Following the recent news that their hiatus is over, it has been confirmed via Instragram this evening that the guys are back in the studio. CANNOT WAIT *.*

Posted by: BridgeCow 10th February 2018, 07:37 PM

AGHHHH SO EXCITED FOR THIS

Posted by: Midge 10th February 2018, 09:29 PM

They were on hiatus?

Since 2013 given the quality of their last album.

I wasn't massively fussed on much I heard. Quite liked "Magnets" though. "Omen" was terrible :/

Please no to another Sam Smith collaboration! I get why they did it, but it was very boring.

Posted by: danG 10th February 2018, 10:29 PM

Bet you they'll lead with a Sam Smith song as that is seemingly the only way they can get a top 40 hit now (poor 'Holding On' just had to miss out).

Posted by: Dexton 11th February 2018, 02:17 AM

Fingers crossed for another song featuring The Weeknd, Nocturnal was amazing and now that he’s basically a household name it would surely get Disclosure another hit

Another Sam Smith feature wouldn’t be too bad tbh, I liked Latch & Omen tongue.gif Returns of Gregory Porter & Lorde would be amazing also wub.gif

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 11th February 2018, 03:40 AM

I was such a huge fan of their first album, but they so massively disappointed me the second time around that I just simply gave up on them.

Let's see what happens.

Posted by: Bjork 11th February 2018, 08:39 AM

agree, anyone but sam smith, Omen was the snoozefest of the year
but the album had great tracks, really liked Jaded and Magnets

Midnight...

Not sure if this is related to "Ultimatum" or not, but I'm excited either way.

HOLY f***ING SHIT

Posted by: dan.G 24th February 2020, 12:58 PM

new music tonight?! cheer.gif

Posted by: jszmiles 24th February 2020, 03:12 PM

Magnets is last great thing they've done, then I've kinda lost an interest.

Looking forward to hear some new stuff though.

Posted by: awardinary 24th February 2020, 03:14 PM

I’m not as excited for this as I probably should be, so I’m hoping to be surprised with a great single! ohmy.gif

Kitchen Mix February 2020:

Posted by: lewistgreen 24th February 2020, 08:55 PM

And here’s the new track! Samples Fantasy by Aquarium Dream

Posted by: awardinary 24th February 2020, 10:44 PM

It’s ok but it’s no XTC from Solardo!

I’m preferring their Moonlight EP from 2018 so far. Also Ultimatum from the same year is still a bop.

Thankfully there is still more to come;

Posted by: Ne Plus Ultra 24th February 2020, 10:57 PM

Love this!

Posted by: Burns 24th February 2020, 10:59 PM

Was listening to their iamspamspamamiset whilst we were eating dinner, was enjoying it! No idea if they played "Ecstasy", will check that out tomorrow.

Posted by: dan.G 25th February 2020, 09:29 AM

‘Tondo’ is coming tonight at 8pm.

Posted by: lewistgreen 25th February 2020, 08:57 PM

Posted by: awardinary 25th February 2020, 09:34 PM

This is better for me than Ecstacy.

Here’s a little further detail about the Tondo track, it’s like a follow up to Ultimatum;

Posted by: dan.G 25th February 2020, 10:20 PM

this one is very disco/groovy, I'm enjoying it more than 'Ecstasy'.

presumably this is all leading up to an EP like the string of releases for Moonlight in 2018. for now I'll presume it'll be titled Ecstasy.

Posted by: lewistgreen 25th February 2020, 10:26 PM

I’m not feeling either of them? I don’t want obscure grooves, I want commercial bops?

Posted by: hlavkus 25th February 2020, 10:28 PM

Both tracks sound amazing, exactly what I like to play in my DJ sets

Posted by: awardinary 25th February 2020, 10:31 PM

This is exactly what I want too, and by extension I imagine the vast majority of their fans. If there aren’t any noteworthy features coming in this era it will be very disappointing. I liked what they did for Khalid recently.

Posted by: dan.G 25th February 2020, 10:34 PM

perhaps this is just a string of club singles whilst Know Your Worth is charting and then they'll be coming back for real with an actual third album?
although that's what I thought with the Moonlight EP then they just went back on hiatus lol.
I am enjoying these but I really do want a proper album again.

Posted by: lewistgreen 25th February 2020, 10:40 PM

And we had Moog for Love EP before Moonlight which also wasn’t very commercial either tongue.gif

Posted by: awardinary 26th February 2020, 10:13 AM

More new music tonight?

