I would love Kylie to give us the album we didn't get with X.

I love X when you add all the outtakes and take out the incongruous tracks (2 Hearts, All I See, Cosmic...).

That harder electro pop with an 80s New Wave edge, could be a nice progression from Disco.

An album with songs on the lines of like a drug would be something I'd absolutely love.

I am perhaps in the minority of wanting her to be done with the disco~ sound and moving back to something more raw and heartfelt and along the lines of some of her more experimental albums! It'd be far more exciting and unexpected and she has accomplished everything and more so why not produce the music she's most passionate about. If she's giving us 'Slow' part 2, I say bring it on!

I'd definitely be here for this too! Kylie's proven herself so many times and I'd love for her to surprise us yet again - especially at this point in her career where a big hit single isn't really a necessity anymore. I'm slightly biased as Impossible Princess is my fave Kylie album, I wouldn't want her to just recreate that of course but I feel like public goodwill towards Kylie is so much higher than it was back then (idk, I didn't experience that era myself but I just feel there's less snobbery towards pop music/artists these days) so it'd be interesting to see how a more experimental release would be received.

There is def alot more goodwill for Kylie now than when IP was released, i suppose at that time it was a time when kylie got the least love of all her career but to be fair i think Kylie for the most has had good will behind her it was more of on what level than anything else. Im all for Kylie trying something new, for me she experimented on Golden and Disco and both worked out brilliantly and im hopeful she can again surprise us with a new sound and give us another great album for our collections. Id love Kylie to go down a dance/club root, i think there is a a good opportunity to build on a sound that she did brilliantly with Butterfly, she never really done and album in full of that type of sound, a butterlfy/ like a drug vibe album could be brilliant.

Kylie has been in the studio with Kamille today.

Kamille sent the tweet out.

Good news!

Nice! She’s worked on loads of songs with Little Mix so should know how to write a good pop song.

That's exciting! I assume they're going for a more modern, slickly produced pop sound this time.

i wonder if we are going to get this album sooner rather than later......... They could still release a song in August and put on Pre-order for an October date...... then announce a tour for Spring/Summer 2023.

Maybe getting my hopes up.......

Not if there's still a back log on producing vinyl. I think the album would have to be pretty much ready to be printed now if they were to be ready in time for a Q4 release.

I highly doubt it. If we see this album before summer 2023 I'll eat my hat.

I think we will see the first single at least from a new album out this year, even if not the album until early 2023, though I still think 2022 is a possibility....

Covid could also still cause problems

Kylie has indeed pulled up on streaming massively with Disco.
The album versions of 16 tracks of the deluxe edition of Disco accumulate 136m plays on Spotify, while for Golden the same number is on 78m. The biggest song is still 'Dancing' though, but it had bigger lifetime to pick up the streams.

I hope the streaming success of Golden and (hopefully) the quality of the next album will open more doors for the streaming playlists next time.

The streaming improvement is so welcomed and a great step in the right direction.

Yeah they've definitely taken some liberties to come up with that figure. Comparing it to the UK only sales of 'Kiss Me Once' too.
