20. Spada and Elen Levon - Cool Enoough
Why: Such a cool little song. I feel in love with it in the semi Where I gave it 8 points however I then gave it 15 points in the semi I love it so much. Such a lovely little song and its the production that I love. The way it transcends from beginning to end. Love the vocals too. So glad Ramrynia decided to enter this beauty.
19. Haris - Gold
Why: I loved Hushkanukia's song 'Touch Me (Take Me Tonight)' by Ashley Allen then they sent a song a wasnt a fan of that much. However they came back with Haris which was amazing. I love the guys lyrics and vocals such a great pop song to dance too.
18. Avan Sans - Resonate
Why: The video for this is AMAZING. It is so creative and the visuals work well with this haunting masterpiece. Honsetly so glad I gave it 18 points in the Final. I think it should have been a winner. Just Quintessa amazing entry. Much love from Flynnonda.

I feel that "Gold" is... okay for what it's worth. It just seems weird for Haris to be singing something that isn't house.

17. Kensington - War
Why: In my début contest I really wanted this to Q. It wad fun and full of energy. Reminded me of summer and just seemed like a massive hit in the making. This was so energetic I still listen to it now Justice for Sangria tbh
16. Transviolet - Bloodstream
Why: In my opinion Florina's best entry. Such a lovely little song I love the vocals on this. I would normally say they are haunting but I find them quite sweet, especially in the chorus that is stunningly sweet
15. Kinnie Lane - Je Te Suivrai
Why: This song crept up on me as I didnt point Ultraviolenceland in the contest orginally however I have grown to love it. I would however I see it more as my guilty pleasure. Because its not a song I would typically like. I don't often don't like songs in other languages too but off the expectations it seems

14. Elephante ft RUMOURS - I Want You
Why: This is just a plain Tropical banger. The way the song goes. Its just pure tropicalness. Aprgonia thank you for sending this. It is lovely and so glad I gave it points. Nice entry for the summer or autumn. Not sure when this contest was tbh. But either way yesss for the summer vibes.
13. Brielle - Catch a Star For You
Why: The first of TWO entry for Cor Lupus. We have always given them points. Cor Lupus first entered the same time as we did. This was their first entry and boy was it amazing. The pop ness is really good. We have since always pointed them. Their style always suits us and their not afraid to send a new genre. All round this song and them are very good
12. GFOTY - Friday Night
Why: This is a pure pop banger that took ages to get fully on stan mode. I love this. Hendinia done good. Thanks for entering this banger. I imaging this is a song you would $l*t drop to and twerk too (Yes Im talking directly to you Rob
Posted by: CodySleighBell-y 19th December 2015, 02:59 AM
That was a beautiful write-up for Brielle. I'm honestly still surprised that she made it through the nominations in TBO but I guess it being a cult classic kinda solidifies it. I'm actually having trouble finding another trashy pop song that people would love and hate at the same time because they're either too weak or leaning too indie to be trashy. The closest I had (not including spin-offs, I have "Dear Santa, Bring Me A Man" for that) was "Spotlight" a few months ago, but I gave that to Adam and it flopped. I think my next track is gonna be another slow track but less pop than "Ghosts" was.
Seeing April's inner rave girl was exciting and I can't decide whether that or "Figure 8" is her best entry, and "Friday Night" officially clicked with me back in October. Those are the types of tracks that I love to see in BJSC because everyone gets their panties in a stretch about being inspired.

Your very welcome, I meant every word. I am not surprised tbh its one of your best. I think going different with each entry works for you and looking forward to your song tbh.
This is her best by far and I am glad it hit you in October it is pure fab

11. Harper - White Lies
Why: The production is this starts of really slow and very atmaspheric. Then it suddenly charges into this big bold pop song. I love the charlie and the choclate factory bit. Her vocals are also very good. I thought LEV would be my Mulgracia song of the year but this is BETTER. James I hope you read this because I love this song. Well done hun.
In the Top Ten we have these countries left.

