Apologies, this caught us a little by surprise and I am in Germany this week sans laptop! I get home on Sunday so stay tuned for our Logo reveal! In the meantime we’re thrilled to confirm that Morpeth Cove will be the host city for the 102nd BJSC. Please apply for your visas for entry to Ashton at your local consulate. Tinnmark and FSR Rontvia need not apply as they have free movement with Ashton.

Foreign language entries are heavily encouraged. We look forward to the contest returning to Ashton later this week!

Very prompt!

I actually currently have no clue what I'm going for this month but it's hiiighly likely to be another foreign language song (quite possibly Spanish although I fully expect to crash out in the semi if I go for that one) so I support this foreign language hype as ever! #waronenglish

Green room already ohmy.gif yay! Unfortunately I do not have any foreign language potentials on me right now (if only this was 3 contests earlier x), but my planned entry for 102 is a 6 minute breakcore instrumental *.* so hyped to unleash this one.

Considering 6 of my last 10 entries have been in a foreign language, I may have to continue that trend...

I'm a bit unsure at the moment on what exactly to send but I feel confident I can pull something out of the bag for an Ashton contest.

I have a fab track lined up for 102 I’m super excited about. It is of course in a foreign language, we are going with German for the first time! (And totally taking our AQ spot)

I have no idea what to go for next after Femme En Fourrure crashed and burned! Perhaps we will find ourselves going back to safe indie rock or something...

I've just found out that one of my Spanish potentials is a version of a centuries old poem. That formula worked well for Lotunia in BJSC 101, maybe it won't be too disastrous after all... laugh.gif

Super super different to everything I've ever sent before but experimentation is always a good thing right x

How appropriate, I will be entering a German song for this contest. It's not a foreign language one though,it's sung in English. It's the first pop song I have sent and also the shortest.

I have quite a few foreign language songs queued up and waiting to be sent (yes I know, no one is shocked). Not exactly sure where to go from here because I keep doing awfully. I have a comedy track that I may send because Aesthetica has literally become a joke at this point, but who knows? Got a few days to think it over.

BJSC-today.ash: BJSC CII news round up and rumours 6th Feb 2018

Welcome to our daily round up of Ashton BJSC news and rumours from Ashton’s most popular source of BJSC news!

First up is the inescapable news of the month! The BuzzJack Song Contest crown has returned to Ashton thanks to Alvaro Soler and the incredible song “Sofia”!! A complete shock to all of us here at BJSC-today.ash! The nation has been celebrating in the streets with all offices and schools closed today. Some sense of normality is expected to return to the Federal Republic tomorrow as preparations begin for the 102nd BJSC

We’ve heard rumours that Estadjo Natio Áskorza (Ashton National Stadium) will be the venue for the contest. The first time this venue has been used for BJSC. The stadium opened in 2016 with a concert by Ashtonise royalty MKS and Tone Damli. The stadium was designed to be used as a music venue in the football off season, with a specially designed roof to give excellent acoustics.

BJSC tickets are available for purchase from 9am West Ashton Standard Time Wednesday. 55% of the tickets will be sold to Ashtonise residents with 45%available on the open market. Visit billéte.ash for more information and to purchase your tickets. Ticket resale is illegal in Ashton and any tickets appearing on international resale sites will be cancelled

Keisha Buchanan is taking back to the sofa! That’s right, Keisha Buchanan’s long running TV chat show will be reappearing for two special episodes. Promo slots are available for international broadcasters to apply for. Petition your head of delegation to request a slot from the SNÁ BJSC organising committee.

Our source at the SNÁ has confirmed that the dates for the contest will be revealed tomorrow. It is expected to begin on the 11th and run through to the beginning of March

Our source at the organisers have revealed that the theme for the contest is to be “record breaking love”. We’re hoping that is just an early draft.

Let us know of any scoops or rumours you’ve heard in the comments and let us know what you think of the theme.

Until tomorrow!
