would've got there too, and Y&I/TEOG were just very unlucky number 2s and had amazing chart runs too!
04 Katy Perry (California Gurls, Teenage Dream, E.T. and Firework)
03 Rihanna (What's My Name?, California King Bed, Man Down)

The Saturdays were very lucky - I actually prefer Gaga's number 2s (TEOG and Y&I) to all those those bar Higher!

Selena Gomez has 2 (Naturally and Love You Like A Love Song), as do Cheryl Cole (Promise This and The Flood), Demi Lovato (Skyscraper and All Night Long) and Alicia Keys (ESOMII and Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart).

My chart has been rather sporadic over the past few years but I have managed to rack up about 300 weeks and 100 #1s, so this is still very much relevant.

Girls Aloud, Sugababes, Beyonce - 6 #1s
Leona Lewis - 5 #1s
Rihanna, Lady GaGa - 4 #1s
Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Cheryl Cole - 3 #1s

That pretty much reads as a list of my favourite artists of the past few years (without Cheryl and Katy perhaps, who just had very good first eras imo.)

Same with mine, although there's a notable absence in Lady Gaga and Katy Perry I guess, who have shockingly both only topped my chart once each, with Bad Romance and Self Inflicted respectively ohmy.gif

I always say that I chart songs based on the individual song and not the artist and get midly annoyed when loons put EVERY single by their fave at #1 in their chart for at least five weeks each, but then I was as bad as that with Delta so who am I to judge. I doubt I'll ever loon over anyone as much again - 13 #1's, and she's only had three era's? Insane, that even rivals the Gaga and Britney stanning levels on here!

I'd never even thought about that until I started going through my #1 singles since 2004 earlier. Akon clearly makes a brilliant featured artist. kink.gif

Beyoncé - 7 (Just Stand Up/Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)/Telephone/Why Don't You Love Me/Run The World (Girls)/Best Thing I Never Had/1+1)

Leona Lewis - 6 (Bleeding Love/Better In Time/Just Stand Up/Forgive Me/Run/Happy)
Nicki Minaj - 6 (Check It Out/Moment 4 Life/Girls Fall Like Dominoes/Till The World Ends/Super Bass/Fly)

Ellie Goulding - 5 (Starry Eyed/Guns and Horses/The Writer/Your Song/Wonderman)
Mariah Carey - 5 (Touch My Body/Bye Bye/I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time/Just Stand Up/Obsessed)

Beverley Knight - 4 (Beautiful Night/In Your Shoes/Soul Survivor/One More Try)
Ciara - 4 (Just Stand Up/Love Sex Magic/Taking Back My Love/Gimmie Dat)
Estelle - 4 (American Boy/No Substitute Love/Pretty Please (Love Me)/One Love)
Kelly Rowland - 4 (Work/Daylight/When Love Takes Over/Commander)
Lady GaGa - 4 (Just Dance/Bad Romance/Telephone/The Edge Of Glory)

Adele - 3 (Chasing Pavements/Rolling In The Deep/Someone Like You)
Alesha Dixon - 3 (The Boy Does Nothing/Breathe Slow/Drummer Boy)
Amy Winehouse - 3 (Valerie/B Boy Baby/Like Smoke)
Kelis - 3 (Acapella/Scream/Bounce)

Featuring songs inflate a couple of artists (that Artists Stand Up To Cancer song gave 4 of these an extra #1!) and some artists were really over rated by me at the time Estelle/Mariah Carey in particular. Alesha Dixon is the only artist here who Iwouldn't list as one of my favourite.
