I reckon Fontaines could beat Taylor thanks to the physicals

Alanis is doing pretty well, looks like she should be at least top 10, even maybe top 5
Her last 2 studio albums (Flavors of Entanglement and Havoc & Brihgt Lights) both peaked outside the top 10,#15 and #12 respectively,
so could be great if this goes top 10

Their audience is more likely to stream or by physicals tbf! Sports Team were even lower on their first day

Cut Copy sad.gif I wonder if it'll dent the Top 40 on Friday but I guess physicals are a better indicator for its success or lack thereof.

As their last 3 albums haven't made the top 100 here, probably not unfortunately

was just checking that, the last Erasure album did nearly 9K on week 1 back in May 2017 (Erasure - 8,858 sales)

At their peak between 1988 and 1994, Erasure - keyboards player Vince Clarke and singer Andy Bell - racked up five straight No.1 albums, with four studio albums and the compilation Pop! The First 20 Hits all ruling the roost. Although they have remained popular, they subsequently missed the Top 10 with eight consecutive studio albums, from 2000's Loveboat to 2014's The Violet Flame but their 2015 compilation Always: The Very Best Of Erasure reached No.9 in 2015, and the pair now have their first Top 10 studio album for 20 years with 17th studio effort World Be Gone debuting at No.6 (8,858 sales). It is their 20th Top 75 entry, and their ninth Top 10 album in a chart career spanning nearly 31 years.

but I remember it was a pledge album, not sure if that can distort sales

so Erasure could maybe be #2? Killers sure will be #1 even though with lower figures than in the past
I mean the crazy opening figures of Sam's Town or Day & Age are impossible nowadays...

this is what they wrote on MW when their last album was released:
Wonderful Wonderful sold 51,756 copies, including 2,711 from sales-equivalent streams, last week. Their 2004 debut Hot Fuss opened at number six (29,349 sales) and took a further 31 weeks to top the chart. The rest of their albums were instant number ones – and on much higher first week sales than Wonderful Wonderful. They are: Sam's Town (2006 on sales of 268,946), Day & Age (2008, 200,299 sales) and Battle Born (2012, 93,989 sales). Also registering Top 10 success with compilations Sawdust (2009) and Direct Hits (2013), The Killers have sold a combined tally of 6,413,014 album sales in the UK, with Hot Fuss (2,223,300), Sam's Town (1,532,139) and Day & Age (1,286,335) all surpassing the million mark.

so their opening figures:
Hot fuzz 29K
Sams Town 268K
Day & Age 200K
Battle 93K
Wonderful 51K