Cor Lupus

10. Sigala - Easy Love
Why: When Aquafina brought this entry into the contest I was really happy as I started playing this song on Plug.dj shortly before as I was in love with it. The sample of Jackson 5's 'ABC' is really good. Overall the song is really feel good and just a great dance song.
09. Dealta Heavy - Ghost
Why: I love the song first as its a good and weird dance song. The video however is pure old skool I love the use of the old Mircosoft paper clip throughout the video. Good song that eventually won the contest. Well Done #00274E.
Posted by: CodySleighBell-y 24th December 2015, 04:34 PM

I gave Machineheart 11 in the final
I gave Ghosts a 12 and I really prefer it

08. Kove ft Moko - Hurts
Why: I have chosen this song mainly for Moko's vocals. The bassline and production is good though too, However Moko's vocals really sell the deal for me Aeroche really did pick a fantastic song here. Well Done.
07. Osca - Blood
Florina Take my 7th best discovery in this countdown. Why I have chosen this song is because It is beautiful, Its such a slow and gentle song that makes you feel ease and its perfect for a Sunday chillout slumber. I gave them 15 in the final of 75. SLAY. Such a great song and didn't do well in the final
06. Audrey Napoleon - Dope A La Mode https://vimeo.com/66681394
Why: Purely an Instrumental the song relies on the production and boy does it deliver. The video is even more better. If you haven't seen it I urge you too. The video is probaly the main reason why its so high as much as I love the song, the video sold it for me.
Posted by: CodySleighBell-y 28th December 2015, 07:03 AM

When I first heard it I was shocked but good shocked

05. Special Request - Ammnesia
Why: Thanks to Annie Mac I knew about this before the contest then Cumulonimbia had sent them in the latest BJSC (BJSC 80). It reminds me of a old rave song from the 90#s but also remains quite new which is special too see especially how dated, generic or recycled dance music can be most of the time. It also remians somewhat indie at the same time (might be wrong there) but that is due to how unique it is.
04. Kishi Bashi - I Am the Antichrist to You
Why: I didn't vote orginally in the contest this was in. the reason being there was other songs I liked more at the time. HOWEVER it really crept on me and just seems like a great timeless classic indie record that is so unique and out there. I love the heartbreaking vocals, the production is outstanding. The video seals the deal for me as it tells the story of two cartoon rabbits getting separated from each other.

Hey Hazza, I've just done a bit of a catch-up on this countdown now!
There's a few good'uns so far in your top 10! 'I Am The Antichrist To You' is one of the few BJSC songs this year that genuinely make me really emotional! So stunning. 'Dope A La Mode' is also excellent, I totally agree with your comment of the instrumental being strong enough to capture your attention for the whole duration. Hehe at the vid enhancing your enjoyment of it. (snap tbh x) Yay for the cool music vids in this section, 'Ghost' would definitely file under there too.
Great stuff, I look forward to your top 3!

Hi Jade
'I Am The Anticrist To You' is a emotional song and the video is too. Good combo for selling the song
'Dope A La Mode' Glad you agree with me and as the song progresses your attention not only is focused but changes slightly with each different beat. The video does enchance my love for it (Toby being straight teas )
'Ghost' is a really good video too
Thanks for the comment

03. Courtney Barnett - Pedestrian At Best
Why: What I love about Courtney Barnett is her song-writing. Her lyrics are a cross between humorous, witty and dead pan. These three adjectives suit her and sums her up well. If you haven't heard her album I strongly urge you too, its amazing every song is just amazing. Her ability to tell a story through witty lyrics is amazing. I really do think she is the best songwriter in a long time and how she is not mainstream yet is beyond me (although same time happy with her being indie )
Now Cor Lupus vs N-Lazone

Hey Harry,
Great to see that you enjoyed “Amnesia” - I also discovered it listening to Annie Mac. You're right that the tune sounds early 90s, the breakbeats and synths in the track by Paul Woolford were deliberately used to replicate the sounds of that era. Also excellent to see “Pedestrian At Best” in your Top 3, I think it is easily one of the best BJSC entries of the year and even though I already knew it before it was entered I gave it high marks - it will be very high up in my Top 100!

