Recently, the iHeartMedia Music Summit was held, and many different record companies gathered to showcase their artists' current and future singles, including both American-based artists and international artists signed to an American label in the hopes of impacting here.

How does anyone think that the numerous announcements will affect Billboard?

Hmm...

Honestly the first thing that comes to mind is the Leona promo laugh.gif The Leona forum seems to think Def Jam are very committed to making her succeed so I guess this is... some evidence of that. Perhaps she'll get that follow up smash she's been waiting eight years for. The presence of Nathan Sykes makes me laugh though - it really says a lot about the industry that someone like him could be considered at all worth pushing in the US, even with the success The Wanted had with that one song of theirs.

Can't see much happening for Years & Years unfortunately, but maybe it's good if they stay local. Less time wasted with US promo. Ellie being featured to me seems to say she's not doing the Bond soundtrack, which IMO is bad news for her US career. I feel like whatever her new single is will need to be seriously good to do well, even if she's a bit more established now. Then again 'Burn' was pretty bland and did alright.

Finally, I guess we know we have another top 10 from Taylor coming this year. Didn't really know if I should have expected a 5th single from her as strange as that sounds - but 'Out of the Woods' could take her to six if she wanted.
