Chart Commentary

“In this week’s chart we see no change at the top spot, but plenty of climbers and a handful of new entries scattered about also.

Angel Voices is still a very much loved song on the Top 40 Countdown by awardinary and it’s reign at #1 continues for a second week after soaring straight to the top on its first week in the chart. The Prodigy are down a place and this allows for Panic Room to reach a new peak. There are also new Top 10 peaks for Krystal Klear, Chicane, Moby and Sigala also.

The highest new entry of the week comes from Robyn who has been sharing her music with the world for well over two decades now. Her latest offering is certainly going down well and it looks set to peak again next week. A few places behind are Gryffin with latest single Tie Me Down. Gryffin would have been the winners of the biggest song in 2017 on this Countdown if it had continued until the end of the year! Elsewhere new entries from Dynoro & Gigi D’Agostino and Kiesza complete the list.

George Ezra is the unfortunate biggest faller of the week dropping 9 places, and conversely, climbing 9 places this week are CliQ with Clap Clap which is the highest climber.

Four songs are out of the chart this week including Cheat Codes & Little Mix, Diplo & Mark Ronson pts. Silk City, Selena Gomez and Sigala & Paloma Faith.