Hi Doctor Blind,
For me it reminds me how Jamie XX done 'All Under One Roof Raving' creating a song that celeberates the raving era i.e. The 90s. I can see why Paul Woodford used the breakbeats and synths in this track to show that this is a tribute to 90s raving music.
Funnily enough I didn't give Courtney Barnett a lot of points as I heard it before hand but I wish I gave it more as I adore it one of my fave BJSC enteries of the year by far love it. Will keep an eye out for it in your top 100
Thanks for the comment

Its Come To The Final Two....
Cor Lupus takes on N-Lazone...
Who Will Be First ....
Who will Be Second.....
Let's See...
02. Five Knives - Savages
Why: What a Tune this is. I have no idea where Cor Lupus get their music from, Every entry has been different and really good, was hard. This is my favourite they have ever sent. The electronic beats in the chorus along with the 'Oh Oh Oh...' really go well. Not only that the chorus is really super catchy every time I hear it it manages to go in my head and stay there for ages. Anyway Cor Lupus/Cody if you read this I want to tell you Well Done. You thrashed 18 others including yourself to get to this spot, be proud of that, Love this so so so so much. Well Done Bae
That Means a N-Lazone Entry has won
01. Sinead Harnett - She Aint Me
Why: I heard this before the contest and I liked it, wasn't in love with it then. Then the contest came up and N-Lazone entered it and from then my love for this. Its smooth RNB with a classic yet modern feel to it. People can relate to the song and the vocals are very good. I gave Them full 18 poins in the final because it always gets in my head even when I do not listen to it. I love it by. It was a very close call for number one. I just wish it did more in the final. Did not deserve to be where it was. I really think if backed Sinead Harnett will be huge, but doesnt look likely right now
Hope you enjoyed my Top 20 countdown - See you in the next year for my BJSC contests

Our first entry of 2016 is by New York Band Panama Wedding. I first got recommending this by Cody SlayBerry. I heard of their name but never delved into their music till now. Ever since I heard this song I became hooked and thought it was great for our first contest of the year.
Like The 1975 or HOLYCHILD this would be for you

Our second entry of 2016 is by US electronic rock Band Magic Man. They was formed in 2010 by Alex Caplow and Sam Lee. I first got recommending this by random youtube search and I fell head over hills in love with this track. It is super catchy and was thrilled that they had been sent before as they are too good not too be sent.
Like Bear Hands or Joy Wave this would be for you

My Potentials - 87
1. Wyvern Lingo - Letters To Willow
Karen Cowley, Caoimhe Barry and Saoirse Duane are Irish three piece alt-pop called 'Wyvern Lingo', hailing from County Wicklow in Ireland. They beautifully blend Pop and even use their influences of rock and R 'n' B to bring something unique to the musical plate. 'Letters To Willow' shows this perfect with a catchy as hell chorus all three women's voices blend well together. Will they be Flynnonda's entry for 87?
2. Our Last Night - "Diamonds" ft. Luke Holland
Next up we have American post hardcore rock band, Our Last Night. Out of all their songs this is the one I have clicked with the most, so rocky and a catchy song. The Song features Luke Holland, their friend and fellow Drummer for the song and video. Could these lads be rocking it out for Flynnonda?
3. Beaty Heart - Flora
A slice of South London indie goodness for my third potentials. This is the track that brought my attention to them and recently I have had a re-kindled moment with it. Its really light indie goodness. The Flynnondian people have responded well to this but could it be the entry for next month?
4. Young Franco - Close 2 U Ft. JOY (Luke Million Remix)
Brisbane born Producer and DJ - Young Franco, has teamed up with fellow Brisbane artisté, singer JOY. Which has been remixed by fellow Aussie Luke Million. An all australian get together The song is so feel good, sultry due to the vocals and really makes you toe tap. Literally only been on my radar since today basically but it made me toe tap so much due to the dance that I had to have it as a potential. It has been a while since Flynnonda have turned to dance so could this be it?
5. The Academic - Mixtape 2003
Another Irish band this time hailing from Mullingar. Similar to Beaty Heart I heard this song on the radio and fell in love with it. However, this is more feel good indie pop than Beaty Heart which I would say is more the softer side to indie music. I would say The Academic is a lot like Circa Waves/Catfish and The Bottlemen in a way. This last potential be the one to fly the metaphorical flag for Flynnonda?
Feel free to give feed back and rank them 1-5 any little helps.
'Diamonds' is a good rock song and definitely my favourite here, I think it would be a qualifier unless it gets a really bad semi! Like I said to mdh, I think if that's your favourite you should probably go with it anyway. 'Close 2 U' is probably the safest choice here but a very nice song that I also think should qualify (but I'm a bit hesitant to say this after your last 2 entries somehow fell so far short). 'Mixtape 2003' is good too but think it would very likely be another DNQ. Not too keen on the last two.
(last set of potentials I'm listening to tonight - I'll get to Addy's and Math's tomorrow ~)

