Martin Solveig has teased his new single on Facebook 'Juliet & Romeo' which is coming this Friday 6th December featuring Roy Woods.
Sadly not Roy Wood from Wizzard!
WE WANT MORE EUROPA
piano and beat taken from a Kölsch's song
This is an absolute tune! Certainly going to be playing it a LOT in the new year.
This has taken a little bit of time but it has grown on me a lot! Really love that he's interpolated Kolsch into it (who apparently co-produces this as well).
Added to Radio 1’s playlist
Wow! I'm not really feeling this but great to see him getting continued support from Radio 1.
I love pretty much everything Martin Solveig does, but this is a real misfire.
Yeah this is awful :/
At #83 in the chart update, I've been quite liking this lately so hopefully it stays in!
hopefully it does and that it gives Hot Hits a kick up the backside to add it.
it's doing reasonably well on AM, #80 today.
^hahah been added to HH today
oh yay, looks like it finally got through to them that it was worth an add.
still can’t see it being an official top 40 hit but I’ll take top 75 as a success.
Would absolutely be here for this being a hit, would be the best song to crack the Top 100 this year so far.
Now appeared in the midweek chart update at #83. Really adored Kölsch's Der Alte so it's interesting to see it used as a sample but because of that it just feels like such a lazy effort from Martin Solveig, it sounds alright as a song but it's poor in comparison!
Yes agree somewhat coi its a bit underwhelming. It reminds me of Jackie Chan by Tiesto and Post Malone in style especially with Roy Woods sounding like Post Malone but the production isn't as interesting in my opinion.
Enters the chart at #77 today
really liking this
Up to #65 this week.
Properly loving this now! It reminds me a bit of Friendly Fires.
This really deserves to go top 40. Hopefully it picks up on Spotify bit and can enter next week
Up to #51 this week, making good progress
This deserved better
it did fairly well for itself in the end but I agree, should've been a top 20 at least - one of my faves of the year.
