Behind These Hazel Eyes is my favourite song of Kelly's - and hers too!

'Behind These Hazel Eyes' sold 75k in 2005; 125k sold since.

Such a shame how terrible sales were in 2005, this would have sold so much more if the sales climate was similar to how it was 10 years later.

Surprised that "Crying Lightning" by Arctic Monkeys is only now hitting 200k - it's by no means one of their biggest/best, but I would've thought even older singles would've benefited from their 'AM' era streaming success.

Oasis - What's The Story Morning Glory - Platinum 15x - 4,500,000.

Yet on 13/10/18 the OCC gave sales of 4.94m. So where does the extra 440,000 sales come from?
I assume BPI gets its sales figures from the OCC?

Was the 4.94m figures sales only (not including streaming sales).

the occ are using different multipliers for the mid-90s data every time they do an update
in every article they publish they give away different figures

but the latest they gave was 4,485 million, so makes sense that it's 15 x platinum now

No, it was combined sales. OCC said "The chart - which ranks albums by combining physical sales, downloads and streams in the UK - reflects album sales of 135 million across more than 60 years. Chart is based on album sales and streams from 1956 to week 39, 2018."

I assume OCC database uses only DUS sales, and hence is lower.

'Dreadlock Holiday' sold around 585k in 1978, from what I can find, putting its total sales at 785k.

'Fly By II' sold 147k in 2002; 53k sold since.

'Goodies' sold just 83k in 2005, selling 117k since then. Quite surprised it has taken this long to go Silver considering '1 2 Step' managed it exactly 3 years ago and wasn't that far ahead originally (106k in 2005).

'Layla' reached #7 in 1972 (Y/E #77) and #4 in 1982 (Y/E 79); guessing its total sales are in the region of 800k to date?

'Holiday' sold 278k in 2009; 322k sold since.

'Sing for the Moment' sold 59k in 2003; 141k sold since.

'Common People' sold 309k in 1995; 291k sold since, although I don't know if its 90s sales were since revised.

'Crank That (Soulja Boy)' sold 113k in 2007 and 188k in 2008; 299k sold since.

'A-Punk' sold 59k in 2008 with just a peak of #55, selling 541k since then. It received an automatic Silver in the big July 2013 update and was certified Gold in April 2017. Appears to be selling ~2.1k a week after becoming something of an modern indie classic.

Nirvana's Unplugged album sold 310k in 1994 and around 150k in 1995, meaning its nearly doubled its sales since.

Morning Glory is certified 15x Platinum for sales of 4.5m. Figures do fluctuate between this revised total and a higher total that uses original 95-96 sales. The OCC tend to refer to this higher figure, which is currently about 20k away from breaking 5m.

'Dreadlock Holiday' had already been awarded both Silver and Gold certifications (then for 250,000 and 500,000 sales respectively) back in 1978 but those awards are missing from the BPI database which is why it has been able to be awarded a silver certification this time around. Music Week showed a Silver certification award in the issue dated 09/09/78 and a Gold certification in the issue dated 23/09/78, the week it reached number 1.

It’s not the DC Michelle, it’s from The Greatest Showman soundtrack

Though Tightrope is probably the "Michelle Williams" of the Greatest Showman Soundtrack.
