It’s ok but I don’t think it’s any better or any worse than lovers. Pretty mediocre and not as strong as their other stuff.

I liked Lovers (it proved to be a grower) and it fitted in well with their past material - but I’m really enjoying the 80s vibe of Animals! A fresh direction for them and makes me more excited for the album if they explore that sound further.

They were awful the first time round and still pretty crap now (just listening to animals). Why did they reform?

I disagree and that’s your opinion. At least they write and produce a lot of their own material unlike a lot of other bands.
