Hardly the most supposing news but Union J have been dropped from their record label. Their recent chart performances have been shocking despite decent promotion (Their last single reached #2 but spent 3 weeks in the Too 75!).
I thought that they might have been able to salvage a career after the hype around 'You Got It All' but it all seemed to turn a bit desperate with them selling their single for 49p at signings then dropping the album price to £3.99 - Not sure if they will be able to continue? 2 floppy albums despite being backed by 2 huge labels. |

To be honest, they just had no personality at all. That Jaymi one is horrific. He seems so full of himself. I do feel sorry for them though

They should have released 'Central Park' - Everytime they asked fans what their favorite song on the album was that was always the clear winner - Could have been a swift follow up to 'You Got It All'.
Can't see another major label touching them now though? Like JLS in the last part of their career and bands such as M.A.D they seemed to have a small but very strong fanbase that would multi buy every release only for them to plummet the following week due to not appealing to the public - The fact that the XF performance couldn't keep their #2 single in the charts for more than 3 weeks was a real indication that there was not much hope! The first album went silver 6 months after release and the 2nd album must have reached 25-30k in sales? Nowhere near enough to sustain the investment needed in this kind of band. |

They were ok ish on XF but since then they've failed to have an even halfway decent song. They aren't particularly likeable, talented or good looking or anything. Meh.

I actually really enjoyed You Got It All was deftinely there best song but not really suprised or gutted by this news.

I saw one of them in a Zizzi's restaurant in Windsor last Christmas! Couldn't name him, had dark hair?
I'm actually surprised they made it to a second album, all their singles were terminally forgettable. |

I don't think I can recall one of their songs, couldn't really name any off the top of my head if it weren't for other people talking about them being dropped. Good riddance, utterly forgettable and pointless band.

One Direction clone cash-in band, given one 'hit' song and one hit song only (Carry You) and then left to die.
But their place on The Big Reunion 2025 - along with JLS, The Wanted, Stooshe, Lawson and Girls Can't Catch - is assured. |

I think the writing was on the wall for them (at least in my eyes) when I saw them HEADLINING a gig at the premiere nightclub for teens in a town near me (population 6000). The venue has a capacity of 100 people, give or take a few. Yeah.