Posted by: Red Blooded Man 26th February 2020, 12:47 PM

This is groovy enough for me but I am expecting more.

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 26th February 2020, 03:36 PM

Only heard 'Ecstasy' so far, but it's really good!

Posted by: gavindeejay 26th February 2020, 03:39 PM

Really enjoyed both these songs. Very good.

Posted by: Burns 26th February 2020, 05:56 PM

If Disclosure started churning out the type of music we've been hearing from the likes of Joel Corry, Endor, Regard or Sigala then I'd be both very worried and disappointed. These guys are so much better than that.

Really liking what I've heard from these 2 tracks, as well as what I heard on their iamspamspamamiset the other day biggrin.gif

Posted by: lewistgreen 26th February 2020, 06:07 PM

That wasn’t what we meant when we said commercial?

Latch, White Noise, You & Me, Omen etc - those are the sort of bops we want

Posted by: Burns 26th February 2020, 07:21 PM

Ah! Well I wouldn't call them particularly commercial, they just happened to have mainstream success. That's me though.

Posted by: awardinary 26th February 2020, 08:13 PM

Here it is, their third instalment this week.

Posted by: dan.G 26th February 2020, 09:55 PM

well this is certainly the least essential one so far.

Posted by: gavindeejay 26th February 2020, 10:03 PM

It’s ok. Think I’d enjoy it more if it were shorter tbh! Prefer the previous two tracks they put out this week!

Is there another tomorrow or is this it?

Posted by: dan.G 26th February 2020, 10:11 PM

it hasn't been confirmed but I suspect there'll be two more to come releasing tomorrow/Friday, as it's been the same release strategy as Moonlight EP so far

Posted by: dan.G 27th February 2020, 09:48 AM

Etran out at 5:30pm
premieres on Beats 1 with Zane Lowe

More African vibes to come?

Posted by: Burns 27th February 2020, 06:15 PM

Pretty interesting take. Not sure how often I'd visit any of these singularly but as a group together it should be a good coherent piece of work.

Posted by: awardinary 27th February 2020, 06:15 PM

Posted by: gavindeejay 27th February 2020, 09:22 PM

Not feeling this one. Think the first two were the best so far....

Posted by: Medellíam 27th February 2020, 11:17 PM

Just heard 'Tondo' on Spotify and I'm loving it! heart.gif Living for those disco vibes. Must check out the rest of the EP.

Posted by: dan.G 28th February 2020, 08:55 AM

Get Close is out now as the final track of the EP.

Posted by: BridgeCow 28th February 2020, 02:38 PM

These haven’t really blown me away especially, but they’re all pretty enjoyable. Tondo is great though, and today’s new one is sounding pretty good too. Overall I’d say I much preferred the moonlight stuff, still come back to them sometimes, absolute tunes. Can’t see me coming back to these anywhere near as much though unfortunately.

Posted by: awardinary 29th February 2020, 08:28 PM

I’m no cryptic, but that last sentence there really gets me thinking that we aren’t done receiving new music yet! cheer.gif

Posted by: HiyaLuv 29th February 2020, 10:30 PM

I miss the old Disclosure, nothing from these last two EPs has really grabbed me. Wish the poppier chart-smashing version could come back. I'm full of compliments tonight!

Posted by: Bré 6th March 2020, 05:59 PM

'Tondo' and 'Etran' are the easy standouts here for me, definitely here for more African sounds from Disclosure based on those two and 'Ultimatum'. The other three songs are all good too but they are a little middle of the road by Disclosure standards and probably not ones I'll be coming back to.

Posted by: Tangela 6th March 2020, 06:03 PM

I'm enjoying the EP more and more on each listen, would agree with Bre on the standouts, but "Ecstasy" in particular is a good lead too. "Tondo" and "Etran" are really enjoyable. The EP flows really well.

Posted by: Social Hisstance 25th March 2020, 05:20 PM

Just heard Tondo myself, its great, definitely some 80s ska vibes there for me.

Posted by: Bré 26th March 2020, 05:09 PM

'Tondo' has grown to be up there with their best songs to date for me, such a banger.

I did find out recently though that it's basically just a slightly edited version of this song from 1985:

The subtle edits definitely do make it better but it's great in its original form too.

Posted by: lewistgreen 8th May 2020, 07:41 AM

Tondo has been added to Radio 1’s playlist today!

Posted by: gavindeejay 8th May 2020, 01:27 PM

Great news, by far my favourite of the recent Disclosure releases. Such a summery tune