I can see what you mean by Our Last Night's song thats why I am hesistant to sent it kind of in case of wrong semi. Hmm I can see that with Academic slightly. Anyway Thanks for you opinions, any bad or good opinions welcome.

Letter To Willow >>> Mixtape 2003 >>>>>> Diamonds > Close 2 U >> Flora
Definitely go Letter To Willow, very unique and I think it could have wide appeal - it appeals to a bit of pop, a bit of indie, a bit of folk/country. Mixtape 2003 is a really nice indie-rock song, not too dissimilar to the likes of COASTS who I loved last year or whenever Harmonica sent them.
The other 3 don't grab me at all but I agree with Bre that Close 2 U is probably the safest bet for a Q of all 5 but then a low placing in the final. Letter To Willow and Mixtape are perhaps riskier but have more of a chance of getting a higher placing than the rest if they do appeal and qualify.

Here we have Bulgarian artist Ruth Koleva with her song Oceans. The singer is a Rnb/Jazz/Soul/Pop singer it feels new and refreshing in her music and this song prooves how refreshing she can be on the market. The production mixes RNB/Jazz influences with indie pop music. Could she refresh Flynnonda with a Q?
Will they be Flynnonda's entry for 88?
5. LKA - Wildfire
So yes Turbulence flopped for us but we love this new song from LKA so we thing she deserves redemption. This song is a bop and so much better than Turbulence ;o. Could she do better in BJSC 88 and Q
Feel free to give feed back down below too anything helps.

BJSC 88 - Cor Lupus
Ruth Koleva - Oceans
[size=3]Meet Bulgarian RNB pop singer Ruth Koleva With a soulful yet intricate voice leading the way over natural Jazz/RNB lead production its not hard to see why Flynnonda have chosen her to be our artist this month. Creating a great pop infused chorus and a striking video to go with this song. Perfect singer to represent us this month
If You Like: Lana Del Ray or Emeli Sande's Vocals then Ruth Koleva might be for you[size]

BJSC Spin Off - Instrumentals
Meet Melvv an 19 year old American electronic/House music producer who currently lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His song 'Reflection' is the prefect type of upbeat dance which is also so catchy I find it hard not to move while listen to it . We choose him for this spin off purely for this reason

BJSC 89 - Jadakissnia
Mount Tyrant
Finally after months of searching Flynnonda have found a rock song they love and want to send . Meet Texas Indie Rock Band Mount Tyrant. The members are Hunter Fitch, Tre Rollins, Brandon Saiz, Kyle Holman and Alexander Hernandez
If You Like: Jule Vera, Waterparks and Beautiful Bodies you will like this I reckon.
Posted by: Jade 5th October 2016, 10:39 PM
Couldn't believe it when I noticed this popping up! I bookmarked this as something I could possibly send as a very non-Jadakissnia entry one day if I had nothing else. Not my usual thing but the combination of the catchy chorus, instrumentation and backing vocals all go great together. Hope you qualify with this!!

