I've just asked this man George Ergatoudis, Radio 1's Head of Music (who decides what music gets played) if he is looking forward to Gaga's new album, and he said that he's meeting up with Gaga's manager next week to discuss how the new music is coming along...

Things are really quiet atm.
No word on the release date, first single, what we can expect from the album etc... Can anyone remember when Gaga said that she would tell us the name of the new album at 12:00am on New Year? Maybe she'll tell us the name of the first single then scene as we already know the title now? Or even better, post the new song on her website or something?  That would be amazing.

Yeah, I think she'll reveal something at new year, to make up for us already knowing the title. But I don't know if it will be an actual song, maybe just a title, album cover, track-list, release date or something? It all depends on the release date of the album...if it's April or before, having the song premier at New Year might be ok. If it's closer to the middle of the year, I think New Year could be a little early....

I think the album being released on her Birthday seems plausible.
It's end of March so it's still in Q1 and the Album title is quite appropriate for the occasion. Having 2 singles before the album would be great as it would mean we'll hear the lead sooner. I think She's got demand though to just do 1 single and 3 promo one's each week on iTunes up until release date like Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. |

It would be great if GaGa did release it on her birthday, there would be so much hype around it with that! I would prefer to have two singles before the album is released, but I wouldn't want the whole album to leak before the release.

Yeah, im pretty much expecting it to be released on her birthday, which if true, means we should be hearing the lead single January?
I'd prefer just the one single before the album tbh, but i wouldn't mind if she released two because if she does, she's pretty much guaranteed two #1's.  I wonder if she'll beat her 3 UK #1's in a year record in 2011?

 She's probably guaranteed more than just two number 1's. I'm not sure if she'll beat her 3 UK #1's in a year, it could happen but I wonder if this era will be as big as 'The Fame' era... |

I meant the two songs released before the album are probably both guaranteed to go to #1, then possibly the 3rd single too.
I doubt it will sell as strongly and as consistent as The Fame has, but im expecting mammoth first week sales, a la Take That. I wonder if BTW will be re-released too? 'Born This Way - A Free Bitch'? 'Born A Free Bitch'?

APPARENTLY Perez Hilton had the final full version of the song 'Born This Way' on his laptop, and his laptop got hacked! iLeaks are said to have hold of the track now...
