CBBC have caused OUTRAGE on Twitter by posting a tiered ranking of some of their classic shows, with legend like Basil Brush and Tracy Beaker NOT in the "legend tier"... Tracy Beaker is trending in the UK as a result *.*
I'm looking forward to doing this later
Horrible Histories, Dick & Dom in da Bungalow, Trapped, Raven and Sarah Jane Adventures are all correctly in the legend tier but Tracy Beaker and Stupid should definitely be there too. Chucklevision in the mid-tier, really?!
I found myself talking to my friends about Stupid when I suddenly remembered that skit where that lad's nan always pretended to be dead! Wtf was that show?
I also watched an episode of Dick & Dom in da Bungalow last year and I can't believe that show was on TV. The way they took the mickey out the kids is such a mood.
I was drifting from CBBC by the time Horrible Histories really became a thing so it's not really got any memories attached like most of the other shows, even though it seems to be one of the most well-loved CBBC shows!
I feel like this generation of kids shows just won't be topped, I'm sure I'm biased there but like you say Liam, some of the stuff Dick & Dom got away with was crazy looking back that sorta thing surely wouldn't get onto the air now. Even watching back some early episodes of the Basil Brush reboot and some of the jokes in there.... !
Horrible Histories is definitely legend tier, they were right on that one. I think Raven and The Secret Show were correctly placed there too. Bamzooki, Chucklevision and Shaun the Sheep were placed too low for sure, I'd say Tracy Beaker should probably be moved up as well. It feels harsh on Newsround to have them at the bottom too actually.
I've just remembered that show Best of Friends where groups would receive tasks and treats based on what colour their tongue would turn after eating a sweet. Sounds naff describing it and tbh it's naff watching it now but I used to love it as a kid!
omg Rani from Best of Friends, we stan
God tier - Shaun the Sheep, Mona the Vampire, Raven, The Secret Show
:3
Shaun the Sheep, Horrible Histories and Tracy Beaker are arguably the most successful of the shows - and all 3 are still going in some form!
Me about to rage at Joseph for putting Dick & Dom in 'bad tier' before I realised there are 2 different Dick & Dom shows and Bungalow is rightfully in god tier. x (I don't know what 'The Legend of Dick & Dom' is oops)
i know about 6 of these shows (((
Where's Clutter Nutters tbh
Missed a few out as they were a bit before/after my time but here you go:
I always wanted my primary school to apply to go on 50/50. I'll do this soon.
This talk of CBBC shows has got me revisiting the Dick & Dom episode I watched last year.
Amber really had no time for their shit.
Omg them only putting Tracy Beaker on the second tier
I think Dick wore a 'Morning Wood' T-shirt once on Dick & Dom In Da Bungalow.
I meant the CBBC Tier Ranking, WhoOdyssey.
What's that show with the three kids around some glowing colours that was on JosephAvery's ranking?
Getting that late 2000's feel
Trapped! had the basic "complete these challenges" but with a mischievous twist to spice it up.
The Secret Show had some good secret agent satire to it. I have heard about a similar animated show on Nickelodeon called The X's, but with a bit of Incredibles mixed into it.
MI High was one of the shows that got me to appreciate those with a dramatic like tone as well as apply continuity smoothly through each season.
The Observator in the 50/50 was one of the many sources of my early music discoveries such as Basement Jaxx, Royksopp and The Offspring.
I would put The Basil Brush Show a bit higher up, but I prefer the 1970's version (which I have a compilation DVD of somewhere)
Sorry I've Got No Head was filled with random humour sketches from what I remember. My favourite part has to be the "SHE'S A WITCH!" segments. The thought of witch hunters from the Stuart times living in a more modern time period was really amusing. XD
I feel like I should watch more of SJA, since I'm a big Doctor Who fan.
The Young Dracula theme song was very good though.
The only thing I remember from Stupid! was its theme song, and the credits sequence of King Stupid calling the people in the credits names. Maybe I should have put it on the "IHSFMOWT" tier, but I only remember seeing one episode on the channel back in 2009.
I feel like I should have put Smart in the "Haven't seen a lot of" tier. Now that I think of it, I only remember seeing a bit of it back in 2006.
Raven should always be on the top tier.
UBOS was lit.