1. 91 Entry
Please welcome our 91 entry 'King No-One' who are a four piece indie-rock band from Yorkshire. The four members are called Zach Lount, Joe Martin, James Basile and Alex Townsley. We have sent their great indie rock banger 'Alcatraz'. FUN Fact: recently I found out why the lead singer has his nipple covered up and it turns out he is making a statement about equal censorship in a quote that was said on their facebook as to the reason why Zach wears the tape '"To show solidarity with women - if they can't, I can't. Free the nipple, or give us equal censorship" #FREETHENIPPLE
2. Rejects results
We came 16th with Ruth Koleva - Oceans and we came 36th with LKA'S Turbulence. Honestly thank you to anyone who pointed these two underdogs these two I did not expect to get into the final of Rejects so for that I am grateful .

So an update on Rejects both TYNE - Crawl and Mondo Grosso - Labriyth were voted to the final of Rejects and I am happy that they have as it was a pretty tough compitition. Thank you all that voted for them <3.
Andra Chansen
Another bit of news is that the songs from the spin-off Andra Chansen (gonna class it as a spin-off) were released. The whole point of the contest is two send songs from you or from other people that deserve a second chance. We sent one of our favorites from Cor Lupus that we felt should have Qualified in BJSC 82 so we are giving the song another shot by entering it ourselves. Much Excitement.

Worldvision III Entry
We are proud to annouce that we got Germany in the third edition of Worldvision. We will we be sending Revolverheld and their song "Das Herz schlägt bis zum Hals" which according to a lyric translate website means "The heart is in the mouth (The heart is pounding madly)" not sure which one is right but hype for my entry. It sounds like what you usually expect from Flynnonda
BJSC 101 Entry
If Worldvision was what you usually expect from us well this I dont think you would think I would send. For one it doesnt sound like a dance track I would usually enjoy but there is something about it I really like. I think it's how well the vocals and production that just work well for each other. I am excited to say that LA DJ King Henry who has teamed up with Sasha Sloan for their collaboration 'I'll Be There'

BJSC 103 Results and catch up
After two DNQ'S from 'Ill Be There' and BJSC 102's Lily Lillly Ahlberg's 'Bad Boys' we finally got another Q under our belts from Australian band 'Cloud Control' and their song 'Treetops' which is off their recent third album 'Zone'. Sure it finished in the bottom 10 but it recieved two 18's from Quintessa and Suededonia. Thank you all for getting Flynnonda another Q. See you in New Lexico (I presume) for BJSC 104.

It did just avoid being in the bottom 10 actually!! Still deserved better as this was one of my faves from Flynnonda to date but glad that at the very least it put a stop to your DNQ streak again.

BJSC 104 Entry
UK music Producer Jake Alder has teamed up with Finnish, Tokyo Born singer-songwriter LKA who if you remember representer Flynnonda in BJSC 85 (and did not qualifiy but hoping for the opposite outcome this time around). Their collaboration is called 'Chasin' Time' and it is sublime and actually a old potiental of mine that I rediscovered on Spotify and had to send it somewhere.
BJSC Spin off: 90's vs 00's
For this contest we are representing the 2000's with British all-girl pop/rock band. Who had one top 20 hit with No Sleep Tonight. Their follow up and our entry for this spin-off 'Jump' did not do as well peaking at 21 and seems to be relatively forgotten about. Also, shoutout to our alternative entry if we had got 90's Enigma's TNT For the brain, listen to it, it is such a tune.

BJSC 106 Entry
Austrlian singer-songwriter and youtuber Tyde Levi is our entry this month. His debut single 'GOLDCHAINS' is the perfect balance of slick Zayn Malik 'Pillowtak' vibes (but ovbs way better than that trash xx). Fun fact. Tyde Levi is Troye Sivan's 18-year-old brother and is just as talented.
