The ITV commentator has come close to calling the Italian UEFA official racist just because his country has a poor record of tackling the issue. That claim sounds a little racist to me.

Disgusting behaviour tonight from racists. I think the game may not finish. I just hope we don't get crowd trouble as well. One step way from an abandonment. Could still hear booing after the second time the game stopped.

So sad isn’t it, it just gives football a bad reputation. I can’t believe there were Nazi salutes there as well. I mean make no mistake about it, I still think there is a problem with racism in the UK too. However the difference is I think this is a small minority compared to the Ultras...

Bulgarian police have identified 15 fans they suspect are responsible for subjecting black England players to racist abuse and arrested six of them.
The nine not arrested are under police investigation, with three wanted. |
