I'm confused - if they're new entries, then by definition they must be debuting on the chart? I assume he's referring to debut albums - making roughly the same point as the one I made in Friday's commentary. We are getting lots of new albums in the chart, but they are from established artists. |

Apparently they are number 14 on the UK charts already after only Sunday nights sales.

but it's true what Minty says, this year there has been no new act breaking big, in recent years we've had all those new UK singer songwriters like James Bay, George Ezra, Emeli Sande, Sam Smith and of course Ed Sheeran that were selling consistently throughout the year, also pop acts like Jess Glynne or Years & Years... but no one this year that I can think of

Looks like Oasis could take #2 who wants a repackaged album , at least KoL have a sizeable lead, 55k is probably doable for the week.
Little Mix are probably looking at a top 3 finish and chasing for the #1 next week, they are just over 10k, not bad for 4 hours. |

And that 10k for Little Mix is 100% from sales, as the Spotify/Apple Music data for yesterday is missing!

Considering their lead on iTunes, I'll be surprised if Little Mix aren't #1. That lead might make up for what they lack in streaming (although I'm sure they'll add on a fair amount in that medium as well).

Very exciting update *.* I'd hope & can see every one of those climbers/new entries holding up except for maybe The Vamps. Be funny if they drop out in favour of Shawn Mendes
G'won Hailee & Little Mix tho This post has been edited by ★Rob S~: 17th October 2016, 02:51 PM |

And that 10k for Little Mix is 100% from sales, as the Spotify/Apple Music data for yesterday is missing! That's excellent! With their current lead on iTunes they should be able to get to #4 or #5 by the end of the week. Whether they get to #2 or #3 will depend on how fast their lead on iTunes decreases (which won't start until later today I believe) and how quickly their streaming builds up (looks like quickly after entering #54 with ~4 hours yesterday). |

Hope all those new entries can stay in, I guess The Vamps is the most unstable but maybe it could scrape Top 40?

Wow that's not great for Rebecca, it's a superb album. Any sales?
I expected her to be 3-4 and then drop off in the week but she's already at a low position. She might not even be Top 10 at this rate! |

She might not even be Top 10 at this rate! She'll be safe for Top 10 I reckon. She's over the 5k mark and outsold three of the albums above her yesterday. |

Rebecca won't have any problems staying top 10, she might even climb from the mids!
The Vamps' position in the top 40 singles is less secure, it's hard to tell really but I expect they'll just miss out unfortunately. |
